ONE OF THE WORST PEDICURES. My friend and I came in because we were in the area, and after our services I regret not driving to our usual place. First the water was cold then the nail tech used a buffer for my cuticles but didn't cut any and she took a long time. I literally had to re-file my nails and trim my cuticles at home. She didn't ask me if I wanted my nails cut either. It's one day later and I can't stop thinking about how disappointed I am. PLUS they charged me $10 to take off gel and then $10 for gel polish and did not inform us. $20 on top of a $50 poor manicure was not what I expected. And on top of poor, expensive service, we weren't even offered anything to drink. My friend and I won't be back. read more

Overall disappointment. First visit, I ask about the wait, was told 15-20 min and they set me up in a pedi chair and I start soaking. 1 hour later I'm getting a pedicure. Thought I'd plan my second visit and called ahead. No wait, but this time I also wanted a manicure. Usually I get gel but the tech talked me into SNS. I have friends who love it so I tried it. It looks nothing like my friends SNS experiences. It's SUPER thick, with rough edges around my cuticle. I just had my second manicure here and I've got to say I've found my spot! First time in I got a pedicure and an SNS manicure. That was the first time for the SNS powder manicure and it was like magic. Super smooth and shiny and lasted forever with ZERO chipping. I swear I could have used my nails as a screwdriver they were so strong. Today my previous pedicure was still in fine shape, while my nails had grown so I went in for my second SNS. Kim, the owner, saw the shades I was considering (there are a ton to choose from) and suggested one that fit me perfectly that I probably would have overlooked and I love it! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. Went in for a simple acrylic coffin french set and acrylic white square toes. Ended up with wonky beige ballerina nails and ugly rounded white toes. No hand or foot looked like the other. It took 3 techs and a receptionist to simply shape my nails, which still ended up curved and not straight like the coffin shape I wanted. Spent over 3.5 hours here and then they tried to charge me almost $200. I explained how dissatisfied I was, and the receptionist responded saying I should have said something before they finished. I politely repeated what I was looking for every step of the way to everyone who's hands I ended up in. I told her the most I was willing to pay was $100. She still took her time talking to the others and said there was nothing she could do. So I pulled out a $100 bill, set it on her desk, and said that's all I'm giving them- take it or leave it. And still! She continued to waste my time. I ended up walking out as she comes back and says "fine, we'll take the hundred." I only went here because it's a two minute walk from my place. I had a really bad experience here with a new technician who made my hands look like an actual nightmare- scary shape and product pooling in the edges of my nails. I was shocked by the result- especially for almost $50. I called to speak with the manager the day after and explained that the nails were very distracting to look at and it was affecting me professionally. We now have a true Oasis on the east side! Great salon/spa with amazing service. I used to see Kim at another nail spa and when she opened up this new place I was going to follow whether she wanted me to or not!! I have been getting SNS nails and pedicures from her for the past year plus and no one is better. She pays close attention to what I like and to making sure my nails look great. While they did an okay job with my nails, I explicitly said that I wanted just a color change on my nails. I said this twice to both the receptionist and her. They didn't even use lotion on my hands to massage, it was very half-done as they were rushing to close (also emphasis on the color change and not manicure). When I told the receptionist that I had not asked for that, she said they sometimes use cuticle oil for massages!? That is 100% not true as I have come before. They treated me horribly and even pointed right at me at the end and then lied. The nail technician was in such a rush to get done that made my super stress and almost wanting to leave half way. The nails do not have an even look and there are bubbles in some nails, my fingers still have blue paint around them. I would actually love to go back and get the nail polish removed. **Updated review: I went back to try to get the shellac off as it was simply horribly applied and get my money back. They don't offer refunds. The owner ended up setting me up with another technician who removed the Shellac and did SNS, nails look good now, but I find it strange that they don't issue refunds for something that was their mistake. At that point in time all I wanted was a removal of the shellac and my money back since I didn't trist **Updated review August 11th. After roughly 15-17 days of the SNS, powder whatever technique is called that the owner convinced me of. Is already chipping of and it has cracked. She said it'd last more than shellac (which typically is 15 days), that it'd last about a month. Seriously, ladies, take your money and business elsewhere, not worth the headache. I have real nails & long ones but for some reason they "built" up my nail. They offered to take money off, I asked instead of a discount can you just make them look uniform as possible. Tried out Oasis after reading great reviews, and I was even more impressed when I left! From my first call, the staff was accommodating and honest with timing. This space is new, decor is modern, and the chairs were great! I was able to get in quickly for a deluxe pedi (color is still going strong 3 weeks out!) and a SNS mani. I was super impressed by the friendliness of the staff and their talent. I was able to check out some of the work that the staff had done for some KILLER stiletto nails with some amazing nail art on the customer before me. True #nailgoalz. Meanwhile, I was getting a gilttery SNS, and I felt taken care of the whole time, but excited as they explained the pros of SNS. Did I mention how many SNS colors this salon has? SO MANY. And I was told they just keep getting more. My nails are still going strong, but I'm ready to go back for another visit and to play with some new colors and nail art. Each time I go in, I notice than when a woman of color walks in and asks for a service, the front desk person always says they are too busy and sorry about that - but then minutes later a white person will walk in and they will take them or say we are busy but can do one service instead of two. It's been bothering me but I wanted to make sure it was a real pattern and not a one off thing before I decided to stop coming and post here. It has happened the past 3 times I have gone. This same situation happened this weekend where I noticed them turn away a Hispanic woman and then accept a white one while the other woman was pulling out of the parking lot. I got SNS done here for the first time and the top layer started flaking off within a week. I've gotten SNS at other salons and never had anything like that happen before. So I came back and asked if there was anything they could do. The lady said it was probably something I did (seriously doubt this is true -- i have been getting SNS for almost a year and this has never happened, yet happened the first time I got it done at this salon), and offered to redo the topcoat. I had to wait a half hour for her to spend 3 minutes filing down the top layer and recoating my nails. They arguably look worse than they did before because she was in such a hurry when she was buffing them that she left them all scratched up before applying top coat. I appreciate the gesture but if you're going to mess it up even more then don't bother. read more
