I took my car to ABCO, and asked Donny to level with me about whether to sell my car or fix it. It was breaking down every few months, and becoming a money pit for me, and even though I loved the car, I was contemplating getting something more reliable. As a woman without extensive experience in automobiles, I was getting the run-around by other shops who just wanted my money to keep fixing the breakdowns. Donny won my business for life for doing two things. First, he leveled with me and told me that if it was his daughter, he would just get rid of the car and get something safer and more reliable. He didn't want to take my money, only to see me more frustrated the next time it broke down. Second, Donny offered to buy my car as a project car since he could probably fix it and get some use out of it, even with its many issues. I absolutely loved this solution! I loved that car, and just knowing that he could breathe some life back into it, and fix the other major issues when they popped up, well...that meant a lot to me. Now I think of this business as a trusted, ethical, and deeply knowledgeable resource for my next vehicle! He and his wife delivered exceptional customer service, and I think of them as friends now. I had taken my 2019 Ford Escape to Pearson Ford because I thought the starter had gone out when it…read morewouldn't start despite having a new battery and gas in my car. They tried to tell me I needed a whole new engine for around $12k. I had it towed to Sharp's Automotive for a second opinion. While part of what the dealership said was true, Sharp's was able to actually fix my engine without replacing it. There was a part that had to go to a separate machine shop for work to be done on it. The machine shop was backlogged and didn't get to my part for a week and a half, but I don't blame Sharp's since that was beyond their control. Apparently, my engine timing belt needed to be replaced along with a few other things; they also did an oil change. The timing tool they had was missing a part due to a former employee not putting it back where it belongs and they couldn't find it. So they ordered the missing part and had to wait a day to receive it. My engine timing parts were complicated for putting back together, so it took longer than he thought it would. He promised me I would get my car back on a certain day even if he had to work late. I did get my car back on the day he promised. All in all, I spent less than $5k for the work and I'm happy to have my car back in my garage. Steven was the mechanic who worked on my car; he communicated well about the progress and I think he did an excellent job. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone!

Turns out I needed not only my brakes but rotors replaced as well. Consequence for always having music turned up when driving so I never heard the warning "squeaks". That was at 9:30 this morning and by 2:30pm I was able to go pick it up. I travel a lot for work and was worried I would be without a vehicle for longer than I could afford to be.
