Trust the 1 star reviews!! This place is not great. My technician, was rough and dismissive. He gave me attitude and went crazy on my cuticles. See pictures . This is only 5 days after my appointment and you can see how bad the nails turned out. Prices don't match what they have online (very sus). I went with a group of girls and they lost half of the girls' appointments even though my girls called the day before to confirm their appointments. Even though they remembered my appt they saw me 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. My group was the only non-white clientele in the establishment and we did feel like we were treated differently. I wish I could go back in time and tell ourselves not to go here. I hope my cuticles recover in time for my wedding which is a month away. Extremely disappointed. read more

First of all, the vibes are incredible at Oasis. It's posh, well thought out, curated, clean, and luxurious. The redesign is next level. Everything is state of the art and follows the latest trends. This nail bar is leagues above of any nail spa in the Monterey Bay area. Great for group pedis (new gorgeous chairs), spa dates, and solo time -- I can't wait to see what Mikey will do next. This local family-run business is a much needed addition to the Carmel community. On top of all of this, the quality of service is pristine. I typically get a full acrylic set (they do dip as well as brushed powder) with a design that always gets compliments everywhere I go. I also love the deluxe CBD pedicure when I feel I need something a little extra special. All in all, amazing experience, ambiance, and product. On November 3, me and my mom met up in Carmel to have a mother-daughter weekend. I need you to fill so I decided to go to this place. I got a deluxe pedicure and fill with gel polish and paid $117. When I asked if the top of my foot could be scrubbed, a pus out was used, causing these scratches and scabs to the point where I couldn't really wear shoes the next day. The gel polish that was used the day after and immediately started to peel. I'm not sure if it wasn't cured long enough, I've never really had this problem, but I was extremely unsatisfied when I called the owner asking for a refund. He said let me look into it now 10 days later. I still haven't received my refund. I came to this place because they had good reviews, but I got incredibly different experience. read more

I've been on the hunt for a clean, quality nail salon with exceptional customer service since moving to the peninsula a couple of years ago and I finally found it! Oasis Nail bar is a beautifully designed, very clean nail salon with friendly customer service. The nail tech that did my gel manicure and pedicure was gentle, thorough and efficient with both services. I've always had great service here--until today. Unfortunately, my experience with Jen was disappointing. She wasn't welcoming and spent the entire time speaking in another language to others, which felt dismissive. During the appointment, she accidentally nicked one of my nails and it started bleeding. When I declined her attempt to cover it with glue, she claimed she was applying it to the nail bed, which didn't make sense since we were already in the painting stage. It felt like she was trying to hide the injury rather than address it properly. I didn't feel comfortable arguing, especially as she became defensive right away. I chose not to tip her, and I truly hope she receives some guidance on customer service. Everything would have been great had she admit to her mistake and discounted my service. read more

I usually had manicure and pedicure with Mikey. I always went there every 2 weeks and half or every 3 weeks it depends how busy my work schedules I have. Mikey always did his good job for my mani and pedi everytime I came there to Oasis nail bar. His works results are excellent. The only irritating things I had with Mikey are that he did not keep his consistency of his appointments time with his clients (who made appointments with him in advance). I came on times many times for my appointments schedule with him but I often had to wait at least half hour or even longer sometimes which that really made my other schedules on the same screwed up. I've clearly noticed Mikey got his all attitudes like saying indirectly to his clients: "I'm so good with my jobs & my customers are so admiring me no ones can do the excellent jobs I did! So because I'm so good with my jobs I can just keep taking whoever clients who showing up first which without appointments or with appointments it doesn't matter for me at all! If any if my customers do not like my arrogant & greedy attitudes too bad; either you wait for whatever I do Or you can go somewhere else." Those type of his attitudes which very arrogant, feeling that he's so important & being greedy! I basically really don't respect to anyones who doesn't know how to be on time and respecting peoples' times. But I've just been gave in for a little while until I said enough is enough! I pulled him on the side and I had given him/Mikey serious talks. Since then he started to behave with me as his very loyal and very generous client of his! Along with his arrogant attitudes & his lack off the responsibility to be on time therefore I've also seen most of other workers are doing the same acts like Mikey (being late with the clients who have their appointments). That's so bizarre! That seems like their bad cultures had been planted in that nail salon! That's bizarre! So now, Mikey sold his oasis nail bar to the 3 sisters; then oasis nail bar changed to polished by the sea. I was told that Mikey are still working with the company he sold but not really full time because he has to involve with his restaurant business/chopstix restaurant in multiple locations. But now I heard another different story that he/Mikey is no longer working at that salon/polished by the sea? The stories have been changing around in that nail salon it's quite sketchy. Then I chose a different worker at polished by the sea & the quality is so so. The other things I noticed since Mikey is no longer working there at polished by the sea previously named oasis nail bar; I witnessed there are not many customers coming into this salon polished by the sea & they seemed like cut off the selections of the nail polishes & their massage packages are not the same quality eventhough they still using the same brand of those massage packages. There is so shame; where they were used to providing the quality materials to use (at least they used to use the better quality stuffs but not now) then now since Mikey is gone (no longer working at polished by the sea) & along their other products like nail polishes & massages packages are becoming low quality & adding up to it their current workers are quite grouchy & not friendly. Before at least they still had Mikey and their now products selections' qualities are better than now But those all are changed NOW so no wonder your nail salon (that polished by the sea) is having a lot less customers & I found out some of their workers are quitting too! They accommodate me right away and did the nail fixing and she did not charged. That's no way I'm leaving a 5 starts review. Don't come here unless you're an existing client, or have a ton of time & are willing to cause a scene. first time visiting here -had an appointment for a mani/pedi and after my pedi I was waiting 25 min to be seen for the mani because a walk in jumped me in line. Just as the nail tech was finishing up with that client a "regular client" came in without an appointment and threw an adult temper tantrum because the ladies didn't immediately drop everything for to cater to this woman. First of all, I chose this place due to their great reviews...it's really clean and very nice. Atmosphere is much better than most. The techs have longer than normal and more frequent back and forth conversations than the usual salon IMO. Not peaceful for me but I pick my battles. I got an acrylic fill, with gel. Pretty straightforward. I was very disappointed as the gel started peeling off within a week. Gel was layered on too think as well, so had some bumpy spots but in the sense of time I had to let it go. I can usually go almost a month and no peeling or lifting. But one week later I lost an entire nail due to lifting, of course in the middle of a business trip. I was trying to find a place to buy nail glue late in the evening once my plane landed. For as much money as we pay, I expect perfection and I really can't give second chances. Too expensive and many other places to choose from to take a chance here again. read more

We reserved services for 4 at 11:30 AM and when we arrived, there were 3 technician's, all of whom were working with other customers at the time of our appointment. Pedicure: I rate the service a 5 out of 10 stars and the Manicure: I rate 3 out of 10 stars. My boyfriend and his daughters were not thrilled about their services either. I was also disappointed that their hand and foot "massage" both which came with the service packages we purchased. It was more like touching your feet and hands than anything. I had a really nice experience today. I enjoyed my manicure and pedicure. The staff was lovely and spent a lot of time making sure I had exactly what I wanted.
