See my review under Boulder Oaks Golf. (I didn't realize there was a separate page). This restaurant/clubhouse/bar is a disaster.

There is a nice indoor/outdoor vibe as there are some really big glass garage type windows that open (or close). The service has always been very prompt and friendly. I keep going back to their pizza's as they are quite good. I also suggest checking the special of the day as they usually have some pretty cool ones. They also have beer! Quite a few to be honest and if you aren't sure they are great at helping you figure out what works for you. For good food served by nice people in a clean and modern environment, this is the place!

First off, Im 100% sure the owner here uses ChatGPT to answer all negative yelp reviews. Any business owner worth their weight is able to think for themselves and use their brain to answer unless they're completely illiterate or too incompetent to think of a good response. Second off, are they even a brewery? I see cans and taps of their own beer, but looking into the business, I dont think they own a brewery at all. This is more along the lines of a taphouse/pub. THAT BEING SAID, the food is quite nice. I think the pizza is great and it feels like they make and roll their own dough which is respectable and ambitious for a random little spot like this. But It is quiet...too quiet. The beer tender would constantly hangout at the handicap table talking to any co-worker with free time on their hands for a long time. Seems like a cushy job honestly. I'm assuming they would hold conversation with customers, but unfortunately There were no customers... its a ghost town, and i left thinking, "This place is creepy." I'll just pick up and eat the pizza at home next time. I'm waiting to see what generic CHATGPT response the owner gives me.

The only con is that it is a little bit pricey in my opinion, but I have found it to be worth it. Another pro is I love that they have outdoor seating, and I can bring my dog. They also have TVs for sporting events that they show. It's also kind of a bonus that it's across from the bowling alley! Solid place, always recommend.

Since it was our first time, we went inside to order our mains first and then easily added dessert later using the table QR code. The outdoor seating is great! It was nice and sunny, though it did get a bit chilly later on, so definitely bring a jacket just in case. The "Crappy Meal" from the HH menu comes with a beer can and it was delicious. The Anaconda Bar from the dessert menu was incredible. It's like a seriously elevated Klondike bar. Their entire menu looks incredibly intriguing. I'll definitely be back to try more items, especially their June specials like the Pineapple Express Burger and the Spam Musubi Fries!

If you're going to burger and fry it, this is the way! Price is a little up there, but your taste buds will understand why. The beef tallow fries were sooooo good. Crispy edges, fluffy center, ACTUAL potato. The garlic fries had bold fresh garlic and are cooked in avocado oil, but leaned a little soggy. Shockingly, I preferred the classic tallow fries. Husband and I split two doubles. The Garlic Mushroom Burger was juicy, savory, and loaded with mushrooms, pickles, American cheese, and garlic spread. The Flamin Smash had jalapeño, pickles, American cheese, and chipotle spread. Big flavor, gentle kick, & hella satisfying. Washed it all down with the Cucumber Lemonade that's sweetened with agave syrup. Not too sweet! I didn't catch the cashier's name, but he was super friendly and helpful. Cozy, clean spot with a patio on the side for extra seating. Service was crazy fast. This place is a bit far from me and I am already planning the drive back! That's how you know it smash-ed!

Pros: This spot is a good place to hang out if you're looking for a casual bar with activities like billiards and darts. The vibe is fun without being overly packed, which made it easy to enjoy the space. They have darts (which are free, you just leave your ID), a pool table, and a music queue system where you can pick songs to play, which adds an interactive element to the night. I didn't try the food but the drinks were solid and did not disappoint. The overall energy of the place was welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. It's one of those spots where you can relax, hang out, and have a good time. Cons: Parking here is probably the biggest downside. The lot is really small and gets packed quickly, so I wouldn't recommend relying on it. We parked nearby after eating at Copper Kings Burgers and just walked over, which ended up being way easier. Verdict: If you're looking for a fun, chill bar in San Marcos with games, music, and good drinks, this is a great spot to check out. Just plan ahead for parking, but overall it's definitely worth it and I would come back again!

But I can't tell if most people were just in the bar area - we were able to get a booth! The place was nice and loud since every one was having a good time. Several parties of 3+ and I saw 1 party of 6. They were doing an explorer menu from Yucatan. Interesting thing to do during Black History Month - I won't lie. I was surprised to see it. But we ordered from that menu. We ordered the fried plantain that came with a sauce and cilantro, sausage and pepper soup, and the BBQ pork. I enjoyed everything except for the plantain. They were basically a huge disc that was slightly crunchy. I was not expecting that since if I want a crunchy plantain, I will eat actual plantain chips. The soup was fantastic! It was a bit spicy but not overwhelming and full of flavor. Wish I ordered a bowl instead of a cup. And last but not least, the BBQ pork was very good. Served on lettuce as well, so if you are doing keto you can omit eating the tortillas that came with the dish. It also had pickled red onions and a salsa. The salsa was mild and with everything in the taco, flavors were balanced. We also ordered 6 Cajun wings. But today, they didn't seem as flavorful, a pity really. A grilled cheese was ordered but with hamburger meat inside. That seemed good and it came with fries. Washed all of this down with a sour that was called Boozy Berry & my fiancé had a West Coast beer. Food was enjoyable, atmosphere was fun. We will be back again.

I ordered a junior shack burger which was just 1 smash burger patty instead of their standard 2. Brgr Shack has almost perfected the smashed burger grilling and I appreciate the unique style of giving you a selection of variations of a the Brgr to choose from. 1) Shack Brgr: very tasty and the grilled onions was a nice addition. The Maillard reaction still produced a very juice Brgr with a soft tasty bun. The juices soaked into the bottom bun making it a soggy mess. A little salty, but, good. 2) Mushroom & Swiss Brgr: wife ordered this, but, got full on the Beef Loaded Fries (more on that later). Yet, she brought it home and reheated in microwave and she loved it!!! The Brgr reheated well. She said it was still juicy and well seasoned. Must have been good because she ate the whole thing!!! 3) Beef Loaded Fries: well, my wife also loved this and ate half at the Shack. The fries are thick chips, topped with crumbled Brgr, grilled onions, cheese and pickles. This was a favorite for us. The meal was good and filling. Something happened with the order and the kitchen didn't get the order slip. Had to go up and asked and the cook profusely apologized for the mixup. He quickly put our order together in a little over 5 minutes and the counter person also apologized for the inconvenience. Brgr Shack comped an order of plain fries which turned out well because we used those chips to scoop the toppings of the Beef Loaded Fries. The fries underneath got soggy quick. And there was no forks to be found. Stars subtracted for lost order and no forks. Will try again of course. The dining room was clean with ample tables and chairs. They have a wall full of studio quality pictures of the menu items. There is lots of parking in an older (the surface of the parking lot were full of cracks and pot holes) strip mall. Definitely a return visit call!!! Returning on a Wednesday to take advantage of the Crazy Cow 50% Discount on 2nd Brgr. Yes!!!
