My family & I decided to staycation here during spring break. It was our first time staying here but they have such a cute lobby/seating area as well as a koi garden. The staff here are very friendly & the front desk really does take the time to make conversation and accommodate as much as they can. We checked into our Junior suite which included two double beds with a sofa bed & kitchenette, and a private lanai. The deep soak tub was a hit with our 3 kids! This hotel literally checked off pretty much everything we were looking for & the price was affordable. Me and my family enjoyed it such that even till today my kids are still talking about our spring break staycation. Thank you to the amazing staff for making our stay enjoyable & comfortable. We will definitely be back!

We loved our stay here. The staff was friendly, my son loved the turtles and the koi fish near check in. Don't expect much from breakfast, but it's nice to even offer anything (simple pastries, toast, yogurt, coffee, cereal, juice). It's within walking distance to so many restaurants, shopping, and the beach! We would definitely stay here again! My kiddo mightily enjoyed the heated toilet seat

Better Than Sleeping in the Gutter, But Just Barely If you're torn between staying here or just pitching a tent in a sketchy alley, Oasis Waikiki might barely win out; assuming you enjoy AC units held together with duct tape and the thrill of MAYBE having a place to park your car. The lodging is... acceptable, if you set your expectations somewhere between "aging motel" and "grandma's basement that hasn't been updated since 1983." The decor has a charming "we gave up" vibe, and the AC sounds like it's on life support--probably because it is. Valet? Don't count on it. Andrew, the valet manager, confidently told us we could prepay to secure a spot, how cute. Reality check: when we pulled up, valet was full and shrugged us off like we were asking to land a helicopter. Ended up parking at the Hyatt Centric and paying $35 for the privilege of not being able to leave unless we wanted to pay $35 again. A parking scam wrapped in a lie wrapped in a lei. I should also mention that parking here is $45 a day, so... Would I stay here again? Only if it's this or the sidewalk. And even then, I'd need a moment to think about it.

Cleanliness: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Comfort: 4/5 Noise: 4/5 Overall: Location, Location, Location. It's a good location for Waikiki and I'd definitely stay here again. For Parking you have an option for valet which was pretty expensive and limited or a validated parking space a couple blocks away at the Hyatt. The extended review... Cleanliness: 4/5 - The linens and towels were clean which is all I can ask for. Service: 5/5 - Friendly staff and they actually gave us an upgrade to the top floor with a kitchen! Comfort: 4/5 - A very comfortable room where I was able to get some good rest. The room was very spacious and I would have used the balcony if I had more time there. Noise: 4/5 - It's Waikiki so you will hear noise but it wasn't bothersome by any means.

DAY 1 to end. Duration July 1st-4th. Day 1 you book a hotel you get what you book when you get there typically when we got there we booked 3 rooms months in advance for 12 of us, a lot of us and needed 3 beds in two of the rooms and 1 bed in another. They had nothing ready said they upgraded us to a king bed and pull out couch bed I said NO THATS NOT WHAT I BOOKED AND NOT WHAT I PLANNED ON OR NEEDED!! The big large man and small older dark short hair lady with the colored eye shadow those are the monsters in this story who looked at me and said we don't have those rooms available I said but I booked and paid for that. They said yeah well we don't have it you can stay or leave as I stood there with my 3 kids they told me this. I said whatever not enough beds so we had people sleeping on the floor and then they refused to give us extra blankets or towels it was always an argument about how much stuff was already there then got back from a luau there was shift change that staff who then tried to say we didn't pay our valet and they had no record I found the ticket and then she was nice but she ignored any phone calls from our room I had to call via cell. Day 2 we were gone! All day! From 6am until maybe 4or 5! Came back that's when all hell broke lose our kids got in the pool my mother-in-law was watching my daughter and my son down at the pool when we get a phone call and she said that our son was bleeding dad goes downstairs to find his son bleeding from his hand because he went to get out of the Aqua oasis swimming pool and the ladder that you get out of had a sharp edge with no bumper so he took his son to the front desk to ask for a Band-Aid or some thing to stop the bleeding and they handed him one Band-Aid and one tiny thing ointment then he asked are you guys going to do anything and they (the aqua oasis staff as pictured.) just stare at him expressionless and he said he hurt himself in your pool at your hotel like what do we do and then they looked at him and questioned "wasn't he under your supervision?" he said no my mom was watching him she had to watch it happen and could not prevent it as the sharp edge is under water and then they said "well we will put that in our report" which then dad with frustration again asked for help and if they were just going to stand there and they weren't going to help then requested them to call an ambulance and they said oh no I'm calling the cops on you guys as my son stood there bleeding and crying they called the cops on our family because we requested them to help our son since he was injured in their pool they freaked out when we said call and ambulance you can tell they didn't wanna be responsible for this accident. Trying to get the workers to go fix it before the cops came I came down with my 4 month old and didn't know what was going on and old short hair eye shadow lady started putting her hand in my face saying ask my mother in law and then the big man said no we are calling the cops we are going to trespass you all! I HEARD THIS MAN ON THE PHONE WITH POLICE DISPATCH HE WAS SAYING WE WERE OUT OF CONTROL YELLING AND CUSSING AND if we were loud we weren't yelling at them we talk loud we are a big loud family and if we cuss it's in conversation with each other not at them. I was just trying to find out what happened they said my son my 7 year old with a bleeding hang skin cut open was exaggerating the way we were treated was absolutely insane and upsetting they refused to speak to us laughed at us and had us thrown out no remorse I had my 3 kids standing there watching the hotel staff be rude and cops too reading all the one star reviews I see that it's a trend for the Aqua Oasis to give the worst customer service, to be threatened to stay or leave if you don't like your room , to be trespassed ,and call law enforcement on guest and they probably are in Cahoots with the police because the cops immediately before they even spoke to us or rude yelling at us on the hotel side and accusing us of not watching our children even if my son was standing 5 feet away these cops tried to say I was neglecting my kids they also laughed at us they also made jokes they also yelled at us didn't let us talk we were told numerous times to calm down when we were just frustrated and trying to figure out why we were getting this treatment why they called the cops on us why they wanted to kick us out over my son cutting his hand in their unsafe pool. They kicked us out no remorse. Hopefully they have the decency to refund us our money if you don't want to ruin your beautiful vacation don't stay here WE HAVE SEVERAL VIDEOS OF THEIR HORRENDOUS BEHAVIORS.

2 stars tops. But it makes sense for what i paid. Only getting 2stars because the customer service upon checking in was very professional and courteous. I arrived about an hour and a half before the 3pm check in, and was checked in right away since there was a room available. The outdoor lobby area was pretty decent, peaceful/calm setting. The pool was a little scary. (I had hopes in hanging by the pool whenever I wasn't at the beach). Upon going up the elevator, the lights at each door is cute, but the halls are a bit dark and there are no windows, so it felt a bit creepy. The room was pretty typical. 2 beds, tv, desk, closet, bathroom, a sink and mini fridge. It was a spacious room but it was more of a motel than a hotel. The patio was big, which I'll be honest, (took some great photos out there). I sanitized and wiped down everything i would be touching in the room. Even checked the bed/sheets for you know whats. At first glance everything looked fine. So i showered, got dressed and went to enjoy my day trip. I stayed in this "hotel" for 1 night. Thank god i didn't get too comfortable. Woke up the next morning and as i got up, i noticed little bugs on the pillow. I got out of the bed and noticed that there was a streak of dried blood (that wasn't there before i went to bed) turns out i guess i killed one of the bugs as i was sleeping. I had pulled the sheet back to make sure they weren't all over the bed..(they weren't). But when I pulled the sheets back, it caused the blanket in between the 2 sheets to be exposed, which popped out another BED BUG. Smh i quickly googled what to do with my clothes that I slept in. Before showering and leaving. Thankfully all my belongings were already packed and sitting on the desk. But it was definitely bed bugs. When I checked out, I attempted to address it with the guy at the front desk. He first said it looked like little roaches. So I explained to him and showed him the videos. He then said, "well ill let housekeeping know so that she'll check it and change the sheets" ummmm what?! Change the sheets? Thats how your resolving this issue? That's disgusting! So just be aware of the situation. I almost didn't want to write this but now that im back home and im seeing the bites on my arm, and im remembering what he said. I couldn't help it. Hopefully they take more serious actions before the problem gets worse.

The Banyan Wing is the original Victorian-era building which is listed on National Historic Registry and houses the main lobby and restaurant. The number of guests and visitor who circulate through this property daily is incredible. Including the Tower and Surfrider Wings, it has 791 rooms. Our Tower room had a great covered patio with incredible views of Waikiki and Diamond Head. We spent a lot of time on the patio watching the surfers, catamarans, and enjoying the island breeze. Our balcony was spectacular :o Our room was updated and very comfortable. I understand the owners completed a full renovation of all rooms in 2026. The beach bar is one of the best in the world. Cold cocktails, beer and wine. Good service. Great views! The drawbacks.... The pool is small and very crowded, especially for 791 rooms. With that said everyone in the pool was smiling and having fun. The beach is also pretty small for such a massive hotel. At high tide the hotel only has about 30 feet of beachfront and it is a public beach so it is crowded Rio style. For us this was not a drawback as we love Waikiki, the birthplace of Hawaiian surfing, and spend most of our time in the surf. Hawaii and Waikiki is one of the few places that completely lives us to the hype year after year and generation after generation. We can't wait to return. Aloha & Mahalo

After visiting and eating at this resort in years past, we were excited about the opportunity to…read moreactually stay here. So much history as shown throughout the resort especially on the second floor, but also the open Victorian architecture which presents a relaxing atmosphere. Our friends thought we were "rich" for being able to stay here but I don't recall the prices being too different than other hotels in the area. We also got a great offering through the American Express card. We arrived on island early afternoon and attempted to stay up as late as possible. However, we were given a room on the second floor of the historic side of the hotel where they host events on the patio area outside our room. While we were trying to sleep at 8-9pm, a festive wedding was going on with their DJ blasting music, people dancing, yelling, the DJ trying to motivate the audience, etc. It was not a fun night as my wife complained to the hotel staff about the noise interfering with our ability to sleep. It's not the fact the wedding was occuring, but rather the fact the hotel staff didn't let us know they were putting us next to the hotel night club of sorts. Hawaii is typically laid back and quiet, which this was not. The hotel staff sympathisized and mentioned the wedding would be finished by 10pm which it was, and tried to make things better. On day 3 around 4am, the hotel fire alarm sounded and advised everyone to vacate the building. When we vacated, we learned it was a false alarm. This was our last day at the Moana Surfrider which we assumed was a sign the resort wasn't meant to be a relaxing experience for us. The hotel has activities associated with the resort fee such as yoga, that we registered for. It was my first time doing yoga despite mention by my wife over the years to do it. I figured it would be a pleasant surprise for her if I signed us up, and it was a great class out on the same patio area as the wedding. I won't say it was fun for me, but it was an experience that we both enjoyed. The room itself was small which I assume is because it was part of the historic side of the hotel. There wasn't a balcony which we've come to appreciate especially in Hawaii to be able to go outside, view the water, and smell the air. Instead there was a window which we tried to orient ourselves in to get a picture of us with our welcome leis and Waikiki Beach in the background. Very challenging to appreciate a window as well as find space in the room to lay out two large suitcases without having to relocate furniture. The shower leaked water onto the bathroom floor as the cracks in the glass were not sealed so there was a constant wet towel on the floor. The bathroom in general didn't seem very modern considering the hotel had recently undergone years of modernization. Housekeeping was good and treated us well with towels and drinking water. I believe the Tower rooms of the hotel might be more modern and larger, as well as away from the event area of the hotel. I think we would look at other options in the future as we also spent a few days each during this trip at the Sheraton and The Royal Hawaiian which provided a much different experience in comparison.

WORDS TO DESCRIBE Halepuna Hotel: Modern, clean, safe, economically and environmentally friendly (bamboo room cards, water dispensers for your reusable water bottles), bright, airy, quality service in hospitality and room service LOCATION I loved staying at the Halepuna Hotel. It was centrally located at the beach walk, so ABC Store, shops, restaurants, and the beach were all within walking distance. *It was difficult finding the location of the hotel, when we first arrived. There was no big sign that you can spot, while you're driving, so my landmarks I always looked for were the ABC Store and Denny's. STAFF/SERVICE: Everyone that we came across during our stay was very friendly, generous, kind, and attentive. A shoutout to the Valet Service crew, especially RJ. He gave us recommendations for where to go. He always made us smile and laugh with his jokes. Thank you Uncle! AMENITIES: ROOMS Our room was equipped with charge stations-usb and usb c compatible plugs, ironing board/iron, mini fridge, ice bucket, tea kettle, and coffee maker. BATHROOM Well stocked with towels, a drying cord, blow dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I appreciated that instead of your standard toilet, the hotel had bidets! *Great water pressure for showering. The tub was also spacious, if you wanted to take a bubble bath. 8TH FLOOR GYM-Equipped with a lot of machines Water dispenser Additional restrooms/shower room LAUNDRY ROOM is open 24/7 There are 3 washers and 4 dryers You can pay using your credit card or download the WASH CONNECT app *Friendly suggestions: -As a guest, bring your own laundry soap/dryer sheets--or go to the ABC Store if you forget your laundry supplies -Make sure to clean the lint trap before you put your clothes in -Put a timer on your phone to check on your clothes GARDEN -Serene, tranquil, peaceful, spacious -------- Friendly Suggestions for Halepuna Hotel -Have a big sign stationed outside the hotel, perhaps elevate the height of the sign and add lights to it, so it's easy to spot for first time visitors ------- All in all I enjoyed staying at the Halepuna Hotel. I worked incredibly hard to bring my family to Hawaii, and I am extremely disappointed that so much of our time at Hilton Hawaiian Village was spent dealing with problems that should never have become our responsibility. Over three nights, we experienced two separate water leaks and repeated hot-water issues. These weren't minor inconveniences--they significantly disrupted our family vacation. The worst night, I slept approximately two hours. With water leaking into our room, I chose to stay awake and deal with the situation myself because I didn't want maintenance repeatedly coming into the room and waking my 1-year-old and 3-year-old children. Instead of resting and enjoying the next day with my family, I was exhausted because I had essentially spent the night protecting my children's sleep while dealing with the hotel's maintenance problem. That is unacceptable at a resort of this caliber. Management eventually provided compensation, and I appreciate that they acknowledged the situation. However, I absolutely do not believe the compensation matched the severity of what we experienced. I didn't work all year and spend thousands of dollars bringing my family to Hawaii to spend a significant portion of our vacation calling guest services, dealing with leaks, worrying about hot water, and effectively helping manage Hilton's property. Money can be refunded. Vacation time with my children cannot. For the price and reputation of this resort, our experience fell dramatically below what any family should reasonably expect.

Once my room became available I dropped off my luggage and then went directly to the beach. When I returned I did notice some areas of concern where the room was not very well cleaned. Instead of calling housekeeping I went directly downstairs to the front desk. Front desk personnel were busy as there were only 2 people assisting the long line of quests. I decided I'll just deal with the room uncleanliness later. Please be advised that I did take pictures. Once I checked out on Sunday, March 8th, I advised the front desk personnel my concerns. The manager Ira listened to my concerns as I showed her my pictures. She immediately apologized and ask that I email the pictures to their corporate office. Which I did once I arrived back to the mainland. In the room there's a finger or toenail clipping on the carpet between the console and couch. Also you can also see that portion of the carpet has not been vacuumed. The clothed bench in front of bed was extremely stained and filthy. So filthy that I covered the bench with a bath towel if I needed to sit down. Also the refrigerator was very dirty. I chose not to put any food items in the fridge because of this. Also the bottom of the toilet is stained with either fecal matter, urine or maybe it's rust. If so, clean it then use caulking. These are the concerns I have with room 403. Hopefully I'll be hearing from upper management in regards to my unpleasant stay in room 403. The best part of staying at this hotel was the show Auana which is located at this hotel. Needless to say I will not stay at this hotel again.

I love that it is in the heart of Waikiki, very walkable to shopping and nightlife should you want to leave the grounds of the resort. The nightly local music with hula under the sky is magical. Reservations for dinner, or grab a first come first serve cocktail table at 5 to watch the sunset! There is also nightly jazz in the bar. La Mer is a one of a kind French experience and Orchids is fantastic for any meal of the day. Just outside the hotel is a delightful oceanfront park where the hotel hosted yoga each day. A highlight for me. Great poolside service. The beach is small, so if you are looking to lounge on the beach, that's not really much of an option. This hotel is a member of the Leading Hotels of the World. So you know it has the highest standards. That brand has never steered me wrong. And the fact that it is not under a massive hotel chain umbrella means it can maintain its authentic individuality. Pro tip: if you have a late flight, there is a lounge where you can relax and prepare for your departure, as check out is 11am.

Extremely rude and unprofessional service coming from one of the male bartenders…read more I was accosted while coming out of the restroom , with him frantically asking if I paid the tab, treating me like some sort of criminal. The restroom is in the restaurant area. I never once left the restaurant throughout the entire evening. I was simply on my way to pick up my drink from the seating area and then head to the bar to pay. He told me I was "going the wrong way" when the way I was going would have led to me to the bar... The way this team handles tabs in this bar is abysmal. Right when I sat down, I was attempting to give my bartender my credit card to start a tab. They refused to accept my card and said don't worry about it, and that they'll take it after I'm done. I explicitly told the bartender that I was going over to the lawn right next to the bar (still in the restaurant area) to get a better view of the musical performance, drink in hand. They said go ahead. Nobody should be treated like this

TRANQUILITY! 4.8…read more We stayed here during the first half of our most recent trip to the island, mainly to compare it with another property/residence that we really like and wanted to make a direct comparison. We also used our American Express Platinum Hotel Credit benefit, and it was great that this hotel qualified for it. Ka Laʻi is one block from the beach, backing up to Fort DeRussy Park, a military reservation, and is surrounded by many shops and restaurants, especially along Luxury Row, which is a non-negotiable visit for us. There is so much aloha felt here, with the staff always greeting us with genuine smiles and a willingness to help. The hotel is quiet and soothing, perfect for a relaxing stay. We checked in seamlessly and were provided with cold, refreshing water upon our arrival. Our room was spacious and felt very cozy, with beige carpet and tile flooring, brown furniture, and dark cabinetry in the kitchen. In the seating area, there was a large full-size sofa, an upholstered side chair, and a coffee table. The long dresser and closet provided plenty of storage. A lovely welcome treat was left in our room: two Ka Laʻi reusable water bottles, Hawaiian semi-sweet chocolate, and Beach Brittle. These items were a very nice touch. If you feel inclined to enjoy more Beach Brittle, you can purchase it downstairs in the small shop next to the spa. The bathroom had a double-sink vanity with plenty of counter space, which is a must for me, a large soaking tub, and a wet shower area. It was a generously sized bathroom with plenty of room to move around. Our stay included a wonderful breakfast buffet at Inyō. There was an omelet station with a chef preparing made-to-order omelets, along with a variety of beautiful fresh fruit, hot and cold breakfast items, rice, and Asian-inspired bites. The infinity pool is located near the restaurant, Inyō. It's tiled in a beautiful blue that adds a nice contrast to the tan backdrop of the neighboring high-rise buildings. The pool is long and narrow, accented by a series of raised, tiled planter islands that provide a bit of privacy between guests. We were too busy to swim or enjoy the other amenities, but just walking around the grounds was incredibly relaxing. It's a very peaceful place to stay, unlike many of the larger hotel brands. The standout at this hotel was definitely the service. The staff always made eye contact, greeted us warmly, and either asked about or anticipated our needs. This is a hotel that is definitely worth returning to.

That came in clutch as the beach showers were out of service. The valet people were so kind and got to know their patrons immediately. There were also so many people on stand by for your every beck and call. I especially loved the cafe located on the 7th floor on the way to the pool that had a full espresso machine for your needs. Those ladies that worked there were the best!! They were always ready for my redundant questions. The pool was spectacular. We went swimming during the sunset and it was just the coolest spot. There were plenty of kids swimming when we were there, so we felt at home having a small child as well. The pool has sunscreen ready, cold water, and towels for your pool session. Even though it didn't have bells and whistles, my daughter still enjoyed the child friendly ledges. We got the one bedroom suite with the kitchen and living room. We had two balconies with a partial view and they were both gorgeous. It got a little loud at moments due to the proximity of the downtown Waikiki energy, people playing music loudly on scooters and ambulances, but it never woke us up or annoyed us. I felt spoiled here. I properly pampered and I am excited to have an opportunity to stay again. Kid approved, mommy approved.
