This store has felt completely unwelcoming the past week. I'm going to advanced auto parts down the street from now on.

What more do I need to do to get Advanced Auto Parts to do its job?! The technicians broke the…read moresensor wire on a cable when they replaced my husband's battery in August 2018. The technicians then spliced the wires together, wrapped it in electrical tape and told us to contact the store manager the next day. The store manager blew us off saying he wasn't going to fix it. We then called Advanced Auto Insurance Claims and were given a claim number and told that the district manager would call us. One week later, nothing. We called back. We were then told that there was no note and no reason that Advanced Auto Parts would call us, that we would need to call them. We asked for management. Management was apparently out for the day and the lady left a voicemail saying we would get a call back "soon". One week later, no calls. We called again, management was unavailable again. The next day we called and I waited 30 minutes on hold (although to the woman's credit, she did check back with me periodically so say that she was still trying to get me up to the second floor) to speak with a manager. I finally reached Matt in the corporate office. He claimed that this behavior of no returned phone calls was unacceptable and he didn't know why the district manager hadn't called, etc. He decided that since the store had not done right by us, he was going to bypass them and if I got an estimate for repair sent to him, he would have a check cut to us for the cost. On September 17th I called to report that I had the estimate. Matt was unavailable. I was given an email address to send the estimate to. On September 19th my email (Outlook) sent me an error message stating that my email couldn't be delivered because Advanced Auto Parts server wouldn't accept the email. I called and asked for Matt again. He was unavailable. I spoke with Robert who sits right next to Matt. Robert gave me his email and a fax. I sent the fax and received confirmation it went through. Robert's email was kicked back for the same reason my original email got kicked back. I thought surely, since my fax went through, I would hear from Advanced Auto Parts. Two weeks go by and now it is the end of September, beginning of October, nothing. I call back and get Matt, finally! He says he is really only available by phone on Mondays and Fridays. He doesn't know anything about a fax. I give him the amount of the estimate plus the price for the part and am told that checks are cut Tuesdays and Thursdays and that he is going to overnight a check to us and he guaranteed we would have it by October 4. We still do not have the check. I called today before 8:30am central time and spoke with Robert who said Matt was on a break and he would tell Matt that I had called. He said that he could see where the check had been requested but not where a check had even been printed or a check number even assigned. Robert then had the audacity to tell me that he and I had never spoken before. Four hours later and Matt has not called me. Do I need to get a lawyer?!?! The unprofessional conduct, disrespect, and treatment that we have been shown is reprehensible. Meanwhile nearly 2 months later, we still: 1. Have a car whose battery wires are held together with tape. 2. Have never received a call from Advanced Auto Parts manager, district manager, or management team without having to call them first. 3. Have to call and only once in all the times I have called and had to leave a message have I gotten a call back. 4. Have yet to have any member of Advanced Auto Parts follow through from start to finish.

After being awarded the Triad Yelper of the Year 2024 Award at the Yelpies Award Ceremony last…read moreyear, an event that honored the highest-performing Yelp Elites, I decided that this year, as an All-Star Yelp Elite, I not only wanted to be the first to discover new stores and restaurants, and bring them to the attention of the public, but also to uncover those found in hidden paths that for one reason or another have not reached the public in its totality. And Brambleton Imports in Roanoke, Virginia, is the perfect example. After an incident I had with my first salesman there that caused me to loose his trust, I inquired among my friends, community leaders, and business owners, more in depth about their opinion of Brambleton Imports. Every single one of them had a positive opinion and wonderful impression of this car dealership that has been in business for around 30 years and who's founder and owner, Robert "Woody" Woodward, is still involved in its operation. With this excellent background about the business, I decided to return with a retired pilot who was a friend of a good friend of mine, and deal with another sales consultant. For in sales the customer is not owned. He has to be earned all the step of the way. And I am a firm believer of Relationship selling. "Relationship salesmanship, is a sales approach that prioritizes building trust and long-term relationships with customers over simply closing a deal. It involves understanding the customer's needs, offering tailored solutions, and fostering a genuine connection that leads to ongoing partnerships." This second time when we arrived, we found Sales consultant Danny, in his office and went to him. He did an excellent job in listening to both of us, in explaining what they had available at the time, and in taking us for a test drive, first of a Honda Accord and then of the 2022 Lexus ES 350 Luxury Edition, which I ended up purchasing cash, with my 5 years of savings and investing with this goal in mind. After all, I once taught at the university level a very popular course titled: "How to Make Your Money Grow." On the second day, I went to put together the deal. Danny gave me a copy of all the paperwork with the description of the Lexus and one with a photograph of it on top, and a breakdown of the costs and total payment I needed to have the check made. He also gave both my friend and I a Brambleton Imports cap. What is even better, he introduced me to Woody, the owner of the dealership, and wonderful person, who congratulated me for the ownership of my new car, and told me to come by anytime if I needed my car washed. On the third day, Danny understood that it would take some time to gather my high-interest savings and investments, together and transfer the amount to my Credit Union here. As a sign of good intention I wrote a deposit check for $1,000 and handed it to him. Today, we successfully finalized the deal, it was a win/win situation. He not only obtained my business, but what's even more important, my trust and my future referrals. And I received the beautiful Lexus of my dream. His delivery of my Lexus was exceptional. He showed me how some of the basics worked, connected my cellphone Bluetooth with the car, and programmed my home address.

He took a look and told me he could do all 4 but I really only needed 3. It was refreshing to hear him be honest instead of just saying I needed all 4, because I for sure wouldn't have been able to tell!!! Decided on 3 and will come back for 4th. Asked him to also change oil, do an alignment and change an out head light. He asked me when I needed the car by and I asked him if it could be ready the following day? It's been my experience that car work takes a while! He said "Oh no, I mean when do you want it by today?" WHHAATT!? He quoted me a price and I was SO relieved with his quote because I figured it would be AT LEAST double. Also asked him to take a look at a window that was stuck down. He was extremely accommodating and listened to all of my concerns. I went to work and within a few hours he was calling with an updated. The work was almost completed but he had found another issue and told me where I would need to take it to be fixed, as it was a body issue that they did not do there. My car was ready by my lunch break another hour later! When I went to pick it up he showed me the body issue and explained it to a clueless car idiot like me and answered all my questions. I didn't end up getting the window fixed but they went above and beyond by taping it up for me until I do! Kathy then checked me out and explained everything that I was charged for and was so knowledgeable and warm that I just wanted to give her a big hug!! The whole team here, made what was potentially a very stressful and expensive day, easy and rather painless to my wallet! I will return for the window and my other tire soon and will make this my car repair and maintenance home! Thank you sooooo much to the whole team!!!

She had a dead battery but her car sat for 2 months. The battery was newly purchased at Pep Boys in March. Mechanics had no improvising in their bag of tricks. They did get the car started after 20 minutes. At that time, I told them just to back it out and put it in the lot and I would get it towed. I WOULD NEVER refer ANY OF YOU to these "mechanics". Cleatus from Dukes of Hazard would and COULD HAVE figured it out. STAY AWAY if you are smart.

We have since moved out of state and the 2 Firestone locations closest to me at the new address did not offer AC services. Though he could not refund the total cost, Josh was realistic and worked with me and refunded the cost of the parts installed during the repair, which was reasonable in my opinion. Prior to this repair I have always had top not h service and materials from this location. In comparison to my experiences with the Firestone closest to me now - they are head and shoulders above them in every possible way. After I complete my schooling we plan on moving back to the area and when we do - we will continue to have our vehicles serviced at this location. They operate with integrity and always gave me real time advise on things they have observed when inspecting my vehicle and have never given me bad service. I highly recommend them and miss them - the Firestone where I live is horrible. Perhaps they could send a few of their folks to the location here and clean their mess up. Thank you to Josh and all of the skilled and friendly technicians at this location - you set the bar high and I have yet to see anyone come close.
