We got the last table of 6 upstairs. Watched the sunset as we sipped and nibbled sharing laughs with new friends. The hostess had the mostess. Our waiter, Ben was on top of it. He just made it happen. So refreshing to experience. The food was great. One thing that I haven't read on Yelp is there is a Happy Hour Mon-Fri, 2-6pm. And it is a great savings and allowed us to taste new flavors. Join their rewards program with the app and get pints to use for food and goodies. Don't order a cocktail. Drink the beer. A cocktail is one price but if you want ICE it's an (undisclosed) upcharge of additional $2 per drink. In the Florida heat, this policy seems ridiculous. Last weekend was close to a 3 star, but this weekend, brought the family in for brunch and Oak and Stone was a HUGE disappointment. Sure it's busy, it's Wellen Park, lots of families and kids and it's okay to wait an hour for a table. We walked around in the sunshine and let our appetites deepen. I mean last week, the Asian Zest Wings were the bomb diggity! This week, however, the hostess seated us inside RIGHT next to the beer wall. With two kids at the table, this was drunken energy too close for comfort. I'm talking about the 20 something dude putting his MOUTH under the beer spigot versus using a glass!! And his table of gal and guy friends laughing like this was the funniest thing ever. We sat and waved away flies and gnats and drunk people leaning into our chairs while they waited at the beer wall for about 12 minutes. No greeting, no water, no server. I know, I know, servers are VERY tough to find right now. But all I am saying is that if you make us wait an hour, then you should have the staff. If you DON'T have the staff, then don't seat a party of 6! After that whole mouth incident, we had to leave. And thank goodness we found V&Co just across the pavement. Walked right in, sat down and had a brew in my hand in less than 5 minutes. Servers, smiles and sans gross people right across the street! Avoid Oak and Stone - maybe not forever but definitely right now. Oh, and while you're waiting an hour for your table, Rando people walk into the seating area outside with their dogs and plop their butts into any open chair they choose. We have eaten here a few times. As a matter of fact, sitting at the upstairs bar every time. The food was mediocre. We got the spicy cauliflower, which was the best item we had. Their cheese steak egg rolls w/ beer cheese was awful. We ordered the meatball & some thing pizza. It was just ok. My soda was flat & when I mentioned it to him, he shrugged & I ordered a smoked old fashion instead. We were charged for both. The beer wall was ok. Missing wheats & Belgium ales. Had lunch at Oak and Stone on 1/7/25. I ordered the lunch special, which was salad and a cheese pizza. The pizza was terrible! No taste to the pizza and very little cheese on it. Won't be going back there. read more

So many negatives. We went during happy hour, but what they don't tell you before you order is that the happy hour prices only apply to people who have the phone app. When you say okay I'll sign up for the app now you will get told that you still have to pay full price for the previously ordered items, but anything after that will be happy hour prices. One member of our party had signed up to be loyalty member well before this place even opened, but apparently it doesn't matter because you HAVE to have the app. The food was so bland, stale and had obviously been sitting under the warmer for way longer than it should have. Extremely overpriced as well. We got three apps, one cocktail and ~$4 worth of beer and it was almost $50. They have a beer wall. Cool, but we were told there is no beer list so you have to get up to just look at the options. There are also TWO beer walls - one upstairs and one downstairs, which makes this even harder for those who can't easily maneuver around. We felt very rushed out as the waitress started taking all of our plates, even those with food still on them. We had only been there for about 45 minutes at this point and about 10 minutes of those was us waiting to even meet our waitress. Will not be back and absolutely do not recommend. read more

Four of us were there a few wks ago for the first time. I went thru the wait list on line which indicated 30 to 45 min wait which was fine because we had at least a 30 min drive. I was notified about 20 mins that the table was reading. Tried calling but no answer. Upon our arrival they did seat us even though there were people waiting. (Sorry someone else had a different experience with the wait list) Food: fried pickle flavor was good. However if you slice it open the "pickle" is just the skin. Very disappointing. I don't want skin, definitely not for the price. Description is misleading. Three pizzas: all excellent. 1)Pepperoni 2) sweet heat 3) south Philly. We always ask for well done. Two of us shared the Sun kissed ahi Bowl. Great flavor and tuna was done correctly. Service was fine. So other than the pickles we were pleased. Want to try the beer wall next time. read more

Me and my co-workers went in for happy hour last Thursday evening and we looking over the craft cocktail menu when out of the blue a friendly man came over to our table to introduce himself and the wonderful craft beers he had to offer on the signature beer wall. The location is nice. The open air environment makes for a pleasant experience. But the food and drink menu is severely limited. A whole drink menu filled this mule's, giblets and old fashions is a little much and the food was average. Being trendy and original is fine but not at the expense of simple menu staples. We asked the waitress for waters and napkins three times. We never got them. When I gave her my card to pay, she swiped it in the card reader at the table and waited, watching to see what I put for a tip. It was super uncomfortable. Stopped in for a quick beer and something to eat after golf. They have a good selection of cocktails, and about 40+ craft beers on tap, plus a couple familiar national brands on tap and in bottles. The draft beer is self serve, which is new to me, but a cool idea. I want to go back when I'm in the mood to take my time and try a few flights of beer. This visit, I wanted simple. They had bottles of Yuengling, which is exactly what I wanted. Regarding food, I tried the Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls. Our waitress said they were the biggest seller, and I can see why. These things are killer....not on my cardiologist's approved list, but he wasn't there, so chow down. They have a good menu with enough variety to keep you coming back. We (a party of 4) arrived at Oak & Stone (Wellen Park) at 6:30 pm, which was obviously a busy time. As soon as we were at the front door, we were immediately escorted to a table. A waitress arrived in no time and took our drink orders and explained how the bands worked for the beer taps. While we were enjoying sampling the different beers and hard ciders, our pizza order was taken and Robert, who was the tavern's tap specialist, assisted us in fine tuning our particular tastes. We ordered four different kinds of pizza and they were all delicious. We loved the thin crust! One of us was celebrating his birthday and our waitress and Robert helped to make it very special with beverage choices and a peanut butter explosion dessert! One star yep because they were open, stop in for lunch and had the worst experience in a restaurant in a long time. the bartender had a bad attitude and just to get a beer I needed a flag, and we were seated at the bar. She needed help and management failed her. We waved her down and just to take our order it was a problem, but we ordered everything at once. Service was definitely lacking. We received our appetizer, it was fried pickles, I swear they came out of an old Howard Johnson freezer box, there was not many pickles but mostly fried dough. Terrible $11.00. Then we received our lunch, wife got chicken wings that she said were good, but mine Ceasar salad with chicken, people they used iceberg lettuce, which should have been Romaine, and the chicken was so hard I could have put it on the patio as a steppingstone. 5-dollar beers, 16.50 for my wrong salad and paver. terrible will not be seeing me anytime soon and I recommend people stay away. read more

Great service! Couldn't be happier with our waitress and the tap attendant! Not as good in the food dept. Very salty wings. Pizza with arugola, prosciutto and balsamic - barely any arugola, could only see few drops of balsamic. Also very salty, quality of prosciutto very questionable. Plain pizza was good. Beer selection is wide and everyone can find something for their taste buds. Would I come back? For beer and great service - yes. Foodwise - not at this time. The food is great but the service needs some work. They are overwhelmed so I understand to a point but my 3 stars comes from a bartender that should not be working there. From slamming the dishwasher door countless times like an 8 year old, belittling a customer that was asking for a wine list to making drinks with so much hatred I can't believe HE stills works there. There were guests trying to pay for their food and order but were seriously scared to say anything. It was a shit show and quite frankly I thought he was going to snap and kill someone. Was this a one time event...no I talked to some other people watching this and they stated his behavior is constant. Hi recently ate at the oak and stone restaurant in Welland Park. I went with another group and they had set us up for call waiting for first table. We received at a spacious table outside and the waitress appeared promptly. I learned that you could go in and visit all the different types of beer and just pay by trying samples. I chose to just get a bottle beer and ordered the pizza with everything on it. The pizza was very good. It is thin crust just to know, but I like it that way it was done very well and tasted delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to try as it is new to the area and several more visits will give me a better opinion on how good the food is after trying different things. The service was excellent. I will have to add and we hopefully tips the waitress for her. Great service will be back. read more
