Saved my appetite for this!…read more Super glad I did! Mountain Cravings was on my list to hit. The reviews did not lead me astray lol The menu is huge!! I wasn't prepared for that hahaha I was able to find a few things that were vegetarian friendly. My mom wanted nachos, and I wanted a cheese quesadilla. My dad was craving a burger. They had all of those. It was the perfect stop. There was some sort of street fair going on, so we grabbed our food and walked around the little town. Service was good. The restaurant isn't very big. They sure do whip up some good grub though! I can see why they have good reviews. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the mountain. Next time I go up, I will come back here.

Arrived with a party of 4 and there was a short wait to get seated. There's about a total of 12 or so tables but it was moving at a decent pace. Unfortunately things went south from there. Got seated and the waiters were pretty fast and attentive. I had an early breakfast so decided to go with the lunch Patty Melt as it was a restaurant house specialty. Friends ordered the BBQ sandwich and Ragin Cajun. It took almost 30+ minutes for the food to come out and most of the meats came out very dried for some reason. The fries were fabulous though. Decor is very mountain diner-esque but clean and comfy. Maybe what we ordered was not exactly their specialty as I saw lots of people eating breakfast. But the lunch menu was just not it on Sunday sadly. Was so hungry from the long wait that I even forgot to take photos of my food.

With some outside tables offering scenic views of the lake, this is a great spot to take a rest from browsing and grab an ice cream cone, cold drink, specialty coffee, or sugary treat. The shop offers Thrifty Ice cream in assorted flavors, cone choices ranging from simple sugar to freshly-made, warm waffle cones for cradling your scoops, and a variety of additional crowd pleasing snacks such as churros, baked goods, specialty lattes, Dole Whip, soft serve, and other edible treasues too numerous to mention. Price wise, their offerings are a bit on the higher side - I paid around $10 for a large chocolate malt (shakes are cheaper) - but you will probably encounter a small, quickly-moving line upon entry. And though ice cream can be found at other village businesses, indeed, there are some confections that are unique to this site. Our server (apparently only one on a weekday afternoon) was pleasant and efficient, rapidly filling orders and fielding any questions as she moved to and fro translating the pictured menu offerings into the equally-tempting tangible goodies that excited patrons scurry away holding. It's hard to resist this little spot as you peruse the shops along the esplanade - and what's better than strolling around that walkway bend to the lakefront businesses with a refreshing treat in hand? I'm sure you'll find something that catches your eye and, subsequently, dazzles your tastebuds.

We also tried a vanilla flurry with chocolate chip cookies and Oreos. It had good flavor, but the cookies tasted a bit old. The workers were friendly and helpful, and answered all our questions with no problem. There was a pretty long line, but it moved fast, and once we ordered we got our ice cream right away. Prices were pretty average, not too expensive, not super cheap. The shop itself was clean and inviting, which made the visit even better. Overall, a cute spot for a quick treat!

We had waited in line outdoors for most of the time. It was quite cold and windy during the wait. One place I wish they had outdoor heaters . The house is decorated on the outside just like you would imagine a gingerbread house would be, cute, adorable and delicious looking. Once you walk into the house you will find some displays of familiar candies. Maybe something you may want to get the next time you are at your convenience or grocery store. Save room for the some of the beautiful and delightful dessert that are displayed behind the acrylic shield. And don't forget something warm to drink! The drink orders once made are handed out at the window on the side of the building. We ordered quite a bit, just wanting to try everything that looked and sounded delicious. My girls enjoyed the cinnamon rolls while the pretzel, and molasses cookie were my favorite. My girls agreed with me on the cookie as well. The grandkids enjoyed their cake pop. For hot drinks, we ordered hot chocolate and hot chai. For me, it was worth the wait. I would order more molasses cookie and an extra pretzel! The customer service was friendly despite the line of people that was coming through. Great job staff! I plan to stop by this house again the next time we come to Santa's Village.

They had little water bowls for them that they provide as well. They had some cool merch that's up for sale and we snagged a few hats that were very cool looking. Can't wait to be back and bring some friends along. Def worth visiting again!
