It was not what I thought it was (car said brake fluid). He checked it was full. I had to get my car towed. They gave me the information to different towing companies in the area. While I waited, they offered me cold water, a chair to sit in and relax, and great conversation (they could see the frustration on my face about my car ordeal. Instead, I got one of the most frustrating and unsafe experiences of my life. They took two days to complete thats totally fine as i don't have any appointment. When I finally picked up the car, I immediately noticed loud noises from all four wheels, and even worse -- the brakes were not working properly. That's right -- the brakes were worse AFTER the repair. Absolutely unacceptable and extremely dangerous. When I returned to address the issue, instead of taking responsibility, the mechanic started blaming "duplicate parts" and claiming it was a different issue -- even though THEY were the ones who installed everything. He became argumentative, rude, and completely unprofessional. The situation got so out of control that I had to involve the police to settle the dispute. Unbelievable. This shop is not just a waste of time and money -- it's a threat to your safety. If your car is important to your daily commute, work, and family -- avoid this place at all costs. I have been getting my oil changed at this store since it opened. It was always cheap and fast…read moreuntil about 18 months ago. They used to have skilled workers and good customer service. Both were victims of COVID. I will never go back! I went to the Automotive department on 3-14-2021 at about 12 PM with my 2010 Mercury Grand Marquis for an oil change. I was told it would take about an hour and a half. I gave them my keys and shopped around then sat down to wait. After 45 minutes the clerk said "We do not have the oil to do your car". A 2010 Mercury is not a rare car. It is conceivable that a large retailer like Walmart would be out of stock. I got my keys back and drove about 1/2 mile to Princeton Automotive. They changed my oil and got me on my way in under 20 minutes. It cost me about $10 more to have it done there than at Walmart. A real bargain. Their crew was professional and fast. Walmart is going the way of Sears, Kmart, and Montgomery Ward. Walmart cannot fire your competent staff, reduce services, and operate with reduced inventory and expect to stay in business. If your time is worth more than minimum wage, and you expect competent service avoid this Walmart entirely. There are too many good automotive service centers and good retail stores in the area to have to suffer this level of incompetence.
