I had my car in for repairs at Oakwood Tire when two things happened that created a nightmare for me. The night before I was supposed to pick up my car, my bank accounts were hacked and the starter on my truck failed, leaving me without a vehicle. Luckily, they are close to me, so I walked the next day to pick up my car and explain the bank situation. They were extremely helpful, understanding, and supportive, going far beyond expectations in dealing with my issues. Their work is excellent, their communication is excellent, and their customer service is excellent. I would recommend them to anyone for their automotive needs. Ive used Oakwood tire since the 80s, and maybe not too many trips, but always been a staple go to place when you need to be sure on a job. I recently ordered some low profile hard to get tires online and have them shipped to me , but asked OT if they could put them on. They said sure, and I dropped it off at 9 or so and it was ready by 4. These are very hard to put on tires, and they experienced over torqued bolts as well but did not charge extra and balanced and mounted for $100 or so. Got 2 calls from the tech, and even a follow up call from the owner checking on emails where my son had initially tried to make an appt. Great customer service and staff, and saved me a lot of money not taking it to he dealer. Did not do an alignment as I have requested this from my dealer as it is going in for a major mile tune up in 2 weeks so will let the factory handle it. I was very happy here. read more

I was visiting from Orlando when I hit an unforgiving pothole on the side of the road, damaging, both my front and back tires on the passenger side. Not only the tires, but the wheels as well. Pretty much your average tire shop. Don't be in a hurry and communicate clearly on what you expect. You have to understand that they are working on a machine. Machines do not always cooperate like you think they will. I have been happy with their service in the past. I have no reason to go elsewhere. read more

I rented a UHAUL from these people for 24 hours and only drove it 14 miles at most. It went ftom $35 to $99 over night. They charged a $20 overnight fee when I turned it in at 5:45pm same day under 24 hours and $14 for fuel when it was not completely full when I drove it off. Some type of enviromental fee too. Crazy! Owner of Oakwood Tire didn't want to take responsibility in handling it telling me to call Iu-Haul. They took responsibility in renting it to me with no problem, they can take respnsiblity in this review as well. I'd give then zero stars if I could. Caution when using them for anything. read more

Came to get a plug on my driver side rear time and a tire rotation. told me it would take about 20-30 minutes so i decided to wait and they didn't finish until 3 hours later. They took multiple people in front of me and when asked about it all they said was they're busy and they can't get everyone out on time. Shouldn't have told me a time estimate nor take other walk-ins out of order it's not like rotating and plugging a tire is very time consuming. Would have rather done it myself if i knew it would be such a hassle. Don't recommend. read more

Made an appointment for 8am. Arrived and their power was out. (Not their fault.) Came back at 9:30am. Still sitting here at 2:30pm. Tires are on, but they have not even started the allignnment. So, four tires and an alignment at this place ends up taking 7 to 8 hours. Unacceptable! Everybody that did NOT have an appointment has come and gone. This is the second time I've purchased tires from here, and it will be the last. read more

I would not recommend this place to put tires on anything. The reason is because I attempted to rent a Uhaul front his place and the tires were completely bald with wires coming out. How can a tire place rent a completely unsafe vehicle. They are responsible for making sure the Uhaul trucks are travel worthy. If they don't take care of the Uhaul trucks I can only imagine the quality of the tires they sell. read more

horrible experience. we had a previous bad experience and i thought we could give them another chance. i went to have four tires replaced when i got home i realized one tire was at 15 pounds and the other three were around 20ish pounds. i called and they honestly admitted they forgot to add air to the tires. i thought that was admirable. when i came the next morning to get the pressure right in all the tires and the one at 15 pounds, I observed cracks on the sidewalls. the owner told me it wasn't his fault. he then asked if i requested to have air put in my tires? i couldn't not believe he asked such a foolish question. i paid $130 to have four tires mounted balanced and installed and his employee admitted they forgot to add air in the tires and making me drive home on a flat. the owner refused to give any money back and the employee that helped me was doing his best to make it right. The way the owner talked to me was enough to say i would not recommend going back there. Own up to making a mistake. It's humbling. read more

I really had high hopes for this place after getting a good price on Cooper tires. Mike was easy to deal with and quick on quotes. Unfortunately, I've gone back for two things that have cost me alot of pain. 1) took my F150 in for a transmission and differential fluid change. This truck has NEVER had a leak. Right when it was finished I looked under and noticed nothing was wiped down following the service. A complete Mess, so I cleaned. 1 week after the change, a huge puddle of transmission fluid under truck. Took it back, gasket put on wrong. They fixed, leaking again. Finally took it to another shop. No issues. 2) Lincoln Navigator in for brakes. Pads only rotors good, just turned. Immediately after on freeway, vehicle shook horribly. They didn't test drive and put warped rotors back on vehicle. If you need discounted tires. Ok. Anything else. Stay away. Guys up front seem ok, but the guys in the back are worthless. read more

my car was brought here for a new tire because of a flat where one hole was patched and the other couldn't be. came here with the intention of purchasing a new tire, was told again and again that there was only 1 hole and the patching wasn't done correctly by the roadside assistance company I had used, and they just needed to re-do it and the tire would be fine. the tire went flat within an hour of leaving. went in the next day for the new tire i originally came for, and instead of taking responsibility for the mistake, the owner got defensive and said that i should've gotten a new tire instead of trying to get it patched ‍ would never recommend a tire shop that doesn't even know how to find a hole in a tire, especially when being shown exactly where it is!!!! read more

These folks just did the a rotate and balance on my wife's car. Only thing is they forgot to tighten all the lug nuts on the left front tire... Two of the lug nuts were so loose they fell off the wheel as my turned in to our driveway. The other lugs were hanging on by only as few threads. We were so blessed she made it home without losing the tire. I called Oakwood Tires to report the problem and to their credit they had someone come out and check out all the tires. However I am amazed that anyone would have double checked this type of job which if done wrong can easily cause a serious accident if death. read more

Happy with two front tires that i got but exceptionally dissappointed that they told my husband my control arms were in such bad shape they needed replacement right away and that i needed a rear wheelbearing. I know about the bearing but declined the service. They quoted an additional $1100.00to have this work done. Took the car to my mechanic this morning who assessed my car and advised the control arms are just fine and do not need ti be replaced. The last time I went there for tires was bad. Customer service on the phone & in person was unprofessional. When I drove away in my car with new tires I felt that something wasn't right with the car. Worst place ever. Dropped off my suv to have caliper covers installed. Was told 45 minutes to get in and 45 minutes to install. Was going to wait but decided to call my wife to pick me up so I can do a few things at home. Came back three hours later and they didn't even start. Was told that since I left and went home that I got bumped to the end of the line. He had an attitude. That was so wrong. All because I left I should not have been bumped. Or at least notified that if I left I would be bumped. Waited all morning to get caliper covers done and they didn't even touch them. Wasted my time. They didn't care. Don't go there. Went in for a flat repair. left having to order a new wheel cover from Chevrolet. Tire did not run flat and damage wheel cover. It just had a screw in it 28psi when pulled into shop. After tire was dismounted from wheel they let my wife know the cover was damaged and here are the pieces. She did get a thank you very much for the 20.00 tire repair. I've been a customer of Oakwood Tire for a few years now and they have never disappointed me with their prices or service. They put a lift kit, after market wheels, shocks, and new tires on my old truck. On my new truck I haven't started getting them to customize it yet but they have helped me bring all of the maintenance up to date with new fuel filters, an oil change, a transmission service, and a coolant flush. I knew I needed brakes on the front and rear of my truck and was pretty sure that I would need new rotors along with brake pads. However, one of the technicians measured my rotors and was able to machine them because they were within specs which saved me some money! These guys are top notch and are the only ones I trust to work on my vehicles. I recommend them to anyone I know that tells me about needing something done to their car. read more

Unethical pricing. Go somewhere else or get a quote in writing, do not trust them. Wal-Mart referred me to Oakwood Tire to have a near-side-wall patch done. Labor was minimal since the tire was already off the car (in my trunk). Patches go for $10, which includes the mechanic taking off the tire and remounting. The sales clerk demanded $20 for the tiny job after it had been completed (no dismount or remount labor included). BS. read more

Do not come here! My 63 year old mother had been a customer for over 20 years and went in last week to get her oil changed. They gave her a rental truck because they had to fix her "stripped screws". She left to go to work and realized the truck was completely out of gas. She paid to put gas in the truck and came back later to pick up her car. While leaving to go to church on Sunday morning there was oil all over her driveway so she called them to get it fixed on Monday. They were really rude to her on the phone so she took it to a dealership when she had to pay $500 to have her oil pan and filter replaced. The old was was rigged up with a big bolt that was bolted to another bolt! After leaving the dealership she called Oakwood Tire again to tell them about the damage and they YELLED at her on the phone. TERRIBLE! Small Businesses should know better than to treat their customers this way. read more
