Really good. Stayed at the Sonesta in Bee Cave, TX. This restaurant is on the 6th floor. Nice decor and ambiance. I was on a biz trip and eating alone so I grabbed a seat at the bar, and was promptly greeted. Server was very friendly. Menu looked good. I had some tacos that were pretty good. Prices not bad. Recommended while in Bee Cave.

Fantastic place !!! Jordan and Jesse are the BOMB! Great service and atmosphere and the drinks and laughs never went dry.

The Bee's Knees Meridian 98 is a posh lounge on the top floor of the Sonesta hotel which anyone can go up after 4 PM. Apparently they have music Wednesday and Thursday. The ambiance resembles a darkly lit London pub with leather seating and a wraparound outdoor deck with seating. We went up there twice during stay but only enjoyed drinks which were smashing. The menu has a few items and geared to Austin farm to table culture. The service was top notch and made us feel welcomed. Being in Bee Cave many mixed drinks are made with honey. There is no dress code but I suggest business casual to match all the wood and leather. I had no idea being 6 floors up at Bee Cave to what views you would have but can see miles around including Mansfield Dam. I was amazed.

This place has a great view - sunsets here are pretty if you get the right spot (where the balcony wraps around the bar). Service - slow but friendly Food - subpar. The fries here were great- crispy and full of flavor. It could have been elevated if they had any other dip other than ketchup (truffle aoli, chipotle mayo...anything). The pizza was lacking in flavor except for screaming fig butter in each bite. Overall just ok food. Drinks - they were generic, bar drinks. I would have expected them to be better. Neither Manhattan or lemon drop stood out, and I switched over to their dry wine rose which was a good choice. Parking - free and in the garage Ambiance - its lovely. Great views, and I liked the interior decor as well. This place has the basics down. If they added hanging plants, lights, better dips and drinks I think they would be a lot busier.

Place has an amazing view by the deck and the indoor rooms are like in a living room. Serving size of food are shareable and not expensive. Not much selection of food but you get a lot of choices in cocktails and spirits. The service staff are attentive and friendly.

The fall menu was incredible!! The shrimp with local honey and the flat bread pizza!! The best part of this place is that everything is sourced in Texas so you are kind of supporting local which I like. The view is nice from the top so I'd say it's a super cute date spot. Dressy place or golf shirt kind of place if you know what I mean.

Now the inside scoop on Meriden 98, first I never thought menu entrees looked this good and tastes delicious. I decided to have the Wrapped Bacon Shrimp a must with jalapenos the chef put this together with expertise....this is a rooptop lounge and people come after work to enjoy the beautiful views and sunsets. The Executive chef Pat Newman shares dishes that are freshly made and locally by Texas organic farms and seafood a major plus. The Heirloom tomatoe and watermelon salad was amazing and Tamarind Vinaigrette a dash of basil and mint. You crave it after tasting this salad.....incredible. planning to order another round of entrees this week. If you want a bar drink It recommmend the "Beekeeper" I love it definitely am returning and there is live music is a major plus. You will love it... I promise! Till next review see you Elite yelpers and good friends!

    Chic fireplace!

It's been on our…read moreradar for quite some time, and with my brother in town, we decided to give it a try on a Tuesday night. It was quite busy when we arrived, which immediately set a good mood. The energy inside was great, the decor is beautiful, and the whole space gives off 1920s Great Gatsby vibes. The bar scene looked lively, and plenty of guests seemed to be enjoying themselves. We were offered seating on one of the couches near the entrance but chose a more private table instead. Our server was pleasant and kind, though he appeared new. A few small things were missed. Our appetizer plates sat on the table for about 15 to 20 minutes before being cleared, and fresh utensils were not brought out. The wait time for drinks, appetizers, and our main courses was quite long. It felt like we were there close to two hours, with about 30 to 45 minutes between each course. I arrived starving, and unfortunately the long waits made me cranky and impatient and started to affect my appetite. When our drinks finally arrived, I ordered the seasonal apple cider margarita. I was hoping it would be festive and delicious, but it turned out to be very tangy and bitter and not quite the cozy, fall-inspired drink I had expected. My husband and brother did enjoy their drinks, though. The pork belly appetizer, which came highly recommended, was a mixed experience. I would give it a 10 out of 10 for flavor but a 5 out of 10 for texture. The burnt end was extremely tough to cut through, even with effort, and my knife was not strong enough. While it did taste good, it was not the most tender pork belly I have had. I have had versions that truly melt in your mouth, and this one was much chewier. The fried shrimp appetizer was a solid 7 out of 10. It tasted good, but it did not stand out or wow me. The presentation set higher expectations for the flavor than what came through, and the sauce did not feel particularly unique. For my entree, I ordered the hamburger. It was good and well prepared, but nothing especially memorable, just a solid, classic burger. My brother ordered the fish sandwich and absolutely loved his. We had the chance to speak with the owner, who was very kind and friendly. He is clearly passionate about his restaurant and genuinely wants to continue making it better, which I truly appreciate. I am glad we finally made it in to try The Gramercy. Overall, I would be willing to come back. I think it would be a great spot for weekday drinks, appetizers, or brunch, especially during a busy work week. And I love that it is open late until 12 a.m., which is not very common in Lakeway.

Responses were a bit slow initially, but with a few follow-ups she was helpful and did a good job answering my questions and clarifying details. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, making it a great choice for a festive gathering. Our reservation was in the evening in mid-December, so we did not get to experience the outdoor views, which I imagine are beautiful. That said, the indoor dining experience was still very pleasant. Our waitress was wonderful. She was accommodating, communicative, and professional throughout the evening. The food was tasty and well presented, and overall the group seemed happy with their selections. I ordered the bolognese. It was not the best I have had, but it also did not feel like a standout dish on the menu. I would be open to trying other options next time. Overall, we had a positive experience and would return. They have this ceiling fans open that I don't know what's the reason behind opening it when the weather is so cold. And who puts string lights close to a ceiling fan??? It was a nightmare for me and my family members.. the ceiling fan and all the outdoor dining is a big safety concern! The ceiling fan got broken after it hit the string lights and one of the propellers broke and suddenly flew to my face, luckily I saw it and just turned around but still hit my neck to shoulder area. It was a huge, thick fan propeller and I don't think people will understand this if you didn't experience or saw it in person. Everybody was in shock and panicky because no one is turning off that ceiling fan even if it was still broken and hit ME on my neck! My family had to shout a few times just so everyone is aware to turn off the ceiling fan! Compensated all of our food but it will but our life will never be the same again.. the trauma you this restaurant caused us! And I think the staff wasn't really fully trained to execute an emergency because they don't even know what to do and at the end they just offered me free wine and the calling card of who ever we need to talk incase we have future claims with them. Other than that, one of the staff members were a little bit nosy and staring at us and giving us that annoying look! And that's unacceptable and inappropriate. To conclude this, someone needs to be liable.. definitely not coming back to any restaurants named after this company in future. Luckily, the food and server was good but still not a solution to a horrible accident that could have been prevented by the staff or maintenance. Safety of customers is the top priority but they have ZERO of that yesterday! Thank God for the EMT and for my family who took care of me.

My group was given two boats for a very roomy experience with canopies for lots of shade if desired (but these were pulled back at night to enjoy the stars), there was even shaded areas on the lake (if you want to sip a cocktail with the boat shading you) on a lillypad to float if desired. The lake breeze and the wind as the boats cruised make it completely cool both on the lake and on the floating tavern. A rental of time at Floating Tavern is completely an experience that feels like you are out of the United States. It is so exotic! They cater your day totally to what you want to do. Want jet skis? Fine. Want to go cliff diving? Fine. Want to just cruise the lake or take a trip with music? That works too. Just chill out sipping a cocktail on a lillypad or floating? Go for it. Once your water time and cruise time is completed, the real fun begins. With expert captains having given us a great lake tour, we pulled up to the floating tavern and that was just incredible. I brought electric candles for the table to level up the experience a bit but they did it all so well with or without them and it was so roomy even for our large group! They had dimmed lights for ambiance, a mixologist squeezing fresh juices for us for amazing drinks she made with the alcohol we brought, (their alcohol package may be easier next time as it is very affordable) and we had two chefs creating small bites for us hot and cooked right there on the tavern as the sun set and we were surrounded only by lake and stars, docked right there in the middle of the lake. The service was exemplary and far beyond our expectations of fun and being catered to. You can bring some of your own food too to make a full party if desired. The communication leading up to the event was exceptional and I'll be honest, I would much rather book this experience with friends a few times a year then ever buy a boat. It is the best lake experience and lake dining you will ever have and the hosts are a huge part of the fun of the day. True experts at what they do and we are a group of well traveled, well dined foodies (including two professional chefs) and we were completely wowed at our evening. It's the vibe that gets you.
