I unfortunately had a very concerning experience at The Lash Lounge Mueller location…read more This most recent appointment was actually a refill appointment after my first full set from this location fell out almost completely within about a week. I had purchased the aftercare products recommended by the salon and followed the care instructions I was given, so I was already disappointed with the retention from my first appointment. I went back on Tuesday for the refill, and during the service my eyes began burning. I specifically told my lash technician that my eyes were burning while she was working, but I was told that it was fine and the appointment continued. By the following day, my eyes were extremely red, irritated, and painful, particularly my right eye. The symptoms were concerning enough that I had to see an ophthalmologist. I was diagnosed with a chemical burn to my right eye and prescribed medicated eye drops to treat it. I also had to pay a $100 specialist copay because I needed medical treatment following the appointment. The most upsetting part of this experience is that I spoke up during the appointment and said that my eyes were actively burning. Instead of stopping the service and checking what was happening, my concern was dismissed and I was reassured that it was fine. I have documentation from my ophthalmologist confirming the chemical burn and treatment, as well as documentation of the medical expense. I have also contacted the salon directly to give management an opportunity to address what happened. I understand that lash retention can vary and that reactions or complications can sometimes occur with beauty services. However, between having my original set fall out within approximately a week despite following their aftercare instructions and then sustaining a physician-diagnosed chemical burn during the refill appointment, I am extremely disappointed with my experience. Most importantly, I believe that when a client says their eyes are actively burning during a service being performed around the eyes, that concern should be taken seriously and addressed immediately. I'm sharing my experience so that other clients can make an informed decision and know to advocate for themselves if something does not feel right during an appointment.

It's a big price commitment which is why it took me so long but I finally did it and I cannot be happier. I was a little nervous I would have push back on what I wanted because I wanted a very bold brow for my natural hair color and was so pleasantly surprised with how understanding and supportive of my vision Mashari was. I showed her a few photos of how I fill in my brows and she marked out the exact perfect shape on the first try. I immediately knew I was in fantastic hands. She was great and paying attention to how my face and body were reacting to the process (eyes watering, twitching, etc) so much so I didn't even notice before she did. I was shocked at how little pain I felt from the process. When I finally got to see my new brows I immediately started to cry. This is something I've wanted for a long time and she managed to make my brows so perfect. She was so kind and sweet about my emotional reaction. I really cannot overstate how comfortable she made me feel and how confident these brows make me feel. The studio is STUNNING. I am obsessed with it. Such a comfortable space. She made sure that the tattoo table was as comfortable as possible even having a knee pillow which was so nice I'm thinking of getting one for myself! She even grabbed my sweater for me to make sure I wouldn't get cold. The aftercare instructions and little goodie bag is so helpful. I really love that she gives the exact balm and soap to use. I have a few tattoos and always worry about if I'm using the correct soap and moisturizer during the healing. And with this being on my face I want it to heal as well as possible so I love that she gave me exactly what I needed. Overall this whole experience felt so luxurious to me. From the studio, to the pillows on the table, to the aftercare goodie bag, even to the bathroom! I am blown away with Mashari's talent with tattooing and ability to interpret what her clients are saying and making it happen.
