I ask to get me a diagnostic the guys told me it was my alternator and it wasn't, it was just terminal post from battery been loose they made me spend 650 plus a night in laredo and hotel expenses for nothing and that not it tho, the new alternator was not properly installed screws where sticking out and grind off the belts inside luckily i was able to make it back ... I repeatedly ask to double check everything the first time and when I came back ... The next day my car was was doing exactly same thing and then all the dashboard ligth came on and also it was choking like if it was out of gas ... to make a long story short they didn't plug the wiring back correctly i let the them seat on the of the engine ... i had to pay to have all that corrected then they left some bolts loose from engine mount ... after I told them to take their time repeatedly to do the job ,they just ignored me. And it was too much ... i really wish I get some of what I expend reimbursed

I limp my car back to the shop for them to fix the problem but in the end, they threw up their hands and said there was nothing they could do, and then tried to blame me for it. Now my car won't run at all. I think What they did here is criminal.

You just stand around waiting for what seems like nothing. It once took my sister an hour just to get her battery checked. There customer service is lacking: they are inattentive and they just ignore the hoards of desperate people waiting. It got so bad, customers went behind the counter to look up their parts on the store computer, while the manager limply stood by doing nothing. I even saw this tiny little petite girl carry out a heavy battery, and no employee at the store offered to carry it out for that fragile little thing, and they didn't even open the door for her, she had to use her slim little hip to power it open. Anybody who needs to have an alternator checked would be better served by going elsewhere. Checkout was also slow, even if you had 10 items or less. It seems like at that Autozone, it's not what you know, but who you know.

I went in for a simple oil change, and as usual, they asked if I wanted to replace the air filter and cabin filter. Nothing out of the ordinary--until I left. When I opened my glove box to put away my receipt, I was shocked. It looked like someone had been rummaging through it, as if they were searching for money or something to take. I have photos showing exactly how I found it. I called immediately, and the employee told me, "Well ma'am, sometimes they need to open your glove box to get to the cabin filter." I explained that this isn't the first time they've checked my filters, and never--not once--has my glove box been left in that condition. I felt completely violated. Thankfully, I didn't have anything valuable in there, but this experience has made me lose trust. From now on, I'll make sure to remove anything important before taking my car in for service. Just a warning to others--be cautious. I'm extremely upset.

We took a trip to Laredo and he immediately wanted to wash the road bugs/dirt off our vehicle. He went in to get an oil change for his truck that comes with a car wash, which he upgraded to a basic interior cleaning. He's pretty particular about keeping his car clean and immediately noticed as he was leaving that the tint on his windows was scratched. Trust that he keeps tabs on exactly what his truck looks like, so this was 100% done here. To be fair, I encouraged him to complain and he said there would be no way to prove it was done there as he didn't have before/after pics, so im not sure what actions would have been taken to correct the damage. So he took the L, but i figured I'd warn others who like to keep their things nice that you might end up having to pay for a new tint job.

Once they finally put the new unit in it was faulty and wouldn't shift from 1st to 2nd gear. After 2 more tries they finally got it to work correctly... Until today. I'm now sitting on the side of the highway at the closest shop I could find. where they informed me the 6 bolts holding the transmission to the transfer case were finger tight. Which the technician said is the fault of the shop that installed it. After calling JR Martinez and politely asking if they would be willing to do anything I got a very short fused woman on the phone. So all this to say, not olny are the mechanics bad, and the parts faulty, but the customer service also sucks! I will not be returning to JR Martinez South!
