I presume that he was trying to make me feel good when he said, "I knocked off $90! I didn't have $750 for repairs that he was seeking. Subsequently, I had another state inspection the following month by another inspection station and was told that there was nothing wrong with the control arm and bushings and that I didn't have a leak in my power steering hose and my car passed state inspection!!
