Our Captain Kareem, crew Lucy and Joe were fantastic. We got to a good spot and there were SO many fish everywhere! We also got to see many sea turtles that literally swam up right next to you. Lucy and Joe were always pointing out where the turtles are just in case people missed them. After about and hour of swimming they called us on the boat. We thought we were done but we were surprised with a pod of dolphins! There were so many swimming by the catermeran, jumping, and doing tricks! This is our second time snorkeling with this group. Last year, our first time was amazing. This time, we can NOT recommend them. Sure turtles are guarantee, along with the other 150 people there with you. Literally, 5 other boats, all with people scrambling to see the STRESSED OUT, ABUSED sea turtles. They don't even remind guests that ONLY mineral based sunscreens are acceptable. " In Hawaii, all sea turtles are protected under both state and federal law, and it is illegal to touch, feed, or disturb them. Harassing them can result in significant fines of up to $100,000 and even jail time. You should keep a respectful distance of at least 10 feet (3 meters) from turtles on land and in the water to avoid causing them stress or harm." Captain Crash LITERALLY claimed you only had to stay 3 feet away. I even reconfirmed because I knew the law from previous snorkeling trips. One mom even told her son "Go ahead, touch him" because there was literally zero respect, not only from our tour guides , but all the catamarans in the area. Moreover, Captain Crash was miserable. Serious about safety...all for it and appreciate it. But he is miserable, barely acknowledges you when you turn in you equipment to him, AS HE ASKS YOU TO DO, not even a grunt. Anna is far too busy talking it up with all the other "guards" from other boats, only to be bothered every so often to interact. We couldn't go out of a very small zone...safety, sure, all good. So then Anna and Lucy shouldn't be swimming "out of the zone" to catch up with buddies on other catamarans. Nor should they be laughing it up, making plans, and ignoring their paying customers. If the "are service industry and work for tips" then give me reasons to tip you. Anna points out a turtle here and there, but doesn't check to see if any of the group is following. And last year she was amazing and far more engaged. Talking with our bench mates, we weren't the only ones left unimpressed and frustrated with the lack of engagement and professionalism. If you care about animals, or care about our oceans, or don't want to get shoved and kicked and pushed by 100s of others all trying to see a turtle, AVOID THIS TOUR. Garbage. read more

LOVED this experience!!!!! All staff on board from the instructors and captain were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. They were very knowledgeable and thorough about safety concerns and I felt safe in their care the entire time. The instructors stayed in the water with us the entire duration and gave us facts about the ocean and sea turtles and answered any questions we had while swimming. They were funny too! Snacks and beverages were also offered and there was a restroom on board if needed. We saw many sea turtles and other wildlife and the entire experience was truly unforgettable! If I could give them 10 stars I would. Every single person on this crew was amazing. It was so great not to be on one of the packed boats that we saw during our trip. This company intentionally only takes half as many people that can fit on the boat. The captain was awesome about explaining all the important information. They even stopped on the way back to show us some whales in the area. I took 2 8 year olds and ended up over my head and the crew could not have been more gracious even when 2 of us got sea sick. Located at Kakaako, pretty convenience location, there are pay parking stalls in the area. I did the sunset cruise to test out my motion sickness watch that I recently purchased. The ocean was pretty calm, the crew took us out, sail towards Waikiki and back. In the mid way point, they feed the fish so the tourists can take photos. The crews are friendly, from what I was told, they do two cruises per day, the morning cruise is for diving and you got to see the turtles, the evening cruises are sailing around to look at the sunset, nothing much. At time, I feel like they are sailing very slow trying to kill time waiting for the sunset. It is what it is. They have some drinks, food, cookies, cheese, etc. nothing heavy. It was a pretty relaxing experience. Since I live in Oahu for 35 years, I am not as exciting as most tourists, but still a nice experience. They offer me a discount for being local. Booked snorkeling last minute with my brother and the experience was PERFECT! Today we had the pleasure of meeting Crash the captain and his helpers Ana and Joe. Crash is hilarious and gets straight to the point. He also had his 2 beautiful dogs that joined us today, they are too adorable and super friendly! The ride was smooth and beautiful. You have somewhere to put your things and are accessible anytime you need anything. There are bathrooms in the back one for girls and other for boys. After heading out, Ana and Joe are just wonderful and patient with anyone needing help. They are very clear on instructions and stick with you in the water to help out at ANY time. They also help and call out turtles so you are sure to see some turtles while snorkeling. Crash also calls out turtles while he sits at the top of the boat. You are guaranteed to see some! You can go on and off the boat as you please while snorkeling or if you need a moment to rest. They provide yummy snacks and drinks along with water. This tour was a highlight of our trip. The boat is in ship shape. A new deck, clean, perfect. The staff is professional and qualified. The sights you'll see are memorable. When we were on the island we saw several boats that didn't compare. Captain "Crash" has been conducting these types of cruises for decades. Did the ubiquitous Turtle Canyon 2 hour snorkel tour with them recently. I think we've been to Turtle Canyon about five times now on various boats. The turtles see us now and give us a head nod. Captain Krash is a cool dude and deckhand JJ was solid. But, what made the trip cool was the boat dog - Sushi. Quite a character. Anyway, good outfit. Smaller catamaran, but that meant fewer people. Which was great. We had about 20 peeps on our trip which is about half what you'd get on other boats. Did not feel crowded. You motor out, snorkel for about 1.5 hours and come back. You will see lots of fish and some turtles. Little murky when we went. They provide the gear, but you're free to bring your own. Floatie required at least for the first ten minutes, or until Capt. Krash deems you a good swimmer. They provide sodas, water and snacks after the swim. One thing that was kinda of a head tilter - to attract fish to the boat, Capt. Krash threw some cheese and salami slices overboard. Hey, I am def not a PETA, fur is murder, save the llamas type of cat, but tossing charcuterie to the reef fishes was a bit of a head scratcher. Give yourself ample time to make your boat trip time as parking can be challenging. Anyway, I would say overall, this experience was solid but a step below (not much) from some of the other boats we've tried. read more

I think the only recommendation I would make is that there wasn't a sign for the company or the boat when we arrived (there is a pic on this page that does show a flag/sign for the boat, but I can't recall seeing such signage on the day of our excursion). I had to ask one of the local shops and we just barely made it in time for departure. Other than that, the crew was very friendly and attentive and entertaining. read more
