After seeing my sad review of this NAPA store, I was contacted by their management. They explained that one month before I purchased my battery, their vendor changed the warranty from 65 prorated months to an 18 month warranty. Sounds hard to believe, but apparently, all car battery suppliers did that. Have they lost faith in their products? I was asked to call the operations manager, who offered to return the amount that the remainder of the 65 month would provide. It was a good solution to this problem. read more

They would not honor the online price after I ordered a part (and paid for it) and went to pick it up. They gouged me in the store for the shipping from Oahu. Pretty weak. The shipping cost is assumed in the online checkout price, and why I had to wait a couple days. The also wouldn't loan me an OBD2 scanner. All the other auto supply stores will. It's just good customer service to let you use it in their parking lot, so you can then buy the parts you need from them. I've done that my whole life, and this is the first time I've ever been refused. I really don't see any reason to ever go back considering Oreillys is right down the street and is cheaper. read more

You'd think this location would be flexible with returns during the COVID crisis. My merchandise was shoved back across the counter and refused. Package was unopened. They cited it had been more than 15 days since my purchase. Buyer beware. I'd be certain you are able to get back quickly or take the loss. read more

No one knows what they're doing. I went to Napa to test the starter when my car broke down. They tested it, said it was fine.. nothing wrong with it. I spent 5 more hours trying to fix my car and testing every possible thing wrong with it when I was pretty sure it was the starter. Went back in to test the starter again, she said re-tested it and said there was something wrong with the starter and that it looked weird before but didn't say anything. I wasted 5 hours of my time taking apart every inch of my car to fix it when in actuality they just had someone who couldn't read the test right. Don't have someone behind the counter if they can't actually help. read more

Old guys working there don't know how to use their computers to find parts reserved for pickup, one guy has raging meth sores on his face and the "manager" was dropping F bombs on the store phone at full volume speaking to the Wailuku store at the front counter. The meth head sold me the wrong part and when I went back to exchange it they said they were closed (it was 4:32 and they closed at 4:30) so I told the manager his guy sold me the wrong part and he just shrugged his shoulders and got in his car. Best place on Maui to get your car fixed up. I was having trouble starting my car for a few days until I went in and asked them to do a battery check. They did it for free and we found that my battery was very low and needed replacing. You have to do most of the work yourself but they're very helpful if you need any questions on how to install something. Much more helpful and efficient than the dealerships on the island, you will seriously save time and money coming here! read more

Lowen offered to help me install my new car battery at the end of his day and right when it started to rain. A couple years later, I had to replace a car battery in my new car and he remembered me and he offered again to replace it because I didn't have the right tools. Mark the manager at this location would not return a motorcycle battery that was bad to begin with and clearly under warranty. We went there and had it tested...low amperage. We brought in receipt and Mark wanted the receipt of the new battery we bought rather than just accepting the faulty battery and the receipt with the part number. Clearly, this is a busy place for a good reason! I came in, my car battery had just died. They checked it recommended a battery and installed it for me. Wesley was very sweet. He had a lot going on and I'm sure the last thing he wanted to do was to install my new battery. But, after I explained I had no one else to help, he made me a priority. Went to napa this morning and observed employes out front with the garage open smoking and cursing in front of the store. This was my first and last visit to this place. I would highly recommend this place. I am new to Maui and don't have a mechanic here yet. My headlight went out last night... I went in and asked to buy a new bulb. I was going to try and replace it myself. The clerk was really kind and efficient. He even offered to put the replace the bulb for me. I offered to buy him lunch or coffee, and he replied that I didn't have to do that, it wasn't a big deal. I am extremely thankful he was so helpful to me. Great customer service. read more

I bought a set of crows foot wrench extensions. They were too thick so I brought them back for a refund. To my surprise they would not take them back. The clerk pointed to a notation on my invoice that said in small print NO RETURN ON TOOLS. Of course nobody ever sees that until it's too late. They should have a sign posted for all to see at check out so that it is clear before you make your purchase. read more
