O'Reilly's advertises price match but apparently if he doesn't like the competitors price he won't match it! He would not even take the time to call and verify anything and just straight out told me no, he stated that it's managers discretion. Sounds odd to me since it's a company policy! When you purchase a car battery and do not turn in your old battery, they will charge you a core fee of 18 bucks plus tax until you bring in your old battery. When you bring in the old battery, they wont refund you the tax which makes absolutely no sense!! This day June 25, 2021 my girlfriend walked into this O' Reilly Auto Parts store in Covina, Ca to buy a quart of oil and a funnel to pour the oil. She was charged over $35,000. It was a good thing that she checked her receipt before leaving the store. There it was an over $35,000 charge for a quart of oil and funnel. The person that rang up the charge didn't even give her a chance to check the amount of purchase let alone press the button that says " Yes! " The person quickly did the whole transaction as if hoping she wouldn't catch the blunder he had made. She immediately pointed it out to him and he quickly corrected it. However, it doesn't stop there. Because of the over $35,000 blunder my girlfriend's credit is now tapped. She may be charged late fees by the stores with which she has auto payment. She has had and is still running through hoops to get this over $35,000 blunder O'Reilly Auto Parts has caused. She has to deal with her bank and with O' Reilly's headquarters' Accounts Receivable and their Treasury Department. It's a mess! Thank you O'Reilly! I called the store and spoke to a so called store manager by the name of Aldo Estrada. He said he was aware of the blunder. He kept calling it a mistake. I said to him, it's an over $35,000 mistake. I said my girlfriend now has to jump hoops because of what your store has caused. He kept repeated, " It was a mistake! " " It was a mistake! " How can anyone make a mistake like this for simply charging someone buying a quart of oil and a funnel? I requested the phone number to the headquarters and I spoke to the Accounts Receivable and the Treasury Department. Each person at the departments agreed that how was it possible for such a mistake to occur? They said they would investigate the store in question. And see what's going on there. I'm writing this to warn anyone that may be thinking of shopping there to check their receipts before they leave the store and or before they leave the counter area. And don't expect much person to person curtesy they don't have it in them to give. Mr. Johnson the CEO will be hearing of this mess as well. I say this because many businesses need money and community financial support because of COVID-19 mess. You would think that they shouldn't act in such a reckless manner. The manager apologized for the behavior of the associate that was handling my transaction. I purchased some NGK iridium spark plugs without any incident at the store. The customer service here is AWESOME! Especially the manager name Naussen, not just that he helped me out with professional manner, but he seems to be very knowledgeable with cars too. Here's my story...I found out my 2013 range rover evoque left side headlight was broken at night when i got home. I searched online to look for a replacement, and I found this store which has the headlight that fits my car. I also found a video tutorial on youtube that teaches you how to replace it. So then I called the store and asked if they can change it for me, because I don't have the tools to remove several parts of the car before you can change the bulb. Unfortunately, they are not allowed to remove the parts from the car, but they said they can lend me the right tools to do it myself though. It was 9:15 pm and they close at 10, but i couldn't stand my car with a broken headlight. So i walked into the store around 9:25pm and the guys there were very very VERY nice. They greeted me once i walked in and asked me what i needed help with. I told them one side of my car headlights is broken and one of the staff immediately went outside and check for me. Then he went back inside and get the right tools for me. Here's the cool part...as I was waiting outside, the manager name Naussen came out. He took a look at my range rover and less than 5 mins, he removed the bulb without taking off any parts or screws off my car like the youtube tutorial instructed. He just removed one round cap behind the bulb and reached in to take the bulb out. The other staff came out with the ratchet and screwdriver. We were like...what just happened...LOL. Naussen also identified the model of the bulb by just looking at it and went back inside and grabbed the right one. The whole process was about 10 mins and i got my headlight replaced nice and neat.
