I've lived here for a little over two years. I recently moved into a two bedroom apartment to take care of my grandmother with my husband. It's just us three living together in our rather large but cosy home.
I'll begin with the annoying cons first.
Cons:
- I will say it was MUCH more quiet on the single bedroom side on the apartments. Little to no young and tiny crotch terrors screaming and running around upstairs and outside, destroying the local environment, beating the trees with screwdrivers, and vandalizing cars...
On the two bedroom side, it is swarming with kids and poor parents. Want to use the swimming pool? Too bad, there are over two dozen children pissing in it and then flicking it at your face, while their fat parents watch House Wives in their living room.
- Our lazy neighbors also have a terrible habit of leaving their garbage in the stairwell, most oftenly pushed closer to our door. They apparently believe the public hall and stairs are their own private storage dump. There is no regulations to stop people from doing this apparently.
- There are no car and parking regulations. People may have as many cars as they want, rather they are running or even broke down, sit in parking spaces for years and collect dust and rot. All parking spots get taken up quickly, the ones closest to the doors typically taken by non moving broken down vehicles. There are no assigned slots on the two bedroom side, and disabled/elderly parking does not exist. Which is awfully unfair for my disabled grandmother. Too often we need to park very far away and be forced to have my grandma take 15 minutes to hobble with her walker to the door in all sorts of weather conditions, because a family of five need to have each of their three cars parked directly in front of their apartment every day.
- No dogs allowed, which is great... however it is freaking not when your above neighbors somehow avoid those rules and have TWO large obnoxious barking dogs keeping you awake, ruining your television, and leaving muddy, stinky, crap landmines in your yard. Seriously, screw you!!! Clean your mutt's butt fudge. Complained about this to the land lord and she said they were 'therapy dogs'. Really? You need TWO? Being completely untrained? What if I tell you my cat is a therapy animal? Can she live here for free, can I dump her litter box in the public yard, can I let her scream all night?
Any one can claim their pet is a therapy pet.
- Laundry machines break down a lot. And other residents are extremely lazy and too inconsiderate to report it. Often leaving you to find out they are broken after you dump laundry soap and cash into the machine. Leaving you with soapy clothes, waiting for days or longer for maintenance to come fix it.

Pros:
- When the laundry works, it is tremendously great. Don't have to go far to clean your stuff. No one likes going to laundromats.
- The price to live here isn't bad. I mean it could be much worse. I'm paying $625 to live in a fairly large two bedroom apartment with a patio, laundry room outside my door, a pet cat, included water and no gas bill, beautiful brick walls, beautiful ceiling lights, heating, air conditioning, big outside dumpsters, a large attractive public back yard, a pool, a car port, it's located near the largest shopping center in all of Ohio, and it's directly between to graveyards. So other than the resident child noises... it's pretty quiet and peaceful.
The apartment on the inside is very attractive and fair. It has plenty of storage, and no damage. Pre existing cable hookups too. A lovely full kitchen in the two bedroom buildings.
Sure some neighbors I wouldn't mind hitting over the head, but the apartment itself is very good. I'm satisfied with it.
- Cats allowed, and other small quiet pets. Sure there is a fee. But money is worth having a stress reliever and a friend.
- On site cleaning staff. Occasionally people come out to clean the hall/stair ways, and do yard work.
- 24 hour apartment maintenance. Where the laundry maintenance is a failure, at least the apartment maintenance is less disappointing. They respond quickly, and will help you with anything. I had flooding in my first floor apartment, and maintenance responded fast and had people out in about an hour to dry it up no charge.
- Office attendant is friendly and very helpful. She will hear you out with any issue and try her best to answer questions, give your advice, and get stuff done. Moving from a one bedroom to a two bedroom was a breeze with her help.
- There are assigned car spots on the one bedroom apartment side of the road. I wish I could say the same for the two bedroom side. The down side to the one bedroom side is you get ONE spot, with the exception of a small spot for visitor, employee, and future resident parking. HOWEVER, residents abuse this. People with multiple cars will hog the visitor parking and never ever move. So, it's a mixture or con and pro. read more
