First time I've ever waited an hour for a bakery but couldn't pass up the line. The chocolate chip brioche and the cinnamon roll were our favorites but we also got a brownie, 3 different cookies, cake, and a pizza

Campbell Hill is back! They have limited hours in the evenings going into the weekend. Not the full service bakery as before but serving up delectable goodies along with dinner items. Check their Facebook and instagram page for hours, menu offerings and updates.

Great small bakery in 29 Palms! The menu changes weekly, so you always get to try something new. I usually check their Instagram or Facebook for the week's menu and hours. There's usually a line since only one party is allowed inside at a time due to limited space, but it's definitely worth the wait. Their sandwiches, soups, drinks, and pastries are all delicious. Thank you!

Amazing pizza. Still tastes great the next day too.

I would gladly drive the 2 hours from my home to try some delicious pizzas, soups and some of the best pastries on earth. He also has a ton of other goodies. If you're anywhere within 50 miles of this place between business hours, make the detour. You won't regret it.

A very savory pizza with caramelized onions.

Had the banana bread and double chocolate chip cookie. Texture and taste was on point. Highly recommend trying it out.

Excellent bakery very niche only only on Thursday Friday and Saturday evenings. I try to stop every time I'm in town.

We learned about Everett Gordon through the snippets that our waiter shared so passionately. And you can feel the love in the food! Ambience and customer service was top tier. Faves: mushroom tartine, branzino, lamb pops, along with the 6 other dishes we had! Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5

When you sit you already have small plates and things at the table which makes sense for indoors but with the desert setting there was sand everywhere. The tables were also covered in sand which obviously isn't their fault but you would think it would be wiped and set before seating. The fresh drinks were imo the best part by far. They were so delicious and like I said very fresh. The kale salad was alright not really much flavor and weirdly soggy. The beet salad was incredible but definitely NOT enough to share considering everything is served family style (and especially with the price). Burger was alright, my sister had this and said "nothing stood out". Again not enough to be considered "family style". With everything being $30-$40 with recommended 4-5 plates per table with family style I would assume they would actually be shareable sizes. Service was good. Our waitress was amazing and so knowledgeable about the menu. The only thing is there was an older woman as hostess who was kind of just there? She said hi and got to the point but no one said bye or have a good night when we were leaving other than our waitress.

The Inn is super welcoming. Lydia at the front desk was kind and responsive to my changing needs (i kept adding days.) Nearly every person staying here that I met were displaced Angelenos. Morning breakfast (great selection) was a place to connect and grieve. At night, dinner in the restaurant was an escape from the news. I like sitting at the bar. I met a slew of locals who were super kind and welcoming. Cowboy. TJ. Vickie. And a host of others... They made me feel like a regular immediately. Carrie (Kari?) the bartender was top notch - attentive, talkative and enthusiastic. I met her fab parents and even shared goodbye hugs. (That's a good human!) Ashley (the manager) was equally wonderful on Sunday night. I was entertained by visiting artists each night too. Bowdie welcomed me regularly. I stayed in the Bottle Room (my fave) for three nights and Goldenbush for 2. Goldenbush is quieter and more light but the Bottle room has a tub! Much needed after a stressful getaway from LA. Plus, I left my laptop and the cleaning crew - two warm women- made sure I was notified immediately. This is my 4th stay at the Inn. The proximity to the park is perfect. I can't express enough how much this place means to me. Thanks 29 Palms. You are funky, and clean, and beautiful, and dry (my God is it dry here) and filled with nice personal touches (lunch options are deeply appreciated.) May you live long and prosper. Until we meet again. I hope we do.

We kept it simple, a couple of salads with a cup of chili on the side. Sometimes simple is exactly right. The salads were fresh, crisp, and actually satisfying, not the sad afterthought kind. And the chili? Genuinely delicious. Rich, comforting, and good enough that I took the rest to go so I could upgrade the next morning's hotel breakfast. No regrets there. The space is casual and lively, nothing fancy, but it has a welcoming energy that makes you want to stay a bit. It was busy when we arrived, always a good sign, and the service matched the vibe. Friendly, easygoing, and attentive without hovering. All in, a really nice stop. Fresh food, warm service, and exactly the kind of place you're glad you found after a long stretch on the road.
