This is more than a shoutout... it is a full-on, well deserved tribute to Sully's Bistro in Suquamish. This review will be a bit long, but I feel it's important to acknowledge when businesses go well above and beyond... into orbit in this case. Not only did they work to exceed expectations, but to set the ultimate standard for customer service and to demonstrate a commitment to caring for people beyond the customer-business relationship. This post is also a message both as an endorsement for diners, but also an advisory to every other business in this county. Take note - this is a roadmap for how you win forever customers: Last Saturday, my daughter got married in Poulsbo, in a ceremony that involved guests from Alaska, California, and Colorado. On the Sunday morning afterward, my wife Gayle and I threw a brunch celebration for our out of town guests as a thank you for making the journey for our daughter's special day. We made the reservation back in February in order to ensure they would have room for 20+ guests. At some point between then and now, Sully's decided to stop serving brunch. We didn't need to be their problem. It would have been easy to call or email us and let us know that our plans would have to change... with sincere apologies and an explanation as to why - blah blah blah, and with enough notice to get a reservation elsewhere, maybe. They didn't. In fact, they didn't even tell us they'd stopped brunch service. Some of our guests were calling us and asking: "Hey, Google says they're closed. Are you sure about this?" We didn't know, but figured we'd show up and find out. Instead, Sully's made sure to have enough staff a few hours early on Sunday, enough food, broke out the old brunch recipe book and dusted it off, and cleared the patio and set it up. All of that work just to ensure our guests had brunch. And a fabulous time. This was solely for our benefit. They weren't going to make a lot of money on just our party. Truth be told, they might have even lost some on it. They could have just shrugged us off. But they honored their commitment, even though it was a hassle, and a lot of extra work. Even though it meant knowing they'd have to special order food just for us, even though it meant more expense. And - not to belabor the point - they trusted US to honor *our* agreement to come. They hadn't taken a deposit. We could have ghosted them, especially if we'd believed Google's page saying they were closed. After all, we were strangers to them. But they treated us like family. And then... ...they crushed it with the food, the drinks, the service. They setup a special U-shaped table, complete with linens and flowers, and showcased a view of the Duwamish Sea that is unmatched in Kitsap County dining. I'd list all the food items and give a review - each one a culinary gem. But that would be cruel. I'd be bragging about food we had that won't be available to the community at large again (unless they bring back brunch... pretty please). No, what I wanted to call out was how deeply touched my wife and I were at their willingness to honor their promise, our reservation, and then go the extra mile to make it special. They didn't have to. But they did. And our guests were incredibly impressed, both with the food and the service. Thank you, with our whole heart, to the people of Sully's... from the owner on down to the staff. You made our day so very special. And while they may not serve brunch anymore... I urge you to go there for lunch or dinner. Support a restaurant that demonstrates loves for its community through its actions, not just words or fancy FB posts. And get the wings! There was a good variety of seafood. Our server was very nice. We were seated in an outdoor covered area. They had it heated nicely and it was a cold rainy day. The buffalo wings were ok. The ones we had were pretty fatty so I wouldn't get them again. The flavor was your typical buffalo sauce. I liked it. The chowder was delicious! I'd get that again for sure. I ordered the cioppino. I loved it! Good amount of clams and shrimp. The fish was a little overcooked but tasted great in the broth. My husband got a turkey cheddar bacon melt, and fries. Went back for a second visit while in Washington. Had a great experience the first time. We have family that live near this place and it never disappoints. It's on the water with great views. The food once again was very good and vey nicely plated. The service has always been good. They have good specials and a good variety of dishes on the menu. Waitstaff was amazing, friendly, and prompt with our order. We were able to sit outside on the bar and look out at Mount Rainier on a beautiful, sunny Thursday afternoon. We order the calamari and the crab cakes. Both were fresh, plentiful, and delicious. The garlic aioli that was served with the crab cakes was creamy and tangy. The wide selection of beer was great for my husband, and I enjoyed 2 freshly crafted margaritas. As out-of-town visitors here for our niece's wedding, it is a place we will visit again if in the area. You will not be disappointed! read more

Overall my friend and I had pleasant lunch at Sully's today. My crabcakes and her hot honey chicken sandwich were very good. My garlic bread seemed like it was sprinkled with only a bit of garlic salt, so had almost zero garlic flavor. I tried the chocolate lava cake for dessert, and it was sort of gluey. I wouldn't order the garlic bread or the lava cake again. Our waitress was generally good, although I requested water without ice when we first sat down, and she forgot to bring it until I was nearly done with my meal. The atmosphere was casual; there was a lovely view but I was seated with my back to it, so I couldn't enjoy it. It would have been nicer if the patio tables were sideways so both parties could enjoy the view. read more

Highly looking forward to coming here with seeing all the pictures online. We were seated right away in the overflow section, which was a covered seated area. Surprisingly it was very warm in there. Our server was nice. We ordered a variety of different dishes starting off with clam chowder and wings. The clam chowder was extremely good and the highlight of our meal. The wings were oversized but unfortunately really fatty. Not much meat on them and I wouldn't get them again. I ordered a turkey cheddar bacon melt, which was extremely dry and lacked flavor. There was no sauce and if it did have it on there, it was very little. Would not recommend. My wife ordered cioppino and she was happy with that. First timers at Sully's. Excellent experience from the friendly, attentive and helpful wait staff (sorry, don't remember her name) to the delicious food. I had the Big Fat Rib Eye which was the best steak I can remember having in a very long time. It was tender, tasty and cooked to perfection, accompanied by perfectly cooked baked potato and broccolini. My friend had the Fish &Chips (Cod) and she said it was the best she's ever had, and she knows her Fish & Chips. The batter was the perfect thickness and the Cod was of ample size. We have hear time and again that this Bisto was like "Cheers" and we were eager to try it. They have a post where they have a different theme for each day, and although we missed "taco "Tuesday, we still enjoyed our meal. We started with a Manny's beer, and Moscow mules. The house salad and balsamic was great (although a neighboring table had the Cobb which really caught my attention) We went with the two piece fish and chips (coleslaw/tartar and fries) a mushroom burger with fries. This was a delightful stop after a day trip on Bainbridge. We were fortunate to be able to move to a table on the covered patio which allowed for such great natural light and views of the water. The service was friendly and prompt and my spouse and I enjoyed our draft beer and cider. We were amazed at the ample portions! The steamers were so fresh and plentiful, the fried oysters were great, and I loved their house salad as well with freshly ground pepper. The clam chowders were so good and were loaded with clams (the children liked this version so much better than the one they tried recently at Salty's). My husband enjoyed his fish taco as well. My wife and I stopped into Sully's for lunch while playing on Bainbridge. Free parking can be found on the street. Discover is an accepted form of payment. G Pay is also a form of payment. A 20% gratuity is added to parties of 6+. Sully's offers indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoors is where you want to be to enjoy the beautiful water view while dining. Indoors is where you want to be if you want to watch TV. Sully's has a nice selection of local craft draft beer, as well as wine and a full bar. While enjoying the view my wife slurped on a Manny's and I a 7 Seas IPA for $7 each. We started our lunch by sharing a cup of Clam Chowder for $6.50. We were both disappointed in the Clam Chowder. It was bland and on the thin side. For our lunch we shared the 2-piece Fish (Halibut) & Chips for $25. The fish was hot and crispy of the outside and sweet and flaky on the inside. The shoestring fries were a nice change from hand-cut fries. The coleslaw was creamy and refreshing on a summer afternoon. Service was friendly and efficient. Overall, if you're looking for luxurious dining, Sully's is not the place. If you're looking for good food with a dazzling view then Sully's is the correct place. Really enjoyed lunch here with friends. Quick and friendly service with a smile. Drinks and food was delicious. For appetizers, we had crab cakes, onion rings, and Calamari. They were all excellent. I got chili with cheese without onions. I think it needed a little more cheese. A tuna melt with potato salad. The melt was a little too hot. After it cooled off, it was good. I was warned that the tuna salad had onions, and I said that would be ok. I didn't notice any of them, which was nice. I'm not allergic to them, I just hate when it's raw most of the time. It has to be fried, caramelized, cooked in something, etc. Got pineapple upside down cake for dessert. It was very good. The service was great. The ambiance was ok. A little too dark, though. I've had the hamburger, chili, cioppino, Chowder & fried oysters all have been excellent. The oysters were briny and fresh, and the cioppino was tasty and spicy with excellent, fresh seafood. I love spicy so if you're spicy challenged you may want to make sure the cioppino is tamed for you. There was live music which was fun to experience the energy of this place, and there was also a baseball game on where some of the customers got really... passionate. Stumbled upon Sully's - Was the best stumble as I fell in love with the food - atmosphere - view - staff and the small establishment on the corner. I am a NE girl first and foremost I grew up with fresh seafood as I was attracted to fisherman - lobsterman ocean ma enough of that but when I say fresh I do mean it. Any who my mission for the last 8 years has been to find a fish n chips I can sink my teeth into. The batter has to be great and rise above the fish just so - #sullynailedit. That's right I am a professional and I can say the fish was fresh perfectly cooked - the cole slaw was on point with shoe string fries. My daughter and I split a fish n chips 3 piece. They were pretty busy during a Mariners' game. Fortunately we found a table on yhe patio and enjoy the sun :) Good vibes and family atmosphere. We ordered coconut prawns which were very good by the way! A burger which was good and a sandwich. Noyhing espectacular but I would come back. Staff was busy but always patient and with good vibes, friendly, and fun. We parked right outside with no problem. I think there's a park near so various spots but lots of them were used. It is very apparent that there is some attention to detail when eating at Sully's. Here's my opinion of my first visit 1. Service- everyone was very attentive to any needs I might have had, and the food was prepared very quickly. 2. Location- located near what looks to be a park and a small dock for mooring up too. 3. Food- It was ok. Unfortunately, I was not able to order the Halibut for my fish and chips, but I don't think it would have mattered. The batter was nicely made but lacked flavor. The fish wasn't very flavorful either, but what can be done when it is cod? 4. Drink- There seemed to be many options, but I went with a local beer hoping it was the freshest. Sadly my beer was either old or the lines needed to be cleaned. I decided not to finish it. All in all, it wasn't a bad experience. The delivery of the food was on nice plates, and the attentiveness of the staff was very impressive. The inside of the restaurant was clean from what I can tell, and the tables and floors looked to be well taken care of. I would come here again probably for a lunch break. Hopefully, they'll have some Cod or another interesting option. read more

Although I live very close to here driving to this restaurant is a chore. But I am so happy to say WORTH it!!!! The inside leaves something to be desired as the first thing you see is the bar. It's gives it a divey feel. It was also dark due to low ceilings. But then you go outside and BAM! There it is. Beautiful view of the puget sound. I'm always in the look out for "the best" of everything. And Fish and Chips are a staple. Absolutely delicious fish and chips! With a perfect amount of tasty tarter sauce on the side. I loved the coleslaw but my bf said it's too sweet. My daughter got the fish taco and it didn't come with anything else. It's large but for a hungry teen it was not enough food. She ended up eating my fries and a half a piece of fish. The service was friendly and prompt. They for sure have it down ! Bravo.
