But my phone rang just as I arrived and I got distracted and left my keys in the car and locked the door. So I went in and asked the clerk if they could sell me a SlimJim (lockout tool.) It was less than $4, and the two young men came out to my car to help me use it. I would not have gotten the door open without their help, even with the tool. They were very smart and it only took them a few minutes to get my door open. Then I explained my reason for visiting, and one of them did a "check engine" diagnostic reading for free! And then explained to me what it meant and what the implications were. Two young men who gave exemplary service to a tired old lady.

Shops all around town use this Orielly store for their parts, and when a part is defective Orielly sends a new part which Orielly covers plus added labor due to the defective part having to be removed and reinstalled. Not for its customers though. If you buy a part from them and have it professionally installed, the only way to get reimburse for it is to pay the labor AGAIN, just to have it removed, then return it and pay for labor AGAIN to get the new part installed just to hope this one is not defective as well. That would put me at $305 in labor 3x = $915 PLUS $250 for the compressor. I do not have the money to pay for 3x the extra labor so I am still without A/C and $550 down the drain because of their faulty parts and policies to help customers. This store is unfair to customers and only help out their friends in town that have shops. I have been a loyal customer to this store for years and can not believe how terribly I was treated over this matter that could have been easily resolved.

Went to pick up my car around 3pm Monday afternoon and didn't look in the back seat until 5:50pm when I noticed the back seat ripped up with the seat cushion foam all over the seat (like an animal got inside). I immediately reached out to East Cobb Auto and they claim the rip didn't happen on their watch and I must have ripped up the seat in those two hours and brought it back for them to repair. Obviously it happened from Saturday to Monday while in their custody. They claim they do a four door inspection upon completion of work. Obviously that didn't happen either. East Cobb Auto would not cover the seat repair costs I incurred nor did they offer to cover any portion of the repair cost. We have been customers for over 30 years and this was handled very poorly and unprofessionally. Would not recommend leaving your car in their care.

I was in and out in less than 20 minutes and the price for repair was very reasonable. Though I thankfully did not have to wait long, I loved the waiting room. After asking me a couple of questions about my brakes, the mechanic actually tested the fluid with a test strip and showed me that it was perfect. I also asked him to put the car on a lift and assess the control arm. They did that and found zero problems with that. It's always a good idea to get a 2nd opinion! These guys at Pep Boys are my heroes. I feel very comfortable bringing my car back here for maintenance or repairs.

That means they were only able to perform part of the alignment. My issue was being charged the full $140 alignment price for limited work. I asked if there was any reduced rate since only toe could be adjusted, but was told the price is flat rate and could not be changed. The employees were polite, so this review is not about customer service. My problem is paying full alignment price for partial service. In situations like this, I'd rather go to a local independent shop that is more flexible and experienced with older vehicles. I won't be returning, and I'd recommend asking exactly what can be adjusted before agreeing to the service.

No Kidding. They gave us a price quote and we scheduled the appointment. SO, guess what, no bulb needed, existing bulb just loose! They only charged us for the labor. Now I want to ask you: How many mechanics would have not just gone ahead and charged for new bulb? I bet most. We TRUST these people, they have done many things for us with fair pricing and quality results. They are the only ones we allow to change our oil too. This is an honest decent company in an industry where that is RARE.
