Honestly had a really bad time here . I had more than what I needed , when I got here they said they go off of NO CREDIT which I thought was perfect . So I give them a paystub , a trade in with a title , bank statements and a co-signer, offer letter and I still couldn't get anything . They made me jump through hoops for two days and still didn't approve me for a car because my credit was too POOR . I thought you didn't go off of CREDIT??? The people are fine, but their service department is one of the most incompetent and idiotic places that I've ever seen. My husband paid on a car that we bought here and ///he hadn't even driven it yet///. The power steering went out, and it's been almost two months now that we've been attempting to get this taken care of because these assholes at the repair center have ordered the wrong part three times--and now it's on "national backorder." Find another place to get a car. This isn't worth the headache to wait almost two months for a replacement. We didn't even get the replacement suggested from Oak Motors. If i could choose 0 stars i would, i recieved a car from the southside indy oak motors that wfter 2 weeks had the thermostat go out, the brakes got squeeky after that, and around the same time a gas leak happened. If the car was just a lemon i could work with that but it turned out to be an immediate threat on my life. Indiana finance would not work with me and did not care, they took the car back as a voluntary reposession and are now trying to charge me the difference on the piece of junk 2010 ford focus that i had payed 12,000 for. So I went to this location awhile back and so glad I did not buy anything there. First off they lure you in with this deal that even the sales people will tell you does not exist. Then you get in there and you walk into a dirty building that seems like it was rushed together so they could just start selling. No one at that time seemed like they even wanted to work because I stood there 10 minutes before they acknowledged I was there. Then I tell them I came in after talking to someone on the phone about an ad they were running and the sales person tells me that the deal really doesn't exist it's a sales tactic to get people in. Um that's dishonest!! Then they start running you through the gambits of questions essentially trying to get you to go car poor for a down payment or car payment. After you get run through the gambit of questions you get to look at cars. Omg high mileage cars that are definitely not taken care of and I would be scared to put my dog into to run to the vets office. The money they are asking for these cars are absolutely ridiculous. I test drove one car, came back and told them the brakes were shot and the car almost stalled out at a light and they just looked at me like I was stupid. I luckily was able to look at all these warnings and left the dealership. I went down the road to another dealership, got a new car with no money down and pretty good payment almost comparable for what Oaks wanted for a eight year old car. I know this is a second chance place for some and for people with credit issues. But, don't feel that you should be treated like this is your one and only option and look at the signs of the process and go with your gut. My car has been in the shop more than not the 8 months I've had the car. Crap service and come to find out they have non certified mechanics working in the cars. Major issue after major issue. My car has been there for 4 days and still can't tell me what's wrong with my car!!!! They have no rental cars available but says in my paperwork that if the work being done on your car is longer than 8 hours then you get one. My job is now on the line cause I can't afford $100 a day in Uber charges. I'm disgusted and filing a formal complaint with the BBB. Once I inquired about the high price of the vehicle and the "warranty," they accused me of having fake check stubs!!! I was appalled and extremely embarrassed. I have had the worst type of experience with oak motors back in October of 2013 they reposed my truck after the fact that they said they would work with me due to my hours being cut at my one job. But that was all a bull sh*t lie. The bad thing is that the vehicle they repoed had made my 4th vehicle through them. I have never seen or had a company treat it's customers this bad. They wonder why people do not want to buy vehicles off of them. I think that for a customer that has spent as much money as I have through them they would have some consideration to the customers that do actually pay their car notes and to the ones that have been loyal like I had and kept going back to them to get vehicle up grades but they dont. To me they are a business that has no respect or concern or care for their customers. Truly I do not see how the store in Anderson can stay in business with the way they treat their customers. To me they are not a business they ate a rip off and unprofessional at what they do. They give a bad name to other business of the same product. Two years ago (2011) I purchased a car from Oak Motors Shadeland and to be blunt I have been ripped off. Two weeks after I purchased this car I began to have problems. The service department refused to fix it even when I brought them a service report from a Ford dealership that said the motor mounts were bad and it had electrical issues. For a whole year I called nearly weekly about issues, but was ignored. In November 2012 while driving on the interstate the car caught on fire and burned out the electrical system. Shadelands answer was well you should have taken better care of your car. I have impeccable records of all routine maintenance, so they are full of it. My step-daughter left her abusive husband but needed a car to get back and forth to work. Her credit was bad so this was about her only chance to get a car. She qualified for a car that Kelly Blue Book (kbb.com) valued at $3500 but they listed it for $9k ($13k was the total after financing) but she was in a bind so she agreed. She had the car less than a week and the fuel pump went out. Oak did tow it in for service however it took 6 days (including a weekend) to get the car back. There is a $50 deductible on service but when she got her car back the gas tank was almost empty (from 1/2 tank) and they had placed a note on the windshield saying, "Not responsible for gas usage." Seriously? Why would it take almost 1/2 tank to replace a fuel pump? It should not take hardly any (spillage) and I would think that they would want to run it for a few minutes but that seems suspicious to me to go through that much fuel. I bet some gasoline when into someone elses tank but I do not know that for a fact. During the sales process, they also claimed that the person who referred us would get a $200 check in the mail. That turned out to be $200 credit on any service performed. So, the good news is they will tow your car for free. The bad news is everthing else. If you are unfortunate enough to have to resort to this place, then just understand what you are getting into. The sales process is slow and will take at least 4 hours and they will come back telling you that what you had budgeted is not enough and say you will have to pay more. As long as you can take the agony of dealing with this place and accept the fact that because of your bad luck they will take advantage of you then there should be no surprises. Worst dealership ever all they sell is rigged lemons. I was a payment ahead and on the due date of my paymemt they called me asking. They didn't care I was ahead a payment. I told Teresa (loss prevention) I was ahead she didnt care. Was way overly rude each and every time. Why be rude at 10am? Called us on weeks payment wasnt even due asking about it. i wasnt even behind yet. Ya i wanna be bothered at work by a rude snobby person. I wasn't even behind.Teresa and all the problems is why im not paying let them repo it. Atleaat my kids life wont be in jeopardy anymore. The sales guy lied to my face saying sensors were all replaced. Right after the warranty went out my engine light came on. A shop my friend works at said atleast seven sensors were bad and he didnt know how it was still running. The sales guy seen I had kids he still sold us a lemon. Lying to get that sales commission not caring that the thing would break down in winter with my kids in the car. Right before the warranty went out the brake lights stopped working. Took it in paid the 50 dollar fee they "fixed" the short well right aftet warranty went out the lights went out again. I should of fixed it myself atleast then we would have brake lights. I would never go back or refer anyone I wouldnt even go there for a glass of water if I was dying of dehydration. Dont go to oak they dont care about anything but money. A 2006 Trailblazer isnt wortg 20,000 or the 5-10,000 to fix all the mechinal problems it came with. read more

Took the vehicle for a test drive noticed back passenger window (powered window) doesn't go down. Asked sales person about it he said he ll check on it for us. Never got back to us but started the buying process. After we got approved drove off lot mentioned about backseat drivers side window still hasnt heard anything on ,"it!" We re upset because we want a working vehicle and with the window not going down the vehicle broke down on us 3 hours later. Not even us putting on 20 miles on it! Granted the shop fixed it , but shouldn't have happened. Especially paying nearly 20 k for this vehicle. Three days later the other backseat passenger side power window doesn't go "down," all of a sudden. We tried to get it fixed with Oak and said its a faulty motor not covered under warranty. Both windows will cost me over $600 in repair. Granted the sales person never got back to us about the original window not working. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone for a vehicle that won't stay in working order within 2 weeks. Nobody really cares because it isn't their problem or car. Oak got the vehicle sold that's all that matters. We weren't asking but a vehicle that runs including windows if not be up front and tell them any known problems!!! I can understand if I pay for the 1 that broke down after we got the vehicle but not the one we questioned about! Very upsetting with management and the way they came about it. read more
