We ate here today and it was excellent! We liked the location, we loved the look inside- it was clean and cute. The workers were friendly and had great customer service. The food was great! We got the Eggs Nicole- scrambled eggs with mushroom and spinach, on top of an open croissant, topped with hollandaise sauce. It came with grated potato pancakes that were served with a delicious cinnamon apple sauce and sour cream, which I have never had before and it was amazing! We also got the Porridge, which came with assorted berries, like blueberries, strawberries, and green apple slices. It came with cream and brown sugar on the side which made a perfectly smooth and sweet mix for the oatmeal. The wait for my wife and I was about 25 minutes which is fine since it was my first time to this place. It was so packed with people so it must be good, "I thought". After we got seated it took about 30 minutes before we had any service. The only reason we got service was because we had to flag someone down to take our order. It was like they forgot about us. After they took our orders we saw that people who were sat after us were all getting their orders before us and they had big groups. The food was not worth the wait. I did mention that we should have just gone somewhere else. I got the FRENCH TOAST BREAKFAST and it tasted like metal. It was not good. I only ate it because I was hungry after the long wait and I knew it was going to be a while if I had ordered something else. Hopefully next time I can take back what I have said in this review. read more

So I'm about to take a Jab at this community backed establishment out in Silverdale. It has an ideal location, tucked away on top of a scenic corner (if a view of commercial and residential view is your thing) and near a busy location. Locals boasts on how great the food and service here. Not to mention the wait times and the restricted hours. It must be special then... well I don't know yet. Here's my ten cents on this: I've always been critical of breakfast establishments. I want consistency, quality,quantity, attentiveness and promptness. I don't go out to breakfast full or fully awake - it completely defeats the purpose. I go out to eat so that I don't have to do it myself. Capisce? On a busy weekday morning, I had an opportunity to visit and surprisingly I was able to get seated in less than 10 minutes. The reception guided me to my seat and my server shortly introduced herself. It was a quick interaction with me sipping coffee in less than three minutes. They had the standard breakfast option and with added European specialties that had ladies behind me go ooh and ahh. Whatever - the ultimate test is the quiche. Anybody can make a waffle, fry or scramble an egg and slap on meat in a skillet. Quiches are a delicate masterpieces. It starts off with the crust and followed by a careful marriage of proteins. So far, they did not disappoint but it definitely wasn't delicate. The crust was thick, not flakey and very 'rough'. What saved the experience is their cheese, egg, protein ensemble. It was light, fluffy and flavorful. It has its own personality of flavors that makes you want to devour. The serving size was plentiful and I urge you to get a side of fruit. Its definitely savory and you would have to balance it out with something.. a palate cleanser. Over-all, it's more of a treat rather than a daily or a weekly trip. Its quite expensive and I haven't been here as much to gauge their consistency but it certainly does take time for them to get things rolling since it seems like everything was made from scratch. This for me is a four star establishment but the crust cost them one star. I understand the rave but I'm not all about that bandwagon. My recommendation, aid with parking by adding more disabled parking spots. There are, by far, more elderly people visiting and its not a pretty sight seeing an elderly couple climb uphill because they couldn't find parking near your establishment. Food-wise, please be more gentle with certain dishes. Your crepes were on-point but somehow it became unfrench-like when it came to the quiche. read more

I absolutely love this place. I'm not from the area but while visiting my husband up here we decided to check this place out. The first time i had it i fell in loveeee with the eggs Benedict, they were the best I've had in my entire life. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was SO good. The service was excellent as well. It took a while to get seated but it was to be expect because it was Sunday afternoon. The lemonade was also super good and their freshly squeezed orange juice! The only reason why I'm giving it 4 stars is because i loved the place so much that we decided to go the weekend after, but that time wasn't as great. They were seating people who had gotten there after me and had us waiting outside in the heat for a very long time until we asked how much longer it was gonna take, we got seated right away. Afterwards of course i ordered my eggs Benedict, hoping they were as good as the last time but unfortunately they weren't. The muffin under the ham was extremely chewy and very difficult to cut through and the eggs were also a bit more watery. They were still okay and i knew they were busy so just ate them how they were. Overall was disappointed in the savory dishes. The eggs Benedict had good Canadian bacon, but the sauce and potato pancakes were not flavorful. Could have used some fresh chives or parsley, and also I had to ask for hot sauce. The greyhound cocktail used fresh grapefruit juice but was quite weak. The bacon was promised to be out if this world but was so so. Still not sure what was up with the espresso drinks served in large glass mugs?! We love the Oak Table! A little expensive and HUGE portions (take home extra for another meal) but the food is delicious. Staff is very friendly. Always a line to get in but worth it. My husband is disappointed that they took the waffle off the menu a couple of years ago since that was his favorite but we always manage to find something good to eat there. Kitsap County doesn't have too many really good places to go that serve outstanding food--this is one of them when it comes to breakfast and lunch. read more

The Oak table serves breakfast all day. There is also a lunch menu available after 11 (check website for changes). The omelets, bacon, and pancakes are excellent. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the waffles, while super tasty, are surprising small. I ordered the waffle with apple and cinnamon and it was EXCELLENT, but it was about the size of a pancake and it cost as much as a stack of pancakes. I left the table starving while my husband had an omelet that came with three small pancakes and left the table stuffed for about the same price. Other than that, everything was great. read more

One thing I absolutely love about this restaurant is how happy of an atmosphere it is. We always end up coming during the very busiest times - today, Sunday at 10am, yet everyone from the owner to the cashiers were smiling and cheerful. It's always insanely busy and I never see the stress of it. I appreciate that the owner staffs his restaurant appropriately so his servers can take the time they need to provide the exceptional service that has become a standard for the oak table. We opted to order our breakfast to go today to avoid the 40 minute wait, and they were and always are very accommodating. We love the apple pancakes and I'm also partial to the porridge. I do kinda wish they didn't sing happy birthday to people, lol. I think it's annoying and not reflective of the caliber of restaurant it is. I would give them 6 stars if I could. read more

Since we've had such horrible experiences here I was very reluctant to give them another shot but my husband wanted to. We compromised and decided we would place an order for pickup. I was told the order would take 15 mins it took almost a hour from when I placed the order until I walked out with food. Almost $40 for 2 thick slices of French toast, a couple pieces of bacon and 4 measly sausage links. I was waiting in a standing room only lobby where people were consistently being told it was a 25 minute wait although others kept complaining that they were told the same thing but had been waiting 45 minutes. I could see into the kitchen area from the lobby and saw several waitresses eating while grabbing other people's food to serve. Side note I think it's also very strange that they all wear dresses. It's been over a year since we've gotten food from here and it will probably be several more before we try it again. read more

I spoke to the owner in Sequim last year and he said to come back on Veterans Day and they will take care of the vets. I didn't go back last year but I called this morning on Veterans Day 2015, and they said they are giving away free coffee. FOR REAL! In this town, no military discount and on Veterans Day you are showing us your appreciation with a free cup of coffee. Laughing Historically. 3. The wait is insane. Decided to try The Oak Table Cafe on a whim with my husband, and we were blown away. Their freshly squeezed orange & grapefruit juice is amazing. We were so anxious to get our food and after watching everyone around us get theirs. Everything looked incredible, and ours definitely did not disappoint! My husband got the apple pancake (which is huge by the way), and I got the fruit blintzes. Both were delicious, along with the side of bacon and breakfast potatoes we got. On top of the food, the service was excellent. When we got there the inside waiting room was packed and people were also waiting outside. We were told 20-25 minutes but they got us in closer to around 15. Despite being so busy, they got us our food quickly and we didn't even have to ask for refills. We stopped by this place after "yelping" for a breakfast spot on the way to the airport from Port Angeles. I'm sooooo glad I found it and we went. We were a little confused on the drive up to it, but followed the directions and they led us correctly. It's kind of in the back of a parking lot, set up on a hill. The portions are amazing and the food is so perfect! Great breakfast options here. Better than even my hometown spots. The coffee was really good too and we purchased a bag to go from their little in house store. This was the perfect place to grab a bite before jumping on our plan back home, so glad we ate here and not at the airport! It was perfect and definitely worth it! read more

So, so good. We've been here a few times now and have never been disappointed. The first time, I came with a friend and ordered the apple pancake - it is HUGE! Really yummy, but not my favorite. It's cooked soufflé style and it's definitely not pancake consistency which is what I was craving. I can definitely see why people love it though. I've come with my family as well. My husband ordered the Eggs Casey and it is seriously delicious. I had the french toast breakfast with bacon and it was absolutely perfect. Our water was always full, coffee always warm and their orange juice is wonderful. This is HIGH END breakfast, so I wouldn't recommend coming here if you don't wanna spend a little more than your average morning meal. It is worth the money!
