Well organized, got text confirming reservation well ahead of it with link to directions and time of arrival. Once at the pier was greeted by Captain Crush who checked the reservation and collected footwear prior to boarding the catamaran. On board the catamaran were greeted by Anna and Carlos who introduced themselves Cptn Crush, and the rest of the crew the two lovely dogs. We were given the fins and snorkeling gear for those who needed it as you can use your own. We were briefed in the use of the equipment including the buoyancy vests later Carlos and Anna gave clear instructions on how to avoid interacting with protected wildlife like the green turtle and just see them while keeping a safe distance. Finally we entered the water and snorkeled chased by fish and saw 2 turtles on the bottom of the cleaning station one of those later surfaced and we could swam around. At the end of the tour our captain spotted dolphins and navigated close to the pod for a closer look. Overall the tour was worth it as a last minute addition to my schedule but I will recommend it to anyone interested in snorkeling the clear warm waters of Oahu and coming across their precious marine life. read more

The overall experience was just ok. It was 40 minutes of swimming around to see a handful of turtles. What really turned me off was the operator let a dog on board the ship to roam around at his leisure. Not only that but the dog grabbed part of my sandwich and was relentless in his bugging us. Believe me I like dogs but not on a excursion where there are 25 people on board a small boat. I talked to the captain (Kareem) and his only comment was a grunt like he could care less of my bringing it to their attention. Very very poor response. We went on both a sunset cruise and a turtle snorkeling cruise and were delighted with both. Oahu Catamaran takes fewer people so it is much more personalized. The sunset cruise had plenty of appetizers and it was BYOB and not rowdy. It was a beautiful evening and a great way to enjoy a gorgeous sunset. Carlos, the captain, and Shannon were very helpful, taking photos for us. On the turtle snorkel, Anna was added to the crew. We saw lots of turtles and fish. Plenty of time in the water to snorkel and Anna and Shannon were both in the water to make sure everyone stayed safe. We set sail for a leisurely return with snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Great experience, family-owned. Saw lots of turtles and SO many fish out on in the water with this trip (went this weekend, June 1). Good hands-on experience for solid swimmers, with safety measures for less-strong swimmers. Went with my family including my 9-year-old niece who is an experienced snorkeler; we all felt welcomed. We went in the morning (10 am), which I recommend, as it's less busy than in the afternoon, and the sun is less severe. I am pale-skinned and prone to burning, so I slathered on my reef-safe sunblock before arriving and used more of my supply during the ride out. When snorkeling I wore a long-sleeved cotton shirt over my swimsuit and short-sleeve rash guard; also wore a big sturdy surfing straw hat when not in the water (with neck cord to keep it securely on my head), and sunglasses. Result was no sunburn: yay! Next time I'll bring my prescription lens mask (If you want to rent one, do so separately elsewhere; my friend and I both have relatively strong glasses prescriptions (-4 to -5) and we both felt comfortable with regular masks this trip! That speaks to how many fish we saw up close, and how many turtles there were!) I feel really good about supporting this local small business, putting my money into Hawaiian commerce providing fulfilling experiences like this one. The staff share good fish knowledge (including which fish are invasive species), they know the sweet spots for seeing our fish and turtle friends, they exemplify safety on the boat and in the water, and I love that they keep their tour groups 50% or smaller of the legal allowances. read more

Captain Krash and the crew made the entire scuba experience safe, enjoyable, and memorable. You WILL see a turtle down there thanks to their awesome turtle-finding dog Sushi who can somehow sniff them from the deck of the boat. All gear was provided, including extra floatation devices which we appreciated since we're ok swimmers, but maybe not for an entire hour. The morning of our snorkeling adventure, Kaptain Krash called to confirm our reservations. He kindly gave us directions to the pier. It was easy to find, and parking wasn't too difficult. Our snorkeling experience with Krash and Jordan was amazing! They were very helpful and informative on the equipment and what to expect out in the water. My kids (10yo and 14yo) had no issues with the equipment at all. We saw plenty of turtles, and Jordan was kind enough to take our GoPro and get footage of turtles deep under the water for us. We had a blast and will remember this forever! We had such a great time that we returned the next night for the sunset cruise. We even saw a rainbow! (The only one we saw that week!) My wife and I loved the sunset cruise we took with Captain Krash and Oahu Catamarans! Highly recommend the sunset cruise as well as any other tours they run, like the snorkeling, as Krash and his helpers (including Sushi, the dog on board) made our experience wonderful! Captain Krash called us earlier in the day of our cruise to confirm we were coming and to recommend bringing a coat as it can get a bit cold in the evening. It was a great suggestion, and I recommend bringing a coat or jacket for sure if you're going out for the sunset. The crew was funny, helpful, and super knowledgeable. It made the entire experience so wonderful and we got to see some turtles, beautiful views of Diamond Head, great sunset pics, and great vacation memories overall. Snorkeling equipment was provided and sanitized before being handed over to us for use. We saw some playful dolphins on our way to the dive site, which was rare during this time/season, a lot of fish and a very ginormous turtle. Unfortunately, since we went during peak summer, there were a ton of snorkelers from different tour companies and the dive site was crowded. My son purchased a Groupon for my birthday to enjoy snorkeling with the turtles which I thought was a pretty cool opportunity. We had issues finding the boat despite having an address. The address in the GPS took us two blocks away so we stopped to ask for directions. I'm not sure why they can't put up a sign like other vendors in the area. There was free parking available right in front of the boat and we were fortunate enough to find an empty spot. We checked in and they couldn't find my wife's reservation to where she had to pull up her email and show the confirmation. We had to reschedule from a weekend two weeks earlier since she pulled a ligament in her foot. Either way, they should have accounted for the reschedule given their email notification to her. They have a dry area in the back of the boat with seats and table they use to store bags and items you don't want to get wet. It's also the area to sit if you're feeling sea sick which I did notice was popular at the end of the event. We received an extensive safety and info brief prior to departure and then rode about 15 minutes to the cleaning spot as they call it. The turtles frequent this area because the fish clean them. They tie into existing anchors at this location with other boats and everyone snorkels with 1-2 reps providing safety overwatch while pointing out turtles and other life. Life jackets are provided to help with floating, or you can go without. Snorkel gear is provided and is said to be sanitized. No issues. We were anchored for a good hour to where everyone had their fill of snorkeling, turtles, fish, etc. I noticed after awhile of floating in the water that I started to feel sick so went back to the boat and sat in the back with others until it was time to leave. We saw at least three turtles on the bottom of the ocean, maybe 30 feet down, who would rise to the surface for air occasionally. You can dive down for a closer look or just view them from the top. The water was clear and the ocean bottom a sandy area with some areas of coral. The fish were small and colorful although only a few different types of fish which weren't all that impressive after five minutes. Water in a cooler was available during the event, followed by bottled water, soda, and snacks on the return home. Male and female bathrooms are available on the boat. Overall an enjoyable event for the family despite two of the four of us not feeling well, along with some others. Maybe less time floating on the water next time, or taking a break would help with the sea sickness? read more
