I bought my first gun there and and have been there on several occasions to shoot at the range. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable (but some of them have been downright cold) during the buying process but I was led to believe I was looking at a new gun (it wasn't, instead it was considered "like new"). I ended up paying brand new prices for a used gun that although being "like new" had some obvious scuff marks and signs of use or misuse. My fault for not being more diligent in my purchases but I felt I was somewhat misled and not given full disclosure about what I was buying. No worries, it won't happen again and I won't be buying any future firearms here ever. They happen to be overpriced compared to several other gun stores around Orlando anyway. They have a good selection of firearms but it's overshadowed by the high markup in price compared to other shops. As for the actual range the prices, I believe, are reasonable. The lanes are decent. Not great, not terrible. It is dimly lit inside making target acquisition harder and they don't accept rifle fire unless it is in pistol caliber rounds. So don't bother going there with your AR unless it shoots .22. Too bad I'm not a "one and done" buyer. I plan on collecting several more over time. It just won't be here. Their loss. read more

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. The range is well maintained. Overall, I had a very positive shooting experience here and definitely plan to return. As with any range, I would recommend buying your target ammo at Wal-Mart or another store rather than at the range. They do have a pretty nice selection of higher-end ammo that would be great for personal carry weapons. read more

I have used their range a couple times now. Had a couple issues also with my hardware that they were able to resolve with a most helpful attitude. 10th range visit will be free. Cost of range ammo and targets is reasonable. The floor has been busy but the wait time so far reasonable. Works for me. read more

The staff was friendly and helpful with us each time we have been. It is a small range so you have to get there at a good time otherwise you will be waiting a while. The prices for range time are reasonable. There is no pressure to rent from them or any of that. The range is very easy to use and most everyone in there the times we went seemed to be doing what they were supposed to regarding gun safety and picking up after themselves. There is a good selection of decently priced guns for sale there as well. Will definitely be back to this one. read more

Range is decent kinda small but for target practice it is good. The staff is very knowledgeable but my experience with them all was very unpleasant. They where extremely arrogant and had these know it all attitudes. I wouldn't recommend this place if your new to guns as I am but if your not gonna ask questions to the staff then this location isn't that bad. Note to the staff members: check your attitudes most people are gonna ask you questions you've heard a million times before, be patient with us the beginners you'll get a lot further with kindness and patience. A little smile here and there wouldn't hurt either geez I felt like I was talking to a wall when I was there. read more

So I went to this location yesterday. I took a online firearm training course. After the course the instructor must see a video of you with your Driver's License and then you shooting the firearm. When I went to shoot I had to rent one of their firearm's, so they then take your Driver's License until your done shooting. When my son and I went into the area to start shooting I asked the instructor at Oak Ridge if I could get my Driver's License back really quick so I could record a video of me shooting. He said he could not do that. I told he can have it back. I only needed it for recording so I can prove I shot the firearm for my firearm training class. The guy was not happy with that at all. He told me what I was trying to do is a conflict of interest and this has been happening a lot and is not tolerated being that they offer a firearm concealed weapons class. I said ok and my son and I continued to listen as he gave us instructions. After that my son wanted to shoot first so I started recording him shooting, once he was done. The guy turned around and asked me to step out with him. When I did he went on to say he's tempted to kick us out because of the conflict of instrest. I told him, I'm just recording him. He said that I could not record at all. Mind you everyone in there with more then one person was recording each other. At that time I really wish I left and went somewhere else. Saying that he was going to kick me out as if he and I went back and forth about situation definetly took me aback. read more

Very nice! I wanted to purchase a pistol here, but they didn't have the color combination I wanted, or cared for in the SCCY CPX - 2 models. Pink is nice, just not for me .. lol .. So I found the pistol somewhere else, but came back here for the range since I've heard recommendations from friends a lot. I like that, as soon as I came in, total friendliness! Everyone wanted to chat and just talk, with the main subject being firearms. You pay when you leave, so don't just pile it on or your bill may surprise you! Staff is knowledgeable and knows their stuff. They have safety equipment to use as for eyes and ears. I went alone .. there is plenty of space in each range booth for one. I moved about never hitting either side of the wall testing out this new handgun. Prices are very reasonable compared to other places. No air ... it got hot! I sweat, so here, I was dripping. Maybe a few fans are needed near where the shooter is ... some air needs to be circulating ... other than that, I enjoyed and will be back again. read more

This place has gone down hill as they try to cater to just tourist that want to shoot a gun for their first time. On my last visit to the range when I entered the facility the two guys working had about 20 tourist gathered around them as they told stories. There was no one paying attention to the people on the range at all. The employees were just trying to be the cool guys behind the counter. This situation was a little scary to walk in to. I signed up and got on the range rather quickly as I was there to target shoot and not BS with the employees. I was assigned to a lane towards the back with one stall to the left of me. Inside the range was packed with people which was really odd as there is generally a limit of 2 people per stall at any time. The stalls are small so there is no way that you could fit anymore people in there in a safe manner. The group to the left of me was a family of tourist that had just gotten a quick lesson on how to shoot a gun (talk about light training). The family broke all of the rules of the range. 1) 4 people on the range at a time 2) People constantly running in and out of the range 3) young kids running through the range bumping in to people 4) pointing their guns in directions other then the end of the rage. I asked them to please be careful and gave them additional guidance for safe shooting. Their behavior did not improve and no one from Oak Ridge Gun Range cared what they did as long as they paid the range fees... I addressed this issue with the employees several times and finally one of the employees came in to the range to talk with them. He really didn't fix any of the issues as he only asked them to not let their children run through the range. I will never go to this range again as I was in fear of my life and the lives of the others at the range. This location has had it's issues with self inflicted gun shots and if they do not clean up their acts it will not be long before something happens again. I really hope they clean up their act, keep a range marshal on the range at all times, offer more training to tourist / gun renters, and keep a focus on gun safety. read more

These guys were great! I had only shot a few guns one time before my visit - and I had never been to in indoor range. These guys were GREAT! They were fun, polite, informative, happy to answer questions and maintained an amazing & friendly environment. They were all very well versed in the variety of guns they had to offer, and they were very good at making sure there was a clear understanding of all the charges, and how they were adding up each time we bought more ammo. I brought my nephew for his 18th birthday, and although he had shot guns quite a bit, this was also his first time at an indoor range. He had a really amazing time and will never forget his time there. We had a chance to shoot a 9mm, a 357, a 38, (2) different revolvers, a rifle and a shotgun. They provided ear & eye protection at no additional charge, and for the daily rental rate you can switch out which gun you are using as many times as you choose. First off, this is the most expensive gun shop you will ever visit. Google the price of what you are buying while in the store and you will be shocked. I'm talking double the prices of anywhere else. Aside from the prices, they have a very young, unprofessional staff. There are better ones in the area, you won't regret passing on this place. read more

I was contacted by the owner of the range and he apologized for his gunsmith's actions/lack of action. All in all it felt like lip service, and no other compensation was offered (or expected). Fortunately, a nationally respected gunsmith offered to repair the damage free of charge after hearing of my experience. It's unfortunate that oak ridge gun range didn't offer the same. read more

Went to this business on 1/28/2018, and had the most shocking experience one can expect both from a safety standpoint, and a customer service standpoint. The short version of the story as to save myself from writing too much is as follows: I went there with 2 other guys to enjoy a quick hour or so of shooting. We shared one gun, and one station for about half an hour when the folks next to us accidentally shot a shotgun (that's right, a shotgun) to the divider between their station and mine. Thankfully no one was hurt as there were at least 2 children in the range when this occurred. With that, we were done. The folks who let off the shot left first, and we left shortly afterwards. When we went to pay for our time, I advised the store employee about the incident, and expressed how concerned I was with the situation that occurred. That employee went to another employee to ask for the paperwork for those individuals to ensure they were not allowed in again. That seemed like the appropriate thing to do however, the employees seemed to find the incident comical. I couldn't take the smirks on their faces much, so I went back to the second employee and reiterated what my concern was. I advised him that I did not think it was comical, and that they should take these things more seriously. At that point, a third employee interjected and said "if you were that concerned, why didn't you tell us the minute it happened?". To that I responded that I was not going to file a complaint while the individuals were still there so as not to put my life in danger. After all, these guys were carrying guns and I didn't feel it was my responsibility to inform the staff about what is occurring in their place of business. The third employee then got into a shouting match with all 3 of us telling us we were wrong. He said they were too busy to be monitoring the cameras, and that we should have said something immediately to them. Clearly they were not in agreement that my life is more important to me than telling them what had happened at the exact moment it did. The shouting match lasted an easy 15 minutes, and they never got it. Here is my concern. THERE WERE KIDS IN THERE!!! THEY WERE SHOOTING A SHOTGUN!!! Whether it was a mistake, or not, it is irrelevant. Anyone should expect that this incident be taken seriously when reported. Had the guy not had a smirk on his face when I first reported the incident, their response would have been fine. Ban the individuals from coming there again, and end of story. Secondly, exhibit some professionalism. This is a place of business, and a customer is a customer. If I was expressing concern for my safety, and the safety of others, you have an obligation to take it seriously. At the end of the day, I will never go there again, and the $115 I spent there are gone. It would have been a pleasant experience had it not been for the rude and unprofessional people they have working there. One last note. Why would there be guns, semi automatics, and shotguns being shot in the same space. Wouldn't it make sense to separate the guns from the shotguns and semi automatics. Particularly when children are allowed in there. Just a thought... read more

I went there twice on two different Fridays and the gentlemen and lady behind the counter were very polite funny and knowledgeable. It is a small place, cozy and I did not feel intimidated with bad attitude people I have encountered in other ranges. Definitely will I go back when opportunity arises. Prices are good too read more

First time ever going to the gun range and had such a freaking great time. The wait was a little long but completely understandable because there were a lot of people. I got a chance to hold and learn about different guns while we were waiting, which helped the time go by faster. Our instructor ( I think he's name was Brad) was ridiculously helpful and informative you could tell he knew his stuff. Knowing it was our first time he even came back with us to make sure we were good and didn't accidentally shoot ourselves LOL! Had such a amazing time and laughed alot...I would so return. read more

Not a place for beginners. I took my family friends who were visiting from Scotland last week. They have never shot let alone seen a gun. I prepped them on how much I knew about guns which is probably intermediate. Upon arriving, I figured all of us would have to show ID... no. I informed them about their situation about never shooting. So I thought they would they would make them watch a safety video... no A guy gave them a less than a five minute spiel about gun safety, loading and functioning of the firearm. We also did not have to sign any type of waiver or any forms (which is extremely weird). I asked if an RSO could stay with us and he said nah you seem like you've got it. I also did not see an rso in the shooting range at all... only when someone left the room to ask for assistance. The whole situation made me a little uneasy. Any gun ranges there are risks, but this place seems like the risk of accidents are high. read more

Good customer service. Walked in with my 13 and 17 year old sons, filled out the waivers, was offered assistance if needed and vuala, on the range. Prices are good and compared to the range prices closer to the parks this place is a steal, the range has six lanes and if youre going to have more than two shooters in your lane i i suggest telling the extra person to wait outside for their turn, two many firearms being exchange between shooters in the lane if you know what i mean, they have a window you can look through at the shooters, very important they have two doors that lead to the range, as soon as youre issued your firearms, ammo, eye and ear protection, wear the ear and eye protection before u walk through the first door, reason is sometimes you have shooters right at that second door and others are walking off the lanes, if that second door opens and youre standing in the middle your ears will hate you, theyre very knowledgeable and will answer any questions you may have, also i was informed they have discounts for military and Leo on Thursdays, range officers are available upon request safety safety safety, Thanks had a great time. read more

Stay clear of this place. Over priced on there guns and they will charge you hidden fees when you buy. Went to buy a gun they had in stock. Paid for it and when the CWP check came back there was a three day hold due to issues with computers. So had to cancel the sale because I was leaving town next day. They charged me $30 re stocking fee on and gun they had in stock and I never took. They never informed me of this fee prior to the purchase. And I never took the gun. What a bunch of lies they try to tell you to cover the fee. Stay clear. Buy from another honest gun dealer. Just imagine the fees if you had a true issue. read more

The gun range: one star unless you are a coal miner. No circulation unless you count the two fans on the shelf. After I got home and blew my nose the tissue was black. If you shoot there get the3M 8210Plus Particulate Respirator N95, 20-Pack on amazon.com for $15.43, you will need one each time you shoot. The gun store: four stars. The one guy at the counter was excellent, the one was good, the one was new and the other one seemed OK. They have a large selection of guns. Gun rentals are a rip off because you have to pruchase their ammo that shot like it was black powder and coco wheats mixed together. One bullet did not fire. Ammo prices were high. read more

I recently visited Oak Ridge Gun Range while vacationing in Orlando with my 14 year old son. As shooting is a hobby of mine, I have visited many gun ranges in multiple locations across the Southeast. Although the range is small, it is well ventilated, well lit, well maintained, and well supervised. The staff was exceptionally accommodating... the owner was even nice enough to hold back a bit of (currently scarce) ammo so that my son would have something to shoot in his handgun. Although I identified myself as a "tourist"', I was never treated differently nor disrespectfully. They had lots of guns for sale and lots of gun accessories, but I didn't pay close attention to prices; hence I cannot comment factually on this. My son and I had a great time, though, and I would highly recommend the facility to anyone who enjoys shooting and who would like to spend an enjoyable day at the range. read more

As an avid shooter, I think it's safe to say I know what I'm talking about on this one. Upon arrival me and "The Bear" asked for 2 lanes. They guy at the counter said "I can't do that guys, it's a Saturday." WHAT THE HELL? Apparently if you come in with a buddy, they'll make you pair up so they have more lanes open. That way, they get more business. THAT SUCKS! If I were to go to Shoot Straight or EOSS it wouldn't be a problem. It's called waiting. These guys nickel and dime you! The waiver here is a signature on a piece of paper. Anybody could come in here and shoot....not a good feeling. After picking out some targets we headed to the range. Inside, there is NO sound insulation. It's like shooting in a tin can! The Bear was here earlier and warned me about it saying that I should bring my own hearing protection because theirs was sub-par. Thank God I did. The crowd inside was a little sketchy. You could tell they were new to the sport but were trying to do IPSC/IDPA like drills such as quickly popping a magazine from the lane table and getting two shots in (which they were unable to do). The range officer was non-existent. He only came in if someone had a problem. They also expect YOU to clean up your brass with a broom and dustpan. The bucket they have says "Brass Only". For target practice, I use steel. I threw it in anyway, they could sort it out.... After an extended shooting session due to having to share (2hrs!) I finished first. I went to pay my part of the bill and the guy at the counter made me wait until The Bear was done as he "couldn't close it out." Being that I had to wait for another 20 minutes I took a look at the selection of firearms. It was very nice but on the high side. A .45 XDM with a 3.8in barrel in bitone was $770. I went to the gun show and bought that same gun for $630. After finally checking out, I was glad to get out of there. If your waiting, prepare to stand as they have limited seating. Overall, if your looking for a different place to shoot you could try this place out but beware BRING YOUR OWN EAR PROTECTION! If your in a group, keep it small as you'll be crammed with 3-4 guys. If they change their business practice, I'd give them a higher rating. read more

I stopped by for the third time today and the third time was not a charm just like the first two time. For the third time I was not greeted nor was I asked if I needed any help or if I would like to see anything. I studied their guns and prices; they have a mediocre selection of middle of the road quality guns with Glock being the best line they carry (and I like Glock, I own three). Not only is the selection limited, the prices are high. For instance, I picked up a brand new in the box Glock 19 Gen 4 at Shoot Straight last week for $550. This place didn't even have a Glock 19 Gen 4 but did have an older model that was priced at $699. Really? I looked at some of the AR 15's and found those to be overpriced as well. I'd say most of the guns are overpriced by about $100 to $200 depending on the make and model. So then I started pricing the Galco holsters and found they are overpriced by $15 to $20. Unless you've got money to burn, don't shop for a gun here. Other shops in town including the big box store have a much friendlier staff and better prices. What a waste of time. read more

I found that the staff at OAK RIDGE GUN RANGE are extremely rude people who have no sense of customer service I do not recommend this place to anyone , also their prices are high and the range is small with only 7 lanes and they allow many people in that small space.... but most of all I was disappointed by the unprofessional treatment received. If you don't take advantage of the free range time that's your fault. Enjoy spending time shooting and talking with the staff. If your serious about firearms a good place to go.
