What an amazing team of people! I had an "emergency" when I saw something metal in a tire on my sister's car while my sister was recovering from surgery this morning. The tire was going flat! This great group of guys got me in immediately and put a new tire on for our hour and a half drive home! I noticed how quick their turn around was.I started taking my vehicle for service and tires as well. That was 8 years ago and I won't go anywhere else. Prices are fair and they communicate well. People complain on here about price, in my world quality work doesn't come at discount prices. They do a job and do it well and that's worth a couple extra bucks. read more

NO LONGER OPEN ON SATURDAYS : right now I am disappointed that they ARE NOT OPEN SATURDAYS. This was a day of opportunity for those people that work during the week and the opportunity on Saturdays for families to handle tire issues. I need them to be open now. My son is away at school and came home this weekend with a tire that needs attention and we have the tire care plan with Lanier. I can not go there now because they are not open today, Saturday. I am at our mechanics shop looking at what issue I have with this tire. And I will go to Lanier with my receipt of tire tire repair and ask for reimbursement for this Saturday tire repair. I had the best experience with Lanier tire & wheel today! I needed some new tires and I stopped by to see what tires would be best for my vehicle, thinking I would order them and make an appointment at a later date. They were so nice and very helpful. They offered me 3 choices and I requested tires that were quiet and provided a smooth ride. They recommended the cheapest tire of the 3 (no up selling). They said they had them in stock and put them on today. They did this in less than 45 minutes. Their customer service is the best I have EVER experienced. read more

I was really sad when I found out that I was taken advantage by Lanier Tire and Wheel by a salesman with the initials YCH, who informed me I needed 4 new tires after previously replacing them 8 months prior at another tire shop. I had bent the wheel on one of my tires and was worried about driving it so I wanted some honest advice. I was told all 4 tires needed to be replaced and since I know nothing about tires I went along with his supposed expertise. When confronting the salesman 2 weeks later, I was treated very poorly and was told I should have known better since I was 18 years of age and an adult. I have never been talked down to like this and was quite shocked! He had a whole spiel memorized already so I can only imagine how many females he has ripped off. It is hell getting old let alone having to always be on guard watching for con artists like this. read more

Not a fanboy if Lanier Tire. What gets discussed st the counter isn't what gets put into the bill of sale which acts as your warranty paperwork. Wanted new tires for the truck but didn't want to spend a whole lot of money as the truck gets used only for hauling short distances on occasion. They had Goodyear's, they said but when the tires got in, they were 3 years old so is only have 2 years of mfg's warranty left. No go. They had newish Faulkens available. Had them put those on. When I got home I found that they marked the paperwork that they recommended the Goodyears and not Fauklens, then I find that they've fucked up my rim so the valve stem leaks. Had to buy a new wheel. Been a customer for years, since the old location. Went in today to get my tires, which I bought at this location and was told they would rotate for free, rotated. Employee comes out and inspects my tires and tells me the rears "will beat you to death if we move them to the front" (something about wear) and that I need new fronts. I went home and swapped them myself...the car rides smoother now than it did before. I'll find another shop in Cumming when these wear out. read more

On two different occasions I have called Lanier Tire for a quote on tires. Their price was very competitive. Only problem is, when I showed up the price was significantly higher than the phone quote. I have done business with this shop for about 28 years. I am going to try to keep using them but it might be time to move on. I loved the honesty, quality, and price of doing business here and have raved about them for years. The last few years I have been just so so happy with everything but was just staying loyal. I had been treated so good for so long and I am not throwing in the towel yet but now will not be blindly loyal any longer. The last visit i called and asked for a quote on a 4 wheel brake job. The dealer wanted around $1,200 for pads and resurfacing the rotors which I thought was a rip off. Lanier suggested replacing the rotors which I believe was good advice. The quoted me about the same price as the dealer but that was replacing the rotors too. I thought this was a very good price and he said labor was about $179 and the rest was parts. They asked for a credit card to order parts so they wouldn't get stuck with them. I took it to get the job done and they called me and said I needed back brakes also. I knew that and that was the reason I had asked for a 4 wheel brake job quote. I believe they honestly made a mistake and quoted me for 2 wheels but I would have never let them do the job for the $ 1,962.38 price they charged if I had been quoted that up front. The parts for this car can be ordered online much cheaper than this so they are either charging more for labor than stated or way over charging for the parts. I felt obligated to do the job since I had already told them to order the parts and didn't want them to get stuck with them since they have always been fair with me but in the end i feel I way over paid for a brake job due to them not listening very well for what I had asked for and miss quoting me or unlikely just getting me to commit and then using that to go up on the price. With any other shop I would bet on the second but I hope not. There prices seem higher and service seems lower but since both have always been fantastic that is likely but almost $2,000 for a brake job is definitely not a good price to me or even a fair price. read more

Took vehicle in for oil change, alignment and brakes. Tried to "fear" me into a set of new tires telling me they were dangerous. Current tires not even at warning "bar"! After I refused the tires they started the other work and called me multiple times pressing the tire issue. Refused again. Other work all the sudden went from a couple of hours to all day waiting for vehicle. Got the cold shoulder at pick up and not one thanks you for any of the business I brough ($650) Never going here again. Do not recommend! read more

I went to get an oil change. They didn't have time. When I told them I needed tires as well, they changed their mind about the oil change. We spoke about the road hazard and matching the price I paid last time for tires and oil change. When I got done with everything, I noticed that there was no charge for the road hazard. They did not put a sticker on my windshield to remind me to have another oil change. They did not reset the light in the dashboard. They told me the light will automatically reset after I start driving. I knew this was a bunch of crap. Long story short, I did not get my road hazard I had to go to another dealership to add on because they just started acting stupid. They got their money for the tires and that's all they cared about. I had to go somewhere else to have them reset my warning light notification so I would know when to have it done again and they didn't even give me a sticker in the windshield either. These guys are just about making a quick dollar and don't care about customer service. Please stay away from these people! read more
