My friend and I were at camp and ordered our food about 35 minutes before we had to leave. We waited the entire time, but our food still wasn't ready. With only about a minute left before we had to go, we went to the counter and politely explained that we wanted a refund since we never received our food in time. Instead of helping us or offering a refund, the employee brushed us off and handed us to-go boxes. That completely missed the point--we didn't have time to take the food with us, which is why we asked for our money back. I had a good time went I went to Circle Bowl & Entertainment to celebrate a friend of mine's 40th birthday. Her husband reserved two lanes for ten people and we had two hours of bowling shenanigans! I really enjoyed the bowling lanes. They had plenty of balls per lane (no going around searching for one that suits your needs) and there was also plenty of space for all of us to sit and enjoy our food and drinks. Also, the bowling shoes were very cute looking! When we first arrived our lanes weren't ready yet, so we went into the restaurant to order food and drinks. By the time we ordered our lanes were ready and our waiter easily moved our order to our lane numbers so our food and drinks were delivered promptly. The waiters and waitresses that helped us throughout the whole evening were super kind and super attentive. Even on a crowded Saturday night. Every time we go back to Jersey we go bowling with our entire family. They accommodate everyone. They remodeled so it super nice inside and the bar area is great. We never really order food but everyone we were with bought stuff. They didn't complain. I mean it is bar/bowling alley food. We just love going here and the fact we can bring the entire family extended and all and still get great service is amazing. We went on a Friday night too. I will say it's a bit pricey and they charge hourly which in Cali they do not. They do have an arcade and it's fun for the littles. Really cool bowling alley! Definitely make reservations online. Luckily we were able to reserve a lane at the time we wanted, but there were a ton of groups waiting. One group said they had been waiting for two hours!! Pros: updated, TVs/projectors everywhere, clean, bar and restaurant with wait service at your lane/table, arcade, friendly people. Cons: food isn't great, pricey to reserve lanes, super close to the people next to you. I made a reservation for an adult party of 20 for 4 lanes. I didn't have headcount until much closer to the day and they were very flexible. It was easy to get in contact with someone from the booking department too. The adult party came with 2 hours of bowling, shoe rental, large cheese pizzas for each lane, 1 drink ticket per guest, $5 game card per guest, unlimited soft drinks, and a cake! It came out to about $42 pp, and everyone had a great time! It was not much more to book the party instead of just having everyone rent shoes and book the lanes individually. Ended up going here with a group for special occasion and we booked a VIP room. This section which is located at the end of the bowling alley has a private lanes it's on a little bar and two our joy we found out you can hook up to Spotify and play your own playlist in the section I wish we had a lot of fun with. The staff was extremely attentive in the server came by frequently, as this was a group of adults and we were enjoying libations. The food was solid for a bowling alley and overall we had a wonderful time. The only negative if you care enough about this from a bowling standpoint, the pins in the VIP section are all attach the strings which does affect how they fall as opposed to the main lanes, which have the normal racking system. As definitely one of the more fun things to do in this area and would recommend it for someone looking for an activity to do with a group and wanting to do something that's a tad more upscale than the normal day today. read more

We came with the family today to "Circle Day", a carnival event put on by Circle Lanes. What a great event - there were carnival games, a bouncy house, music, and characters like Scooby Doo and Spongebob. The kids had a great time, and I hope they decide to make it an annual event. After it got too hot running around outside, we headed inside the alley and were really surprised by how good it looks. The renovations were great! May be fewer lanes now, but the bar/restaurant space is nice and there is a pretty big arcade for the kids. Definitely not your typical old school bowling alley anymore. Saw signs that they have laser tag as well. We played for a while in the arcade and had a great time. I would say that we'd be back to bowl, but unfortunately it may not be right away. One fatal flaw for us (with a new baby) - no changing tables in the restrooms. It's really surprising at a place that caters to families and was just redone. Came across this Gem because after lunch wanted to surprise the kids with some Saturday FUN. The place was awesome, it wasn't to crowded and the kids had an amazing time. Circle lanes is one the last bowling alleys in the area, I also feel like their prices might reflect that. The place is clean though and the lanes are well maintained. The equipment is fairly up to date. I don't think I've ever been to a bowling alley with fancier equipment then what they had. There selection of bowling balls was adequate enough to suit my needs. I have very large hands and my fingers will not fit in your run of the mill ball, although I do realize I should probably just put out the cash for my own ball. I thought the price per game was a little high, it was $4.00 bucks a person and there were no laser lights! I think we all expect them to jazz it up at least a little. I can't comment on shoe rentals because I have my own bowling shoes but I think it was between 2 and 4. They also have a little bar and a pizzeria attached so you can get drinks or food, kind of nice to go out with a few people. The only thing that you should know is that this place is cash only. Did I just have fun bowling? Passaic bowling alley circa 1999, Friday nights during high School is probably the last time I remember having fun bowling. I was extremely impressed with facilities, the variety of activities, the service, and their mission to stay out of the type-casting a bowling alley snack bars.The Dude wasn't sitting at the Bar sadly. No nachos with the orange cheese sauce here buddy (don't be discouraged I just didn't come across it on the menu but maybe they have it). Iordered assaulted caramel apple milkshake through a waiter while sitting find a somewhat loungie bench at my sign lane. It look like the shakes with that popular so they were out of the items to execute this apple pie beverage those sorts. Instead my waiter suggested I try the s'mores shake and what a brilliant suggestion this was. This was easily one of the best milkshakes I've ever had. I'm not sure what type of ice cream they used but it did taste like it had a touch of Kahlua in there. I confirmed it was not a dirty shake they just have the flavor profile formula to elevate the shakes. Not sure if I mentioned they also have bowling at this place. Once you check in at the front your hostess brings you to your lane and assists you in setting up your game on the touch screen. You can play traditional bowling or an angry birds version that provides a little more entertainment and graphic on the screen which is cool because the kids get more than one game at a time. They were so fully engaged in bowling that there was no major push to head over to the arcade which had a very steady flow of happy guests in and out. For the little ones or horrific bowlers like me, they have the bumper guards which we've all seen before. They also have these ball ramps that help kids that are not able to carry the heavy ball or control the throw. You simply just sit the ball in this slide or ramp and give it a push and it goes flying down the lane. They have Big Ed's Tap House on prem which looks to be a popular spot here. Along with a vip sect., Snack bar, arcade, party room, and plenty of seating. Lots of moving parts here. To be clear I've hung out at Lucky strikes and I've also spent some time at that oddly placed Total recall-ish bowling lounge in Port authority. Both were cool but I enjoyed this place much more. the only thing that I could have changed about the experience is a little better variety of music but I do understand demographics so Lil Uzi vert was not a part of their playlist....neither were Will Smith's clean raps. The Order: Choco Shake Black & White Shake S'mores Shake Wings Mozza Sticks Large Pie - queso grande Root Beers *Our lane mates ordered some sort of buffalo'd potato wedges with cheese that looked damn good. Love the feel of the place when you walk in. There is an arcade for the kids in the back. Milk shakes are amazing. Service is good. Our severe was kind. We were asked to move as a party was coming in soon and they gave use an extra 30min to Dowling and a few gift cards for the kids to play in the arcade. So we were well compensated to move our big party of 8. But the food was good and the game was fun we had such a great time we spent 2 hours playing and laughing with our family. I did think it was more pricey then some other bowling alleys in the area but the atmosphere and the food is much better here. So worth the little bit more especially if you loved to eat and play. read more

When I walked in, they took my temperature, which was nice because it was a little extra safety. When I was bowling I wasn't exactly sure how they cleaned the bowling balls. All I have to say about this place is this: On a Sunday, $55 an hour, with a 1.5 hour minimum. So, for 2 people to bowl for 1/5 hours (with shoes) is over $92.....THAT IS INSANE! There's another alley not far away that would charge $5.75/per person/per game and only $5 each for shoes. If you played 3 games in 1.5 hours, it would only cost $35. What does this alley think is so special about their establishment to deserve a $60 markup? Even they dont know....they were puzzled when I asked that question. Reach down and grab your balls everyone because Circle Bowl and Entertainment offers up nights full of pleasure and partying with a full bar setup, menu items, arcade entertainment, and a recently finished interior. Offering about 20 lanes of bowling, clean new balls of all sizes to choose from, a fairly simple computer program to enter in your goofy names, as well as bar & food options to hang out for the night, Circle Bowl can be a good hangout for you & your friends. The computer does offer a little sass when you miss pins which adds to the entertainment and if you need a little break from the lanes for a bit, you can occupy your time at the arcade in between games. The arcade area is fully loaded with new game options, so far all fully functional, keeping the bright lights alive and giving kids a secondary option to just bowling alone. Plus, they offer a private party room, though I'm not sure what the prices on that may run with food and lanes. They also have a small rock wall and a Laser Tag area near the arcade. The laser tag room didn't look very big from the outside, but the attendee said it could handle 20 people at a time comfortably. Finally the bar area is a great feature to have, with some general beer options to choose from but no major selections on liquor cocktails available yet. Hopefully they do a facelift on the outside soon to match the interior. As you pull, it's hard to expect what they have to offer from the outside. Horrible service. If you don't have a reservation, avoid this place. When I arrived, they gave me an estimate of 1h wait. Two hours later, guess what? They still have no clue of how long it will take and it's up to you to stay (for maybe another 2, 3, 4h??) or leave. Extremely disrespectful. They should just inform that they're fully booked and let you go elsewhere, but instead they prefer to leave it in the air and make you wait here forever.
