I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised! I was greeted, treated very nice (not like I was an inconvenience, like the other places I'd been). The place to drive my car in was easy to locate with signs and plenty of room to maneuver. Everything was clean and everyone seemed well organized. I was provided all the information I asked for, verbally and in writing, AND they even washed my car for me, before giving it back! All things that were not provided at other Subaru's around the Denver area. This is the kind of treatment I am used to and have come to expect from Subaru; glad I finally found one in the area that provides it. (I was previously in Northern Virginia where all of this is pretty standard). The story: I had an appointment, which I scheduled online, arrived and drove myself in and checked in with Joshua. He was very nice, actually read my online notes on what I wanted, told me it'd be an hour to an hour and a half (I had requested oil change, all fluids checked, and all systems inspection because my service contract was coming to an end soon and I wanted to ensure that no work was needed). We left and went for a walk around the neighborhood, came back about an hour later and sat in the waiting area. The waiting area is nice because it provides snacks and drinks (although I do wish something more interesting was on the TV's). Without having said anything that we were in there, Joshua came in and found me to give me an update on things. He must have seen us come back, which is nice that he was paying attention to that while busy with other customers too. My car did need an alignment which unfortunately took an additional hour (not sure why an alignment takes that long). Afterwards, Joshua came back and brought me out to explain everything. He even gave me an entire analysis write up they did on my car, which I never received from the other places either. Then pointed me to my car, which was brought inside, so I didn't have to wonder around outside looking for it; and it was even washed up for me. Finally, a Subaru that takes care of their customers! I will mention that the only reason I didn't give this a 5 star is because it took over 2 hours to do this work, which in my experience is excessive for someone who made an appointment and didn't just drop it off in the morning to have done anytime during the day. Normally this would be a lot more irritating as a I value my time, but this inconvenience was easy to overlook, given how well I was treated.

The staff were friendly, and we appreciated that their inspection and estimate process was clearly explained. We began using the shop in April 2026, for our Subaru and Dodge for preventative maintenance. Bullet provided estimates for recommended work, and we approved the items we considered necessary while declining others. At the time, we mentioned that the Dodge was making a whooshing noise when the air conditioning was running. We were told that neither vehicle had any major issues. A month later, the Subaru failed an emissions test. The failure was not related to any of the declined items listed in Bullet's estimate. We were advised that the spark plugs were the likely cause, so we authorized that work at a cost of approximately $770. The vehicle AGAIN failed emissions. Bullet performed a complimentary diagnostic but was unable to identify the cause. We were advised to drive the vehicle more before having it retested, which we did, but it still failed. We ultimately replaced a sensor based on information we found independently (which was NOT in any quote they provided), after which the Subaru passed emissions by a significant margin. Around the same time, the Dodge's whooshing noise intensified. Bullet invited us to bring it back for a complimentary diagnostic because it had been recently been inspected. We were told the coolant level was very low and paid approximately $500 for a recharge. We had already added coolant ourselves, but this information did not appear to change their diagnosis of the vehicle. In August 2026, the Dodge AC began blowing hot air. We called Bullet and were told to bring it in, with the understanding that the diagnostic fee would be waived because it was the same issue that we had already been in for on two occasions in the last three months. When the vehicle was dropped off, a technician told us the fee would NOT be waived because it had already been waived once. So we paid for multiple AC recharges and another inspection. We were not happy. We were then told that a component had cracked, and we paid to have it repaired. The following day, we were informed that the hose was also defective and that the labor cost would be substantial. We paid to have the hose replaced as well. The staff were courteous, and we initially hoped Bullet would become our regular repair shop. However, based on our experience, several diagnoses and repairs that did not resolve the underlying problems for not one but two of our vehicles, and we incurred additional costs and repeat visits. It is possible that our vehicles presented unusually difficult issues, but we have ultimately decided to use a different shop for future repairs. Coming here always felt like we were paying for their trial and error approach to fixing things.

However, the best part was that after I left, the mechanic called me to tell me that there was a spot of something left on the ground where the car had been parked while I paid for the service. Sure enough, the coolant was leaking out of the radiator. This was not the fault of Meineke because they were not near that part of the car. When I took it back the next morning, the coolant was almost gone. They gave me a new radiator cap (the old wrong was broke and letting coolant out). I would have been in a bad state had I not been warned before hand what was happening.

The first shop says CV axles (which it was not), the second confirmed bad pinion bearing but was overly confident not to check backlash and preload. Third shop was under experienced with diff repair. At this point I was exhausted, down on my luck, having wasted $500 in inspection costs to no avail, I was about to scrap the chevy seeing my only option was to swap a reman axle for $4k plus labor. Then I called WD. Dave took the time to speak with me extensively about the issue and encouraged me not to scrap the truck but instead remove the guts for his shop to recondition at a fraction of the cost. They started immediately when I arrived with the parts and finished installing a total of 8 bearings and 3 seals in under 2 hours. Remarkable timing. There was an issue with the pinion support bearing being Chinese (which came with the kit and I would have had to install myself in the diff). I brought this to Dave's attention after I got home and he agreed to meet me half way to give me a USA made bearing. He stands behind quality so much as to make a trip. I mean, what shop or mechanic does this? So I get it all bolted on and texted him the gear pattern. We spoke a bunch back and forth, but ultimately he approved the pattern. What do you know, the growling is GONE! David, Lynn, you guys are awesome! It is so difficult to find a reputable mechanic. Your shop stands against the stigma. 10 stars! Seriously.

Was on a cross-country trip from MN to AZ with a full car (family and all) and started hearing that…read moredreaded sound from my the rear differential... fortunately having some automotive knowledge I was suspicious right away of what was going on and managed to limp into Denver and find Dave and Western Drivetrain. We got there at 5AM. They were in the shop by 6:30, were diagnosing my car by 7, had a diagnosis/bid/time estimate to repair by 7:45. They had all the parts in stock. They dropped us off at a local restaurant to wait, picked us back up, and had the car done and we were gone by 11AM. I can't say enough good things about this shop and the team there. Kind, friendly, accommodating, quick, knowledgable and very fair prices. In addition to the great service, Dave also took the time to explain to me exactly what happened, why it failed, provided the pinion bearing that was the culprit, and wrote up a great summary of the issue. I was able to take that back to the team that had rebuilt the rear end just a year before and have a very honest, straightforward, simple discussion that resulted in a very satisfactory outcome that both me and the original shop were both satisfied with without and disagreement or debate. My hope is that I do not have to see them again (it would mean that I had another differential problem on a cross-country trip), but if I did, I don't think I would go anyplace else in Denver for this type of work. I was already upset that they didn't do everything I asked in a span of 3 hours I waited. considering I scheduled an appointment 2 days prior. 2 weeks go by and my car is squeaky and it's bad, even worse as I reverse so I find a local mechanic. I couldn't deal with the noise for 1 day. Thankfully, this guy knows what he is actually looking at!! First thing my mechanic told me was my tire was SHAKING.... mind you I am a single mother, I drive my car with MY 3 YEAR OLD. That is DANGEROUS. Have I waited, it could've ended up FATAL. Second thing is I have to get my car REALIGNED due to Les Schwab not doing their job right the first time. I spent about $200 for a job they couldn't even do.
