Writing this review for the owner to address a new employee named Adam. Tall, dark hair, goatee and mustache. I come here often and have been for DECADES! Walked in today, April 20th for a tool and to order all the parts for the cooling system for my Chevy. Adam was stocking some items just behind the counter, but didn't see me apparently, nor did he hear the door ring. So I waited until he was done. He didn't come out from the isle until another customer came in and went to help them. I spoke up that I had been waiting first. He asked if I was waiting long and I told him 2 or 3 minutes and he doubted me and said under his breath that "someone has an attitude". I asked he repeat what he said under his breath and said again, "someone has an attitude". He's lucky I didn't throttle him in his throat! Not sure I will continue to shop here. I left the store and said I'd be back when he's not working. He then said he works there every day. Went to Auto Zone just down the street for what I needed this time around. Have a talk with your employee before he gets his attitude put in check. read more

I'm only giving us a one star review because of Juan and employee that works there. Extremely rude isn't helpful and just a bad attitude overall had my family in the car with a check engine light on. I had asked if somebody could plug the scanner in for me and he informed me that he had deliveries to do and then he was just too busy. There was one other person in the store to people behind the counter. Otherwise I could wait a while, which he couldn't give me a time of how long I would have to wait. Bottom line is his attitude was terrible and his customer service was awful. So if you see Juan and he asks do you need help seek out another guy. The rest of them are all super cool. read more

I walked in needing to replace my windshield wipers last Saturday. Ronald was awesome. He made a suggestion of good wipers, didn't try to oversell or put me in something expensive or something I didn't need. He then walked out with me and didn't just install them for me, but actually taught me how to do it myself. I had told him I wanted to learn how to do this, and he was more than happy to teach me, and walk me through the process. Super easy, but had I tried at home, it would have taken a lot longer! I needed a headlight bulb, and as someone who doesn't know much about cars, I was worried they would try to upsell me. The guys at this shop were so nice. They walked me right to the aisle, explained my options and the differences, and walked away. They didn't hover or try to talk me into upgrading. I made my choice and was reassured at checkout that it was a good choice. I believe his name was Juan. He even gave me a few tips for changing the halogen bulb (don't touch the bulb). After my battery ran out of any will to go on, I noticed my serpentine belt was gradually being shredded and had more cracks than a dried up riverbed during an earthquake while drug addicts slept there in tents. I was about to go to autozone but I remembered being young and hopeful for the future and living in another city, where the staff of O'Reilly Auto Parts always filled in the blanks for me and were genuinely pleased to extend their expertise. So I decided to go the extra few miles to the one on Estrella. And boy I can't remember the last time I made such a good decision. Because my car had A LOT of side quests, meaning it's a Scion xB with a powerful engine that I figured was pieced together after an accident. Salvage basically. What I finally came to realize, with Austin's determined investigation of a private source, let's call him ..Doogle, he concluded that it had the engine of a TC! Suddenly it all made sense.. the fact that No part I ever got designated for the xb seemed to be right, no diagram matched, and no instructional video had anything remotely similar to my engine. And low and behold, the alternator I installed had bolts that were too long, preventing perfect belt placement and gradually shaving down the belt and decorating my good below the hood with fine, charcoal like shavings. I had always called my car a Frankenstein, but ya'know what Austin called it? A unicorn! That's truly the optimism of a man that loves his craft and I caught my silver ammo can actually blushing like a strawberry pop-tart. Austin also elected to stay after hours helping me figure it out. This man is a Marine who has to be at 0700 formation the next morning but selflessly ensured that I achieved my necessary maintenance. He's a true gent, a legend. The following day was trying to out this extra long bolt out In the sunny parking lot, trying to keep my frustrated, vulgar commentary to myself and away from the innocent ears of everyday citizens. I received top notch cervix from Romulo and a sub from another location who's name I failed to catch. I'd like to call him McLovin. I wasn't necessarily clueless but I could not have done it without their help. And now I'm going to send this information to every 99c store dish soap dimwit that made fun of me for how long it took me to get my alternator in. I installed this app just to make this review. They are the hometown fishing shop chilli cook off of auto-parts. The polar opposite of the guy at pep-boys how looked like he wanted to puke hot Cheetos all over me for wanting an oil change. They deserve all of the gold stars. All of them. And ya.. I said cervix.. read more

Went there to buy some windshield wipers for my Prius. No one paid me any attention till I asked for help. He said there on aisle 2. Didn't show me what kind I was looking or anything. If you haven't figured it out yet I'm not mechanically inclined. I was trying to figure out how to install them when a young gear head type customer "not an employee" asked me if I needed help! I said gratefully please. Mike got em on in 30 seconds. It was a less than positive experience. So a 1 star they will get. Oh well read more

Great specials that were useful: a two ton jack for 24.99, brake cleaner was 3.99 a can, got two.. Had a behind the seat garbage pouch for under $5.. Got that! Discount on pairs for Bosch Excel wiper blades - $6 off. Also got the rear window wiper... mine was falling apart! Collapsible lug nut wrench to keep in the car for an extra dollar than the bulky standard "+" or "X" shape one... 15.99.. Overall out the door for $100 bucks and will be able to address some good maintenance it's on the PT Cruiser tonight! read more

I was borrowing a friend's car while mine was in the shop. It leaks oil and I was told don't worry until the car tells you it is low. It came on this morning. I went over to O'Reilly's with make, model and mileage and Juan got me the right oil. He also came out to the car and put it in for me. He didn't oversell me on buying an extra quart. I stopped in looking for a Battery. Richard went above and beyond to help me. He checked my battery and helped me put it in. We then determined it wasn't the battery, but the Starter motor. Right away he was on the phone ordering the parts and then let me use some ratchets to install it in the car. The entire time he was extremely positive and went above and beyond with service. It took me a while- and Richard stayed after store hours to check with me to make sure everything was good. Finally he let me wash up in the back. I will tell everyone about this particular location.
