After making me sit for an hour and a half they quoted me $2,000 in fixes and DIDNT ROTATE OR ALIGN MY TIRES. The mechanic was watching my disappointment with a SMILE on in the other room. Go elsewhere if you value your time. I had an appointment for 2 pm Sunday for tires and alignment. Dropped the car off early so they could work on it as they had free time. After no call by 4:30 (closing by 5) and no answer to their telephone, I stopped at the shop. I was told they wouldn't get to it that day because of scheduled appointments. Um guys...do you know what a reservation is? They did end up finishing by 6 pm, but the GM never returned my call after leaving a message with him. I took my car in for a fix with my AC. I had it checked out by breaks plus first so what they quoted me was in line. I also asked them to look at one tire because it was barely making noise. They told me I needed all 4 of my breaks and rotors replaced. I drive a suburban. It would have been a total of $1500. (Over $3k with the a/c fix) I decided to have a different mechanic check it out because it was driving fine and I could barely hear the noise. They 100% were trying to scam me. 2 of my break pads didn't even need to be replaced. And none of the rotors needed replaced. We used to only use them and trusted them. I AM PISSED, this place absolutely wrecked my cousins jeep. The manager is absolutely no help and doesn't want to fix the MISTAKES they made. Scratching up interior panels, breaking parts and not fixing them. Hole in the firewall. And the heater core that they replaced is still leaking and no difference than the older one they replaced. CAUTION: SCAM. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. If anyone can put me in touch with the owner of Firestone off Huron, I'd appreciate it. They have some unethical employees that are scamming people. It happened to one of our employees about 2 months ago and to us today. We only needed a tire patched. Were told we had to replace all 4 tires. The tires seemed fine but they were convincing. We were quoted a price that seemed very high, but given a song and dance and finally agreed to the price. Returned NINE hours later and the price was hundreds of dollars higher. One of the charges was for "rotating tires" ON A SET OF BRAND NEW TIRES. It wasn't until then we started talking about it at work and realized that these were the same clowns that had defrauded our employee in the same way. Then we started reading the plethora of 1 star reviews -- so many people being scammed. I called to speak to the owner as a courtesy before leaving a negative review, contacting the BBB, and contacting the state AG. I was unfortunately told they don't just let people talk to the owner. That's unfortunate for the owner. We'll file the necessary complaints and reach the owner through the BBB and the state to let them know how their shop is being run and how people are being conned. read more

This review is solely on the location at 136th and Huron. I myself feel I have a good relationship with Chris mainly but have interacted with Joel also. My wife will not take her car anywhere else! We have uses other Firestone's for work or repairs but also returned to this location because they always get it right and have even fixed another locations failed part issue. But just to give you the latest example of looking out for the customer, I was informed that getting new tires for my wife's car would be good idea before snowfall became an issue and was given a quote of just over $800. Fair enough, having the relationship I have with Chris gave him a call about a month later and told him I should probably pull the trigger on those tires since we were already in November and snow will be coming soon, and asked him to re-evaluate the tire prices as I wasn't to familiar with the newer associate that gave me the previous quote, he advised me if I could wait a couple more weeks the Black Friday sale would be coming and would drop the price around $200 and that's what I'm talking about when it comes to customer service.! So needless to say I will always trust these guys with my vehicle and they will not try to fix something that is over and above their skill set . They may be able to diagnose it but they won't try to fix it if they don't have the means to. So on the end I would definitely recommend this particular location and ask for Chris, or Joel if he isn't around. read more

I brought in a tire that had a nail in it. Asked if they could fix it. They said sure, in 1-2 days. I asked if they were kidding and I was told no they were not kidding, it would be 1-2 days before they could get to me. Now I'm thinking 1-2 days to fix a flat tire? Come on folks! I've been going to Firestone for over 20 years with great service but they are going downhill quickly. I started going to the location at 136th and Huron because the Manager Joel from 120th moved over there. Since then he has left the business and the customer service at this location left with him. The new manager a young lady named Abbi is awful! She is argumentative, rude and spends most of her time flirting and laughing with the male technicians. I had made an online appointment to purchase new snow tires. When I arrived, Abbi was sitting inside the bay area with the guys and I waited at least 10 minutes before she acknowledged me. I told her I had an appointment and she stated that I did NOT. I showed her the confirmation on my phone and she said "you don't have an appointment unless you get an appointment confirmation, not just an online confirmation"!?!? What does that mean? Anyway, I was sent away and I made another appointment for the next weekend. I called mid week to ensure I REALLY had an appointment and confirmed that they had the tires I ordered in stock. I was told I DID have an appointment and the tires would be in stock and ready to be put on. I arrived on Saturday 11/12 at 10am for my appointment and left my car for a simple tire change. I returned at 3pm and they had not even started working on my car. Abbi told me that they did not have the tires in stock. I asked "what's the point of making an appointment and confirming?" She said "well, we really don't take appointments....we just work on cars when we can!?! WHAT??? I can't believe this woman is the Manager. We got into an argument and she was VERY rude and unprofessional. I told her that if she would have given me a reasonable expectation of timing for services I would have been more understanding. Apparently Firestone lets you make an appointment online to get your business but the location decides whether you get service in a timely manner or not. At Abbi's shop you do not! She is on her own agenda. I sat for 2.5 more hours waiting for my car to have snow tires put on from an appointment at 10am. As I sat there, I watched her and many of the male technicians laughing, having fun, flirting etc. while no one was getting any work done. She told me they were short staffed but three of them were sitting at the counter in the bay area doing nothing. As well, another customer came in thinking he was going to pick up his car and they told him "they lost the paperwork" and sent him away. Waiting 7.5 hours for a simple tire purchase is ridiculous!!! Abbi obviously told her "boys" that I was irritated and when the guy went to ring me up for over $1,000 he was rude and indifferent. I had told him I wanted to make sure I got my all season tires back before I left. She came back and asked "which tires were yours?" SERIOUSLY? I said "I don't know, you just took them off my car!!!" She said "just pull up to the first bay and we will find your tires and put them in your car." When I walked out, the guy that charged me said loudly and sarcastically, "Have a nice day!" The whole team at this location is rude, don't care about customers, and the company is putting up with it. Don't go to Firestone....ESPECIALLY the location at 136th and Huron! read more

I set up an appointment on the Firestone APP. I choose a date and time that was open at this location 2 weeks out. I received a call from this store that same day. They told me that my time was good. Three days before my appointment, I received 2 emails about my scheduled appointment. One has the correct time and one is 3 hours later. I called the store. They told me that another appointment had taken my stop and to come in 1.5 hours later than my original appointment time. Whatever! The date came and I showed up at the newly requested time and was told that an Oil change, tire rotation, air filter and cabin filter change would take 3 hours. I told them I wanted to use the multiple coupons advertised on the website. The said no problem. The place only had 2 cars in the garage out of 6 bays. I left me car and waited for the call. 3.5 hours later. I get a call to say that my car will be ready in 30 minutes. I could head back in to pick it up. When I asked about cost breakdown, they said they would email it to me. I get home to open the attached receipt and see that they charged me $75 for a $22 cabin filter and a $21 labor fee to install it. I was beyond shocked. My multiple Firestone coupons? They only honored one for the oil change. They do not post or share pricing information publicly. They need to be transparent about their prices for services. They recommend services that are not needed. I do not recommend Firestone. read more

STAY AWAY!! MANAGEMENT HAS CHANGED!! I have been taking our six vehicles to this location for over 10 years. The manager, Joel, was a great man and was great at customer service. He truly aimed to please. Joel has since retired and the service and quality of work have plummeted. Firestone had installed new brakes on my F350 roughly six months ago. They immediately were squeaky and Joel asked if I would use them for 5k miles and then bring the truck back if they squeak continued. I just dropped it off and was appalled by the new manager. He said the brakes are not his problem and if I want new ones he would install them. I explained to him what Joel had told me and his response was "I am not Joel and it isn't my problem". Wow. Amazing customer service. To make matters worse, I was dropping off my work truck and picking up my F350. He told me he would not take my F150 until my service appointment tomorrow morning. I explained to him that logistically that was a nightmare. He told me they were having issues with catalytic converter thefts which I understand. I said that I would assume the liability and he still said he would not take my keys. There were 30-40 cars in the parking lot and I pointed this out. He was very rude and said he didn't care. He was not taking my truck and I would have to find a way to drop it off the next morning. As I left, and I admit I was hot, I said the place has gone downhill since Joel left. He screamed at me on my way out that I was no longer welcome and they would not service my vehicles any longer. Buddy, I am ok with that comment based on how Firestone has lost concern for the customer. FYI my daughter has had major issues with Firestone in Texas as well. I understand it is hard to find quality people these days but it is not hard to take care of your customers. read more

The special thing they did is to fill the air pressure all around to exact manual specs and that pleased my husband because it's usually done but to 36 instead of 33 cold. Alrighty! Well done! They replaced my brakes and rotors and now not even a year I'm at another auto shop to see what's wrong and they warped my rotors and fluid is leaking so need a whole new replacements of brake pads etc. called them and she says they'll give me a pro rated price. And ontop of my lifetime Warrenty for alignment seems like it never gets really adjusted and my car still steers to the right. Take your car to an actual car place that knows what they're doing. They do fine work if you need your oil changed or tires replaced but don't expect good work for more complex mechanical needs. I had a misfiring cylinder and they replaced 2 parts, neither of which fixed the issue. Finally took the vehicle to a real mechanic who took the time to figure out what was really wrong and fixed it. They also found some of the work done by Firestone which was incorrect and fixed that too read more

My daughter took her car for a slow tire leak, they said all 4 tires were at 0/32 on wear bars, untrue, and said they could not fix the leak because it was unsafe on those tire, but they obviously had pulled something from the tire because it went completely flat overnight. I don't trust any mechanics. So, I asked to show me the problem on my vehicle and they kindly did, they offered me safety glasses and actually took me under my car to see the actual problem and explained how motor mounts worked. I couldn't believe , at first, how important motor mounts were, but when I picked up my car it felt brand new again. Fairly priced too!! Another mechanic suggested a catalytic converter at 2,875 and I felt doomed. I will surely take my car to the Huron location since they did such a great job on communication and my vehicle. I brought my car in to repair a slow leak in a back tire. They advised me to leave the car and when they called me, told me they couldn't repair the back tire because it was so old and recommended I replace all 4 tires and replace a worn tire rod as well. Since I had just replaced the two back tires a year earlier I didn't trust anything else they had to say and brought my car to another local tire place who repaired the back tire in 15 minutes and for a minimal fee. I can't really review the work because I never got that far. I stopped in because I had a wiper blade issue, hoping for an easy fix. I am a hospice nurse, worked a shift, then stopped in and was given a less than warm greeting from a man who said "not awake yet?" When I hesitated when answering a question for him. First of all, the car is new to me. Second of all, I had other things on my mind. And lastly, regardless, don't ever speak to me as if I am stupid if you want my business. I left here, went a couple of miles away, and received much better customer service elsewhere(see my review for Christian Bros). I was in the shop (May 2020) to have a new set of (4) wheels (purchased from a third party) swapped out on my BMW. I was concerned about possible damage on the hub assembly, as some of the lug nuts had been VERY over-torqued by the previous owner. Sure enough, once my tech (Coltan) began to remove the lug nuts this was verified. some of the nuts were on so tight the impact couldn't loosen them up. Coltan was able to remove them with a very long wrench and some muscle. The over-torqued lug nuts had been rendered useless, and 3 of the 4 hub assemblies had been damaged from the lugnuts. New bolts could not be screwed-in without forcing them with an impact, and further damaging the assembly. After speaking with the GM and the shop manager (Allen), they informed me they would try and track down the special tap needed to re-thread the hub assembly. Being its was an uncommon tap (cus of course it is BMW) this took many phone calls. They did eventually find the proper tap and were able to save the assembly, which was fantastic as this is a $600 part from BMW, each. They eventually got the wheels on and the car looked great. They never once tried to give me an up-charge or extort me for more money than the standard price, as the Tire Discounters 2 buildings over tried to do. TD started at free, and were at $320 before one wheel had been completed. I can not recommend this Firestone highly enough. The team I dealt with was VERY knowledgeable, helpful and caring; an almost extinct combo in the automotive repair industry. Most shops are out to extort as much money as possible from you while never attempting to finish the job for the quoted price. Whether you have a Honda, Ford, or a BMW ( and everything in between) this is undoubtedly the place to take your car for any wheel, tire, or minor repairs needed. Save your time and energy, skip the many phone calls to every shop in the area (as I did), and book your appointment at this Firestone. read more
