I love the people here and the work that they do! Esther is one of the sweetest ladies on the planet, and her son is always a pleasure to chat with when I come in here to drop off and pick up laundry a few times a week. Work shirts and pants always come back clean and pressed. Dry-clean only sweaters are draped over pant-hangers so they don't stretch. They've fixed zippers on coats before, and I always drop off my jeans here when I need them shortened (which is all the time - why is everyone so tall?!) Once, the driver was late to drop off some clothes to the store, and OC were nice enough to offer to bring the dry cleaning to my place (around the corner). Completely unnecessary since it takes me 30 seconds to walk here, but it was such a nice gesture on their part! I haven't been going to the dry cleaners multiple times a week before, but the pricing seems quite decent to me. $1.25/shirt is much better than me having to wash and iron (I *loathe* ironing). A wonderful option in the neighborhood if you need things dry cleaned. read more

I've been here a few times since switching away from the other cleaners in the neighborhood. I enjoyed the service and didn't have any problems, until today. I dropped off my tuxedo on Monday for pickup today. I said to the lady, how much will this be, as I like to bring cash. she replied $23.85 and wrote it on her copy of my ticket. I went in, and just as I got through the door, a cell phone went off and she made a mad dash for it, telling me hurriedly "just a moment", 5 minutes later she came to me and I pointed at my tux and said I was here for pickup. She started mumbling about it being afternoon, and then went back to her phone a moment. When she returned, I asked if it was ready, and she said "yes", and then bagged it up and looked at the ticket that said $23.85 and said "$28.85" and I went "it's $28.85 now?" and she said yes. But I looked and that 3 next to that 8 were very distinguishable. I looked at her. She went back to her phone, then came back. I handed her 2 $20s. I got $11.15 in change. I decided that I'm no longer a customer there, $5 parting fee. She also made me late to work with all her personal phone business. read more

I love the workers here! I brought a pair of shorts that I had stained with fruit juice with my stupid clumsy hands. It was probably not savable but I decided to give it a try with dry cleaning. The lady working at the time saw the stains and warned me that it will probably not come out. I decided to go ahead since I was going to trash the shorts anyways. When I came back to pick up my shorts the lady working there felt bad that she could not remove the stains. She also told me that she tried 3 times with no luck. She apologized and I had to apologize back of course. The extra effort they took on my cheap pair of shorts was beyond standard customer service. I am out a pair of shorts (stupid juice!) but I would definitely use this cleaners again for all my other clothes. read more

This is reasonable for the quality (i.e. laundry becomes odor- and stain-free) and efficiency (2-day turnaround) of their work. DO NOT DO any TAILORING with them. Upon arrival, he said to me and my friend that he does not know exactly the price, and he will call us back for the price. Me and my friend wanted to shorten and taper Jeans. After one week passed, he did not call at all and we were wondering what happened and decided to call him back. He picked up and when we asked for the price he evaded the topic and said that he is going somewhere else, and will call back again. When we finally went to check on directly to the shop, he said it is ready, and the cost for ONE SIDE OF THE JEANS IS 15 dollars. so i ended up PAYING ONE JEANS FOR 35 dollars. My clothes were done on time within a few days and all came out perfect. If you are looking for a reasonably priced Dry cleaning business, look no further. The store is a on the street corner located just by itself without other business, so this makes them not too hard to find. Because of the large business I brought for them, the lady business owner was kind and gave me 10% off my dress shirt cleaning. Their rates for big coats and sweaters/sport coats are just a little bit high, but then, you will not find another dry cleaner that offers the same rates on the regular dress shirts and pants. This way you come come out even on top. I had several sweaters for dry cleaning when I came here. Initially, I had thought of not having them clean the sweaters but when I saw the prices for the dress shirts (I know, said it too many times) as well as a kind discount the lady offered me because of the large volume of clothes I had, I was sold. I love the location of this dry cleaners and had high hopes for it because I need one in the area but I was disappointed and a little shocked. I left my sweater there for 2 weeks and 2 days. Work schedule has been crazy. When I went in to pick the sweaters up the woman looked at me then marked through the price on the receipt and added $2.50. "late fee" ??? I tried to give this the benefit of the doubt but when I got home and opened my sweaters my cashmere sweater was covered in little white fur balls. It looks like they put it in with something white and never cleaned it off my sweater. The sweater smells clean but beyond that the experience was bad! I'm giving them two stars because I've had some wool items done there and they came out fine. This second (and last) experience is what makes my rating low. I left a blazer that I borrowed from a friend to be cleaned on Monday and picked up on Friday. After leaving the place, I noticed that the black coloring on the buttons had been scraped off. Naturally, I went back to show them the damage and to ask for at least a partial refund (because now I have to buy new buttons and have them sewn on). The woman at the counter said, first, that it must have already been like that, because they cover the buttons in aluminum foil to prevent damage. I assured her that they hadn't been damaged (and to that extent!), because I would have never worn this blazer to an interview if that had been the case. She then said that it was a "button problem" because they were of poor quality (which I would not say of White House Black Market), and that I should go "complain to the store" where I bought it from. She offered to sew new buttons on if I bought them (!), but by that time I wanted nothing more to do with this dry cleaner. That was a terrible way handling of a customer problem. I took all 18 of my jackets to this cleaners and I could not have been more pleased with the results! At my recommendation, my husband took in his three suits. The cuff on pants for one suit had a ripped hem. They fixed it perfectly and you cannot even tell that the cuff was ripped! And in response to the one posting about being rude to an African-American customer, my husband is also African-American, and they were wonderful with him. Believe me, if they had shown any racist tendencies, my husband would have picked up on it immediately. read more

awful...i'd give zero stars if i could! they ruined two of my husband's shirts - came back with two perfect neon yellow squares in the middle of the chest, when we complained they said they must have already been there...right, 2 perfect yellow squares that we never noticed... then this past week (about 6 months after the shirt incident) my husband needed a suit steamed and rather than drive out to our new dry cleaners (Zenglers - love them!) we decided "how could oak street mess up steaming a suit?" BIG MISTAKE came back all bubbled - they must have pressed it and not steamed it...again they said it must have been like that! for a $1000 suit we're tempted to go to small claims court! very very unhappy - would NEVER recommend them! read more
