Yesterday we needed to buy the most basic thing you would buy in an auto parts store . My partners needed washer fluid. She did decide to go in herself. It seemed pretty straightforward. I recommend it to her that we buy 20/10 concentrated washer fluid. this is an extremely well-known product. It's has no dyes in it. The parts agent at the desk told my partner. "He had never heard " of it and that they did not have it in stock and sold her some premixed washer fluid which is fine. I use that fluid it in my own car, but it wasn't what we asked for. His response to her was he had never heard of it and they did not have it instead of looking it up like they do for almost every customer. Who's looking for a fuse or a brake pad, or anything else . When she got back to the car, I checked on the website and it was in stock at that store, so I decided to go in and just ask him about it. It wasn't too busy in the store, and I thought it would be ok. He's a man of my age. Who's likely worked around vehicles for a long time. He was wearing a Safeway hat, which I thought was kind cool in its own way. Because there was someone ahead of me. I decided to get the part, which was displayed in the back of the store clearly, with the other two brands of washer fluid. I waited for the agent to become available. He took someone ahead of me who had went out to their car and was coming back, which which happens at these stores. When it was my turn to get to the counter, I showed him the white bottle of 20 10 fluid and said to him gently that I wanted him to know that the product was in stock, and it was our first choice. His response was. He said he did not know had the product and it was in stock but he did not say to me he had "never heard" of the product. Which would've surprised me if he had not. I told its concentrated, and therefore, it's easier to store, for the long-term use His response to my comment after showing the product was not defensive and therefore somewhat favorable. He said, I would have to mix this product with water, and I told him we can get water. I can't say this was a five star experience because we weren't able to buy a product that was on in the shelf on the store, but I do think his reaction was good, and I appreciated it. I would be happy to go back there again when went and if they need a rises. read more

These guys basically left me stranded in the parking lot, giving me no options but to tow my car! After my car wouldn't start, I had roadside assistance give me a jump start to get to Autozone for a new battery. They tested it and said it was actually a bad alternator, and told me to go to O'Reilly's if I wanted another battery test to confirm. Autozone gave me a jump start to get to O'Reillys, and told me I could just get another jump start from O'Reillys to get home. They did test my battery/alternator, so I'll give the worker a star for that. But he could not jump start my car, blaming it on the battery corrosion. How come 3 other people were able to do it without a problem? I asked if his manager (who just helped someone else in the parking lot) could help. All she did was give him a business card to give me for a towing company. I had to have my friend come out, and he was able to give me a jump start in 2 minutes. Never giving these guys my business, and will tell all my friends to go to Napa. read more

My 2019 Equinox had trouble starting this morning. I had received an email from OnStar saying my car's battery was critically low. I went into O'Reilly on 29th and State Avenue and was greeted my Ryan. He was very kind, professional and surprisingly upbeat for 8:00am. He came outside without a jacket in the cold, check the battery and alternator (just to be sure). It was the battery and he quickly sold me a new one and installed it (at no extra charge). Outstanding customer service! I stopped by O'Reilly this morning for much needed new windshield wipers. The guy who helped me was able to look up the correctly size windshield wipers quickly. He walked me to the aisle with the windshield wipers (didn't just point in the general direction of the aisle), was knowledgeable about why one type may be better than another, but didn't try to sell me the most expensive ones, grabbed the wipers in the size I needed and then rang up my purchase. He also installed the wipers for me. The whole process took less than 15 minutes and I now have a streak-free windshield! read more

We came in with a couple of scratches on our rental and we were worried the rental company would charge us through the roof for repair. Great hours for us working folks. I never have had an issue with customer service or parts. I needed to replace the ball joints on my wife's Explorer, but you need a special tool set to get them out. I got stuck at Ross this morning because my battery died on me. Couldn't get a hold of my husband to have him either jumpstart the car or pick me up a battery so I called O'Reillys to see if they had a battery that would fit my car. And then I told the guy that I was gonna have to be towed over there and I wasn't sure about putting the battery in myself. He told me they'd be happy to install it for me. The tow truck dropped the car and I went in and purchased the battery and they were pretty busy but said that as soon as they could clear things out they'd come help me. It didn't take long and Sky who had sold me the battery came out and installed it for me super quick! I tried to tip him for helping me but he wouldn't take the tip. The least I can do is leave a Great review for the business I am so grateful for his help. I couldn't have done it myself and it would have cost a lot more if I had to go to an auto repair shop. I was greeted immediately by one of the employees and he later came to ask me if I needed help. The layout is is pretty predictable for an Auto parts store, just compact and pricing is comparable to other stores. 12:15 pm on Thursday, July 23. I came in to Wailuku O'Reilly auto parts to have my check engine light serviced. I noticed a O'Reilly auto parts worker with the tag and a uniform walking around the store without his mask on. I kindly said "sir I cannot take antibiotics-would you please use your mask while you're in the store as mandated by your store policy. " Apparently his name is Will and he replied saying that's too bad for you, loud enough for me to hear as he was walking away. This is so unprofessional and disrespectful to an obviously an elder as I am. Not to mention that I am a customer and I should be treated with respect. COVID-19 does not care if you have an attitude or not. Your own store policy mandates a mask to be worn inside the enclosed area of your store. So I approached him and I said that is rude for you to say that and I asked him to apologize and put his mask on. He did refused to apologize. It was then he did put his mask on but he said "OoooOookay, MOTHER!" Rude again! This is when I started yelling at him-I am a customer and obviously a grandmother. In Hawaii we respect our elders. The other workers gathered around and watch the chaos but did not intervene on behalf of my self. They had a look of concern but appeared to be afraid of this guy will. Only Clatin was very professional and calm. He gave me a card with the district manager Justin's number and Sky Malachi' card. Well I was explaining The situation to Clatin-Will kept over-talking me in a disrespectful manner. I told him to shut up I'm not talking to him and I would appreciate if he would apologize. He replied "I sorry YOU feel that way!" He said he's very flamboyantly, rolling his eyes. I reminded him that is not an apology because it's not taking ownership that-it's my fault he is so rude. it was then he told me to get out of the store. I want to give a big shout out to Claytin because he remain calm gave me the store managers card, Sky Nakachi, And the district Justin manager's phone number. And he proceeded to come outside to my car and do the check engine light detection. Apparently I have and auto lock brake situation on one of my wheels. 1:20 pm, same day, I talked to Sky Nakachi and he said that our employees do a lot of heavy lifting in the back and that's why he wasn't using a mask in the front part of the store store. I told him will was not lifting anything in the front of the store where is the public is allowed to shop. And I reminded Sky masks are mandated in the store where the public shops. I asked Sky to resend that statement because it is erroneous excuse where no excuse is allowed as masks are mandated. I actually gave him an out but he would not have his employees wear masks in the store. He kept on the vein that his employees left a lot of stuff in the back and I reminded sky that will was not lifting anything in the front of the store we are masks are mandated. Sky would not rescind his excuse That his employees do not have to wear masks in the store because of " physical labor in the back." This is very dangerous and potentially deadly for your customers to be exposed to COVID-19 due to your employees from management on down not to wear masks in the store. We went to O'Reilly auto parts to find a new battery. It's never really a fun place for me to go but I decided to go anyway and play on my phone while my husband figured it out. Gerry came along and helped us plug in all the info we needed. Instead of getting an expensive $200 battery, he found us one for $129. He got us checked out and on our way with a big smile. This was the fastest and best experience that I've ever had in a car parts place. It was so quick and smooth, that I didn't have any time to even play on my phone or get any more pictures.
