Despite their signage out front saying otherwise, this business is listed as 'Batteries Plus' on Yelp. They can be found on the left end of a strip mall in Bolingbrook near the intersection with Weber Rd, near Charley's Cheesesteaks and KO Sushi on Boughton Rd. The other month my 3yo's toy plane ran out of juice, and he asked me to fix it. "Sure buddy, no problem", I told him, "how hard can it be to find a pair of LR41 button batteries? Shouldn't be that expensive..." Famous last words. Come to find out, not only are LR41 button batteries a non-standard type, but they're hella expensive ($5/ea). Button batteries are the bane of my existence and pose a serious health risk, so yes, I hate them with every fiber of my being. The sales associate helped me find what I needed, and $11 later my son's plastic model 737 was making its usual cacophony of noises. Whoever designed that !@&$% toy to use the most obtuse batteries available should be drawn & quartered like in medieval times (the era, not the dinner theatre). * TL;DR * If ever there was a niche store, it's Batteries + Bulbs. I shouldn't need to come back here, unless I'm dumb enough to buy another toy that's powered by atypical means (anything other than 'AA' or 'AAA' batteries).
