No complaints about Dr Lee however their ridiculous office policy to keep a credit card on file has forced me to find another ortho new orthopedic doctor. There is too much fraud and insurance errors for me to store my credit card on file there! They won't even schedule an appointment without it, no thank you...I'll find another doctor. read more

I never leave negative reviews, but my experience here was unacceptable. I arrived for a scheduled appointment regarding lower back pain. Despite being on time, multiple patients who arrived *after* me were taken back first. After finally being called for X-rays, I was told to wait "just a few minutes" for the doctor--only to sit for **over an hour** in the waiting room. When I asked how much longer, I was assured I was "next," yet **two more patients were taken ahead of me**. At that point, I had no choice but to leave without ever seeing a doctor. Wasting a patient's time--especially someone in pain-- that had there wife and infant with them because they can't walk on there own is unprofessional and inexcusable. I will be disputing the charges and strongly caution others seeking timely care to look elsewhere read more

Visited the Frankfort office for excruciating bilateral hip pain. Was brushed off due to the fact I was "only 18" and I "should not be having hip pain at a young age". I received a diagnosis of "a cold settled in your hips". Yeah, okay. Hip pain never relieved and I took myself to Midwest Orthopedics at Rush. Two surgeries later I am up and walking like I should be!! Skip Oak at all costs!!! Take yourself to those who care about you!!! read more

SO disappointed in our experience here on 8/1. As an RN and sports mom I always recommended this location for acute orthopedic care after we had a satisfactory experience here in 2023 for my son's football injury. My husband woke up on 8/1 with excruciating back pain and unable to go to work. He rarely goes to the doctor and has never been seen for this type of issue before so I decided to schedule him an IBJI OrthoAccess "skip the line" appointment for 230pm. I found a sitter for my older kids and made the hour drive with my infant for my husbands appointment. We arrived on time and made our $70 BCBS copay. After about an hour of waiting in horrible pain, they finally called my husband back for X-rays. They told him it would be a few more minutes and they would call him back again to be seen. After 15 minutes I asked the front desk if they knew how much longer it would be before he would get a room and they did "they just needed to get a room ready for him." At this point every single patient that had come in before AND after us had been called back. Our 4 month old was tired and fussy and my husband was shaking in pain. After another 15 minutes my husband said he was done and couldn't sit there in pain any longer so he told the front desk he couldn't wait anymore and needed to leave. After I helped him into the car, I came back in and asked the front desk registrar if she could please find out how much longer because if it was only a few more minutes, I may be able to get him to stay. She walked to the back and came back a few minutes later and said "sorry, but there's still 2-3 people ahead of him so it would be awhile before he gets seen." At that point I said forget it and we left around 4pm (for a 230pm appointment). The only reason we took the hour drive to this location was due to the understanding that scheduling a "skip the line" appointment meant that an appointment time was honored. We will be disputing any charges from this office as well as requesting a refund of our copay. As an RN that has worked in emergency rooms I completely understand how triage works but this was completely unacceptable and disorganized. I will never again recommend this office and urge anyone who comes in here to think twice especially if experiencing acute pain or an injury of any sorts. read more

Disorganized. First time I went there I walked out with three different follow-up appointment times and two different dates and their website portal was useless. I also wasn't happy with their approach to fixing my hip problem. I feel like I wasted a lot of time with two appointments and their recommendation to see a pain management specialist wasn't very helpful. I'm back to where I started. read more

I went there yesterday 12/30/21 as a walk in for the immediate care clinic due to an acute foot injury. I saw Taylor the PA. She was absolutely phenomenal. She has great bedside manner and is very knowledgeable. She made me feel comfortable and answered all questions I had. And that means a lot considering she was adding me onto her already very busy schedule! I didn't catch the X-ray techs name but she was also wonderful. On Feb 11th I faxed all my info to this office in Frankfort to see an ortho doc. Didn't hear back from them. I called on Feb 13th. Said doc has to check out my info. Give them 24-48. Ok. I called Feb 15th. Person on the phone tried to tell me they didn't have my info. Try again lady. They already confirmed they got it. She then said it will take longer than 48 hrs for doc to look act my info. She said whoever told you that is wrong. I let her know I'm in a lot of pain. Today, Feb 19th I get a call telling me I need to see a hand specialist. Duh. That's what I've been waiting on. You have 1 in Bradley which is 4o miles away but told me you have a doc in Frankfort that can look at my hand. Incompetent people! I had to start all over again no thanks to you!! Took my father in law for a check up on his hip surgery. I had to wait in the car because I work in a hospital. What would happen if I was the patient they would refuse to see me? Do doctors in this practice go into the hospital????- or are they only clinical? If you walk into a hospital you will be in contact with covid patients. Where do I begin. My Wife needed a new hip. We were seeking a doctor to do an anterior approach replacement and already had one side done. No diagnostic work needed and just shopping for a skilled Dr to get this done. We sent a few messages to the business and were assured that Dr Puri was the guy. Filled out everything online and made an appointment. Get the call confirming our appt. and was told to arrive 20 minutes early to fill out paperwork. Arrived at the office 20 min before appointment time like instructed and was told " Oh, you filled everything out online you can just have a seat. Waited 20 min in the waiting area and was called back, they wanted to take a fresh X-ray. Got that done and we sat in the back hallway for another few minutes till a patient exam room opened up. We get set in the exam room and proceed to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes for the Dr to come in. He asks what he can do for us and I explain we had a bad experience with our last surgeon and looking for someone to replace the other hip. Explained what we were looking for and he replies " No I can't do that hip anterior, there are some who might do it that way but I can't." He indicated he does about half of the hips he replaces that way but could not do this one like that. So an hour and a half wait and not having a bit of concern for your time the answer was No, you won't get that fixed here. I was in contact with Dr Antkowiak who had assured me that the hip specialist at his practice was the man to get the job done but apparently he doesn't know his colleagues as well as he thinks or just wanted to make some money off us. The whole adventure for an X-ray and a sorry I can't help was over 400 bucks. Not to mention over an hour and a half of time wasted. Had her hip done at Loyola. Great surgeon and was done in an hour, less time than we waited to see the Oak Orthopedic Dr. These suburban docs are not worth your time. Seek out a skilled professional at a major medical facility that has a large amount of experience and can get you fixed quickly and accurately. It's your health make the correct decision you don't want a bad outcome. read more

I have taken all three of my kids to Oaks for different kinds of sport injuries. I will never go to this orthopedic practice again. After we visited there a handful of times we realized the practice continued to nickel and dime us. This place is unethical, especially on the billing and the constant referrals to see other doctors in their practice. read more

The Doctors and staff are nice and seem helpful, unfortunately communication is lacking. I received information from the doctor that I would need surgery and he agreed time off work, then the staff sent me to a third party. The third party reported to my work it was tingling in hands and I was good to go back to work immediately. After following up with the oak orthopedic surgeon he agreed on the surgery and again it was reported to my work surgery was unnecessary and I'm good to go back to work. Now main with a new doctor who submitted the proper paperwork but because of all the difficulties with oak I'm now fighting to keep my job and still need the surgeries because of the delays caused by oak. I was referred to Oak Orthopedics by my doctor for an issue with my elbow. The nurses and aids were fantastic in setting me up in the room, all pleasant to work with. I really appreciated my time with Dr. Tom Antkowiak who took the time to explain the issue and his proposed treatment. I went back for the procedure today and Dr. Tom made me feel like I was the most important patient he had. He was fully transparent with everything he was doing. While you never "want" to go to the doctor - if I have to go back, he will be first on my list for all our ortho needs. read more

This is a great place to go if you need help with Orthopedic care or Foot Care. Both dr.lee and dr. Friedrich are excellent doctors they've helped me a lot. The staff is awesome and the wait time is usually more than 5 minutes. I highly recommend these doctors read more

I was treated like a second class citizen because my family is on Medicaid. I was highly offended and will be seeking a second opinion elsewhere. The 'Doctor' spent a total of 3 minutes with me never making eye contact. Nothing was explained clearly with no opportunity for questions. I was fitted with an air cast which was then removed. I was told I could not have it because I was on Medicaid. I'd need to go find my own at a medical supply that accepts my insurance. This is at 4:30 on a Friday. All supply places were a good distance away and closing soon. It gets worse. I am a working professional mom here with 4 kids (including 2 year old twins) under age 5 who depend on me to function. Yet an ankle and foot fracture is not enough to receive pain relief. I was in actual tears because moments earlier another patient in the lobby had stepped and tripped on my foot. I explained the pain was keeping me from sleeping - it was intensified in the evening hours. I was told I could not properly care for my children if given medication. After caring for premature TWINS born by emergency cesarean section I STRONGLY disagree. Shame on you Oak Orthopedics Frankfort. I had high hopes and had heard wonderful things. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. So many of us are struggling right now. Poor people matter, too. read more
