I called Eagle Land Title Agency and am told by the person who picked up the phone that Jim will need to get back to me as he's not the one with the experience. Fine, I wait for Jim's call. Although I do admit I didn't give all of the information up front, Jim says he should be able to help. Great! I send him the contract between my mom and I that the lender has approved. In the contract I specify the seller will pay for taxes and I will pay for the closing costs including the work to be done by the title company. Jim says the contract doesn't detail out the specific charges and that I do not have a form that's normally included in other home purchases by the realtor board. He also advises I get a lawyer. I explain that I don't believe I need a lawyer and in response I'm asked to Google other title companies in the area that can help. Great! I will take my business elsewhere. Lesson learned, I will provide the most details upfront when I speak to another title company before I waste a full week to be told they don't want my business. Another important detail to note is I was asked to pay $500 upfront for the title search/examination and when I mention it to my mortgage banker, he tells me the bank will send a title order and the payment needs to be done at closing. Hope this helps everyone else out there looking for an honest title company.

To say that the statements above are half-truths would be an understatement. Aside from the fact…read morethat I am often busy and occasionally have to reschedule appointments, those are essentially a collection of twisted and distorted falsehoods. Moreover, I possess records of the aforementioned work orders and emails, all authenticated and time-stamped by Google's servers. In addition, the majority of the work orders and requests in question did not even require my presence. Furthermore, many of these requests were submitted a long time ago, a fact that can be readily proven and demonstrated. In the preceding 12 months or so, only in one single occasion, I was contacted via phone by the management firm. That phone call took place due to the fact that management firm had a question regarding an unknown vehicle parked near my unit. The allegation regarding the door jamb is particularly ludicrous. The vendor contacted me only once and never responded to my subsequent emails. Moreover, the vendor (Able Roofing) eventually only contacted me once I posted a review of my experience with them on Yelp (by the way, that review is up on Yelp; anyone can verify it) -- previously, they simply did not respond my emails. Therefore, the management firm ('The Twenty Seven Group') did absolutely nothing to do address the situation. Subsequently the vendor stated that he went to the property and, while speaking with me by phone, indicated that my presence was not necessary. He further stated that he would have his team properly repair the door jamb; however, that the vendor never contacted me again.

This is the most unprofessional and unorganized property management group I have ever come across. Additionally, this individual has been incredible rude and condescending throughout the entire process.

There were some fixes needed during our stay. The management and maintenance team responded to our requests in a very timely manner. For example, There were two ceiling fans that makes weird squeaking noises in the house. After we reported the issue they immediately contacted the property owner and brought two brand new fans for installation. No hassle, no extra charge, no back and forth arguments. We are very glad that we chose this company instead of renting from a private landlord. I think they are very professional and have a high quality of customer service.

The house was advertised to be noise-proof but I can hear the neighbor's conversations. Not to mention the sounds of their dog walking around the house. It's not the neighbor's fault-- they are just living their lives. But wow, I have lived under at least 5 different housing management teams before and it has never been this bad. Maintenance requests do not get done until couple months later, and even if they come over to fix the said problem, I can't tell that it was properly fixed. I honestly can not WAIT until I can move out of this house. EDIT: Bijan (the landlord) and I had a conversation. We came to the consensus that there was quite a bit of miscommunication on both sides of the party. Bijan definitely cares about the tenants' well-being. Once a distinct & straight-forward maintenance system is placed, I have no problems with this management company.

I'm sure they have a few folks living large but it sure isn't their residents. Shame-shame. It appears that the company's only concern is their new ventures, not maintaining what they have. Their apartment communities need so much work that if they actually did right by them they probably couldn't afford a new project. Exactly what is wrong with corporate America, not the large corporations but the small Crawford-Hoying type of glorified slum-lords with seemingly no integrity. Now, on the flip side, I can't speak about Crawford-Hoying Real Estate because I have never used them. Hopefully they do better work than the property management side.

The wrong answer is to come home off of active duty to an eviction notice, when they were alerted 30 days prior and were given a copy of my orders, I can tell you that much. And then when I furiously addressed the matter, they lied to my face. Redefines unprofessional and careless behavior towards uniformed service members. I would never recommend one of Crawford Hoying's locations to ANYONE, especially someone in the military because I would never want anyone to have to return home to an eviction notice.
