This is like a puppy mill of dentistry, This is not the first experience I've had with this type of aggressive dental group they seem to go for multiple procedures creating a "plan" of things that may or may not be absolutely necessary. Personally I like to be asked first and then shown why a procedure is necessary. They billed me for my deductible in advance for a plan I didn't begin. All in all my mistake for not asking more questions. Trying to get my 50 dollars back is turning into a major struggle. read more

Horrible! I took the day off for appointment and when I arrived I was informed I could not be a patient because of "missed" appointment at Siler City location (I did not realize they were the same outfit). When I explained that the missed appointment was due to an emergency that I informed the at the time, they said there were no notes. I asked to speak to management but was told they just went into a meeting and would call me. When I did not hear back I called again and was told they just stepped out and would call later. That never happened. That day I was denied the appointment there was another client who was also turned away because they claimed she didn't confirm appointment that she said she did. This is a very sleazy business and I would recommend anyone considering getting treatment there go to a reputable establishment instead. read more

Please beware: It is my recommendation that you "Do not, under any circumstances, patronize this practice" in Durham, NC. They will kill you with kindness to get you through the door.) I posted a favorable review back in October 2023). Once an established patient, they treat you like dirt. Their billing practices are improper. I am due a refund (error on their end) and it has been over six months -- nothing...finally was told I had to complete a refund request, which I did in May 2024. It is mid-July 2024 -- still nothing, and they are ignoring my calls. I call and they place me on hold for as long as I can hold (30-40 minutes), I finally give up and hang up. How can you ignore a patient when they are paying for a monthly dental plan? All the unfavorable comments posted sound very accurate. About a year ago, I needed a broken tooth fixed again because the fake portion of it broke off. I went to O2 and they told me I needed a crown for it- then they said I needed a second. Having Crowns done at O2 was more painful than when I tore my calf and achilles tendon. I returned after a few weeks to have the crowns looked at (especially the lower of the two) because the chronic pain I was experiencing was derailing my life. They told me they could fix the pain by doing a root canal.... But this is after they charged me about 1700% more than they quoted for the crowns. I had dental insurance, but they were very shady about what my out-of-pocket cost would be. They also left part of my face numb for 8-10 months, which was later diagnosed as nerve damage by my doctor. The feeling has since returned but I still have pockmarks in my gums from their repeated attempts to numb the nerves of my teeth. Go anywhere else. I cannot express enough about how amazing this entire office is! Dr. Hart is so great with patients with dental anxiety. She takes care of both me and my mom and we are both very pleased with how patient and kind she is. The entire staff is amazing, they remember details about my personal life, take the time to calm my nerves. I also think it's a bonus that you're able to watch TV while getting dental work done. I love this practice so much and I'm slightly less nervous about having to go to the dentist. 10/10 would recommend. read more

I am so sorry to have to write this review. I do not have dental insurance, and was so excited to find a relatively low-cost dentist that made adjustments for those without insurance. I initially came here because I had permanent retainer on my bottom teeth that broke. They offered to fix it, and to also put in a top retainer (how great to not have to use a removable retained)!! However, they totally messed it up. Both required several repairs, and my teeth have moved significantly despite having the retainers on. I recently moved away from Durham and got dental health insurance, and just saw a new dentist. He told me that the retainers were incorrectly placed and "looked like someone was practicing on me." I also told him that I had a cleaning in Durham 4 months ago, and he was appalled because my teeth had several plaques and I need to undergo local anesthesia for a deep cleaning!!! I paid that place so much money out of pocket, and am now having to go through several stages of care to repair what they have done to my teeth. read more

Awful place, save your time and teeth and go somewhere else. I had to pay for two crowns here that they messed up after telling them multiple times that it was fitting correctly, come to find out it wasn't seated right and I had to get more work under the tooth done and then pay for a new crown. During that I get Laughing gas I was at this office three times two of the times they let my boyfriend come back with me since I'm scared of the dentist, on the third visit thought it was a different dentist and she stated he could not be in the room with me for the risk of him inhaling the gas as well?? On top of that they told me I needed about 9 fill ins and I would have to put a deposit down to schedule which I did. After thinking about it I went to another dentist to get a second opinion. Come to find out I only needed one fill in and they just wanted more money out of me. Took months to get the deposit I left down. They seemed nice while I was there but just now I know they just wanted to charge me money for unnecessary treatment's and then not give me my money back. read more

This place is awesome. I had a dental emergency on Sunday and was able to get in Monday morning at 8am. Ended up having to have an abscessed tooth pulled they were kind, efficient and understanding. The cost was reasonable under the circumstances but they do offer ways to pay over time with financing services. If I had gone there in the beginning I might have been able to saved the tooth. As is they not only pulled the tooth but gave me the cost of what it would be to put an implant in if I choose. Don't hesitate to go there. Yes it is costly but no more than other places and they are beyond professional. In another review they mentioned not using a lead apron the reason is they do very targeted ex rays that do not use the same technology as others. It's different with different equipment. read more

How difficult is it to glue on a crown? Not at all for a dentist. However, this group insisted on taking X-rays and a full exam but could NOT guarantee that they would be able to do the work. Scam .. they give dentistry a bad name. Avoid this unless you have cash to burn. read more

Nice facility and pleasant staff, but questionable billing. I joined the practice specifically because they were in-network with my insurance. Between visits they dropped out of my insurance network and charged more than covered. This was a surprise billing. It basically means you have no idea what you will have to pay until the bill comes. They said they sent an email about dropping out of network. I did not see it. They said there's a notice posted at check-in, but there are a lot of things on the wall at check-in. It's unreasonable to expect a patient to survey every visible display every time. They should have mentioned it during check-in after they changed the parameters of our agreement. I went to this dentist for a consult about an extraction of a tooth using nitrous and numbing. My current dentist doesn't use nitrous. Even though I provided a two week old panoramic x-ray they insisted on making me prepay for bitewings. I was surprised when they did another panoramic x-ray. I was more surprised when they did NOT put a lead apron on me. When they gave me a treatment plan it was not accurate according to my insurance company. I did not sign it or agree to it. They are meticulous about making sure that you understand anything from a routine examination to major procedures. I felt more at ease and confident with Dr. Hart than any other dentist I've ever seen. She is not only a great dentist, but also a great lady! All the staff went out of their way to make sure my visit and my procedure was a great and comfortable one. Dr. Hart returned my call for the question I had on my procedure as soon as she had a chance and went out of her way to assist me.
