They serve you generous samples and welcome you in to their process with warm vigor. That is how you do business. Go out of your way to take care of people and guide them, the tips and significant repeat business and word of mouth will follow. The price is unbelievable. Food carts out front every single day. The place was basically full at 4:30p on a weeknight. Can't imagine what kind of mob of people are here during prime time. Also really generous pricing on to go growlers. I tried lime Kolsch, cucumber berlinerweisse, double red (ride your bike), and will be getting the $8 IPA growler special and a 22oz amber. They had a speech from the makers of their release of the day, Parks and Rec, a double IPA Vermont style. This the best double IPA I've ever had (free sample). I usually can't stand it. They release a new idea every single Tuesday. Eugene is a very unique place that seems to be booming with culture and vital human honesty. In summary, this is beer Mecca in the bike Mecca. I like the vibe and open feeling of Oakshire on a warm summer day and the cozy intimate feeling on a rainy winter day. In the summer they open their windows and have outside tables. There's a corn hole game set up as well for those wanting to hang out for a while. There are large wooden bar tables for seating and a few normal tables to grab a spot at. Buck Buck food truck is usually out front but the food trucks rotate in and out. I love their amber ale and usually buy it by the 6 pack at local stores when I'm out. I do have to say that the times I have been in here the customer service has not been very friendly. I feel like more of a number in a line as opposed to a person and sometimes have to wait while the staff finishes their conversations before I can order. I don't let this stop me from coming here but it still bothers me. They have live music here some evenings which is fun but it can get pretty loud unless you sit outside. You have to also rely on street parking but we always find a spot. They do have kombucha for those who don't drink beer and some ciders as well. I wish this could be a 4.5. Oakshire is a neat place to hang out with friends. The bast space provides ample sitting opportunities and places to enjoy the food and brew either offered by Oakshire's extensive beer list or from whatever food trucks are parked in their outdoor seating area. The atmosphere is relaxing even when packed and makes for a great place to unwind for the day. read more

Wow Oakshire, why didn't we find you earlier before making the mistake of going to Hop Valley first. The beers were great, the scene awesome and they were cooking pizza's outside in a wood burning oven. Really like the "Watershed IPA" glasses, they are shaped like a can so we had to pick a couple up, perfect for putting a cozy around. This will definitely be our first stop in all subsequent trips from pdx to Eugene. read more

The beer here is delicious, and they have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for large groups! When the weather is nice, they have food trucks outside. There's bike parking, but it gets a little crowded. They probably ought to add more bike parking racks on the property. read more

First time to visit this place. I have had their crafted beers in my home area pubs. So it was a must visit while in Eugene. These guys are great! I was lucky enough to find them doing a promotion at a local bar in my Seattle neighborhood. Not only are Bryan and Kevin super cool, friendly guys, but they know what they're talking about. I have formally been converted to a canned beer lover after Bryan's thorough explanation of why beer in cans is wayyy better in every aspect. Aside from that, they just brew good beer. I especially loved their Watershed IPA. I hope I find their beer in more Seattle pubs very soon! read more

Blackboard is really difficult to read. I like to know what my options are, but never quite sure at Oakshire. Female servers seem unenthusiastic with female customers. Lots of enthusiastic flirting with male customers, however. The nice, open architecture and fine beer earn them 3 stars in my opinion. read more

Great beer, all the time. I love the single batch brews that you can't always get. I like the ambiance as well. I like the idea of sitting at a long bar table with people you don't know, but have beer in common with each other. It gets loud though, and a little sound deadening would be nice. The art on the walls is often weird and I wonder who is buying it, but that adds to the eclectic charm. You can sit inside or outside, which is nice. No food, but they have rotating food trucks. I've had a lot of good food here. And there is often music, but I've never figured out how to know if there's going to be music or not. Oh well, I like good surprises. The staff is friendly and courteous and will let you try anything you want before you commit. Please order at the order counter, under the sign that says "Order Here". People often will mull around the bar and don't go get in the line, making it a cluster *&^%*@ and resulting in complaints that somebody waited a long time and someone cut in front of them, when they weren't actually following directions. read more

Went in today to get a corny fill. I have a 2.5 gallon keg. A corny fill is for 5 gallons. I asked for the keg prices from the bartender up front and they rambled through the explainations without clarity. Went to the keg filing stations and confirmed a $50.00 5 gallon fill would be $25.00 to fill my 2.5 gallon keg with the keg filling attendant and a manager. Left the keg to be filled at the station and went to the bar and ordered at pint and got rung up. Voiced "2.5 gal O dark 30 fill and the pint" before being rung up. The bartender rang me up for $49.50. Voiced that the price should have been $31.00 and didn't sign. Bartender tries to run the card again but is only got $28.60 on it from the previous auth posted. I paid with a visa prepaid non-reloadable card. This means that once a credit authorization is initiated, it cannot be cancelled as it immediately posts to the card. The card specifically states non reloadable and that credit and debit authorizations post immeadiately. Called visa waited 15 minutes, got through to a rep who stated the above. Went back to the bar to show the bartender to show them the balance and the fine print on the card. No bartender for 10 minutes. Customers come in and form a line. Keg filler attendant comes over to resolve the issue. They can't find the receipt from the original auth. WHY? Because the bartender threw it out after I voiced the price dispute. Careless. Keg fill attendant says the auth was voided and that I need to pay. I already paid + excess. Manager steps in to serve customers, but never offers to help me. Bartender missing for 15 min that threw out receipt finally shows up and starts digging through the trash for receipt. Keg attended the grabs card info my name and phone number and says someone will get in touch with me, eventually, no eta provided. Bartender going through trash blames the halo/micros terminal for the wrong price. Walks away. Never apologizes. Go back to warm beer. Place it on the bar, never sipped it, exit. Oakshire get your keg prices straight for all employees, update the pricing on you terminals regularly and management should step in if there is a issue. Also, if someone voices a dispute with a receipt - maybe don't throw it in the trash, so I have to watch you digging it out later giving me a dirty look. Will update when this is resolved. Avoid paying with visa prepaid cards and make you sure confirm with the bartender what the total should be - because they wont. You could have just given me the difference in cash, due to multiple failures on your part, but everyone there seemed too incompetent and busy filling pints to care. Enjoy your review, you've earned it. As of December 6, 2016, have not been contacted to resolve this issue. read more

Oakshire is easily my favorite brewery and public house in Eugene. They have a variety of beers so there's always something for everyone in your group (they offer 2 Towns Cider and red/white wines if beer isn't your thing) It's also a nice place to grab a beer and read when you're solo. Great environment, friendly staff and even better beer. 10/10 recommend. read more

Mmmm Overcast Espresso Stout. It's so tasty. I rarely get beyond this beer because it's shockingly boozy. The tasting room is very fun. When I say that, I mean that it's loud and busy and a place people like to go to mill around and chat-including me. read more

CAUTION! Creative artist at work here. This is not the same-ol-same tap house. Although some of their beers are not to my personal taste, I applaud their creativity and devotion to their craft. However, Perfect Storm & Ride Your Bike ARE two of my all time favorite beers. Great spot for the drinking of beer. Fresh, cold, tasty beer. I was able to have the "Very ill tempered gnome barrel aged" and it was as delicious as it sounds. The setup is great as you can be either inside or outside and it still feels open and spacious. Really nice atmosphere to enjoy a delicous Oakshire beer. Very airy space. The night I was here there was a cart making great wood-fired pizza. Oakshire's Line Dry Rye is perhaps my favorite summer beer. Only unpositive observation I have is that Oakshire doesn't make that many beers, so the options available to you are somewhat limited. Otherwise, great place that i look forward to returning to. read more

I really like to bike over to this place. Very close to the south side Willamette River bike trail. It's always clean, friendly and a great place if you want to sit outside at their picnic tables. They have different food trucks come in most nights. They have live music sometimes and the brew is fresh and very reasonable. There are no TVs so if you just want to talk or sit quietly this is a great place. One of the best outdoor places I've seen. Groups of 6-7 people can fit pretty easily at the picnic tables and the indoor part is open on two sides in the summer. Very little traffic or noise on the street too. read more

What a happy place! I've been there once and was amazed at how happy it is. Amazing beer for $4 a pint! I tried the Bitter Rye-Valry. Excellent. There was a guy with a banjo playing some fun music, kids dancing around the table. There were old people young people kids 3 generation of people just being psyched about life. Had the pleasure of trying some of Oakshire's beers at the taproom the other day. It was packed, but service remained reasonably paced, which was nice. Food carts both seemed interesting enough that we tried both and were not disappointed. The big complaint of the night, and it's a BIG one, was that the music was out of control. I hope it's not like that on a regular night, because the band took up a quarter of the floorspace and were so loud I decided to leave about 15 minutes into their performance. Hopefully the next time I visit they have a band that realizes you don't need microphones and speakers in a small warehouse. read more

Oakshire is our go-to Eugene hangout. Some of our favorite beers (the seasonal Berliner Weisses, especially raspberry, and Citrafonix are delish). Very chill, relaxing atmosphere. We ordered a keg of raspberry Berliner Weisse for our wedding and the whole process was very easy. Great customer service. read more
