This is my first time ever visiting an O'Reilly's before…read more... My license plate needed to be changed on one of our cars. I was told by a gentleman up the street to visit O'Reilly's to get a license plate kit to install it. A gentleman approached me in the store who was overall very nice. Asked if I needed anything and I told him I needed a license plate kit. He sure enough told me exactly where they were. They had a rather extensive assortment of kits, custom covers and designs to choose from. I found what I was looking for with no problem. I didn't have any tools with me and I already had the guy at the tire shop remove my old plate which was difficult because of rusted and stripped screws so my car was bare on the back. Obviously driving without a back license plate is risky so I asked the gentleman if he would help me install the kit but he said, "we don't help with these." I was surprised because I've gone to Auto Zone stores and they help me with minor things like that all the time. That is the only reason I couldn't rate 5 stars. Other than that, good accessibility, clean, fully stocked and organized is how I would describe this store.

We discussed the price, warranties, mileage, features, and options on this loaner vehicle in detail. I made it clear that I was coming down to see it and purchase it today. Archie even told me to ask for Mickey, the Sales Manager. When I arrived, Mickey had no idea I was coming--he was not expecting me. Once we sat down, I was told the vehicle was actually loaned out and not even on the lot. Additionally, the vehicle had 6,000-7,000 miles on it, not the 3,000 miles advertised online or confirmed over the phone. They attempted to "make good" with another deal, but it wasn't even close to comparable. This is a textbook example of deceptive marketing and bait-and-switch tactics: lure customers in with an attractive offer, then try to sell them something more expensive. What's worse, the General Manager, who knew I was coming, did not even have the courtesy to speak to me or apologize for wasting my time. Within an hour of speaking over the phone, I came in and they got started on my vehicle quickly. The shop is conveniently located and easy to find. It's definitely no frills, but everyone there was friendly. The shop dogs were an added bonus. I left assured my money went to a local shop that values integrity and honesty. Also, they claimed they don't have cash before noon and they close their registers at 4PM so no refunds after that. Fortunately, after a week I was able to get a refund after I was told it would be a 'first and last' because they don't refund products taken out of their store. I asked, "how would I know it work(s)/fit or is right product?". "That's the risk you take", store personal said. I've never experienced those type of issues with Advance Auto Part, or in O'Reilly Auto Parts. Reason why I went to NAPA is because its two streets down my house, but I know I will never go back to this NAPA again. Also, not enough product options.
