    Lovely beer garden.

This brewery shares an outdoor beer garden with the cider shop next door. Rustic picnic tables outside, tables and chairs under the canopy. There's a limited menu at the brewery, order drinks and food at counter and pager sounds to let you know when your order is ready. There's several outdoor games, jumbo Connect Four, beanbags, etc. to keep patrons amused and occupied. My chicken Caesar wrap was fresh and tasty, quesadillas reported as good. Not a bad way to spend a warm evening. I'd like to see an alternative floor outside, mini gravel not comfy when it gets into your sandals!

Stopped in while "on the job" I had a margarita flatbread and a Diet Coke Flatbread was very tasty , beverage was good Sat at the bar taken care of by Taylor very pleasant. Place is old school and employees are welcoming. Only beef I have is the non sense service charge of 3% for using a credit card. We all know this was started to help businesses survive covid. Well Covid is over and so should the service fee Other than that all good Thanks guys

We were at the Lincoln Presidential Museum and were getting hungry, so we walked down to Obed and Isaac's. We were seated right away, and the place is a bit quirky but cool. We ordered a local beer and a glass of wine. After reading the menu, we ordered 2 cups of soup. Mr. Bee had the chili and said it was seasoned well and he enjoyed it. I had the beer cheese soup which was also very good. We ordered the Vegetarian Horseshoe Sandwich to share, seems like a local favorite, but we hadn't heard of it. So after we placed our lunch order I googled a Horseshoe Sandwich and learned it is a regional favorite. The sandwich is open-faced. It starts with a thick piece of toasted bread topped with a hamburger patty, or ham or in our case a veggie burger, topped with a rich cheese sauce and French fries. The sandwich evidently originated at the Old Leland Hotel in town in 1928. After learning that I am really glad we decided to give it a try. Boy we were shocked when our sandwich finally came out, the service was a bit slow. The sandwich was huge, it was actually two pieces of bread, two veggie patties, lots of cheese sauce and fries. Just beware if your splitting it, you actually get a full sandwich each. It was really good. The cheese sauce was great with the fries and the patty. While the food was really good, and our server was nice. The service was a bit slow, we had to ask twice for our check. If you are in town at the Lincoln museum or exploring downtown, this is a good spot.

The weeds out front are not very pretty

Good food, drinks and atmosphere. Little on the pricey side. Appetizers are all good but the artichoke dip with pita chips is my favorite. Old house is really cool.

While it was a bit of confusion getting seated due to the bartender's trouble with multi-tasking, we were seated after about 20 minutes of wait time near 1:00. The pretzels & cheese sauce were really a nice way to get our meal started. I order the pony shoe, a smaller portion of an open-faced sandwich containing your choice of meat & cheese sauce, over toast. They top it off with very crisp French fries. I liked it & am glad to have tried a Springfield entree. My hubby had salad & chili. He said that both were OK, but the chili was better after he added leftover cheese sauce from our pretzels. Our server was nice, but seemed scattered. It took a while for her to return with our check. We hadn't expected to be there for 1.5 hours. It took a while for our food to come, so maybe they were having trouble with kitchen staff.

The beer garden is fun! Hard to say if you will have a long wait to eat at the restaurant/to get food. There is a small menu in the beer garden. Enjoyed the bacon wrapped dates and Asian chicken wrap. Strawberry blonde beer was good!

My tribe of 5 agreed on 3 starts. The space is nice, they kept a lot of the original house. The food was good, service could have been better. Me tasted 9 beers (2 flights + 1) there were okay.

Amazing microbrewery in Springfield Illinois. Enjoyed a fantastic lunch at Obed and Isaac's Microbrewery, which is housed in a beautifully restored historic mansion. The different rooms and overall ambiance made for a unique dining experience. The food and the house-brewed beers at Obed and Isaac's were both highlights. The Horseshoe sandwich was a must-try and lived up to its reputation. The service at Obed and Isaac's was great. Benjamin C was attentive and friendly, he definitely went over and above to make our visit a special one. It's a great spot for a delicious meal!

3.5 stars rounded to 4. Burger, fries, onion rings, ditzy blonde beer were really good. Skip the Reuben--not enough meat to cover the bread and not very flavorful. We sat outside under the lights which was cute.

I'm by myself, do singles need to make reservations or just groups?

No reservations are needed. We are first come first serve.

Does anyone happen to know the current pint & flight pricing? I can't seem to find that on Yelp or their website. Thanks!

Buzz Bomb will get you buzzed real good…read more While Emily and I were sitting at Custom Cup Coffee, we were trying to figure out what was in the area that we could walk around to and get some food and a drink. While I made a general list of stuff to do in Springfield, we wanted to see what this part of Springfield had to offer. Buzz Bomb was on my list of places to check out and conveniently, it was about a 5 minute walk away. So, we took our coffees and hit the pavement. Emily and I were greeted by some very friendly bartenders and we took a seat at the bar and got to looking at their beer selection. Emily sampled two of their beers while I ordered the Nanner, Nanner, Nanner. She sampled my beer after her two samples and immediately ordered what I got. It's a hefenweizen that doesn't taste quite like a normal hefe. Usually, Emily can't stand a hefe but really liked this one. I thought it was decent but tasted like if someone who never had a hefe would make if they tried to replicate one. I ended up having two 5oz glasses of it while Em had just the one in the 40 or so minutes we were here. I've seen Buzz Bomb stickers at other breweries so it was nice to finally get to check them out. What I wasn't expecting was Buzz Bomb to be coated head-to-toe in stickers. Everywhere you looked, you'd see at least a handful of stickers on the walls, ceiling, cabinets, cooler, all over the bathroom and anywhere else you could put a sticker. The bartender hooked us up with a few stickers for our collection and then told us a lot of corny dad jokes. She was a hoot and helped make our time here really fun. She was also great at letting us know all the fun activities going on in Springfield during the summer. Unfortunately, we had to move on to the next spot as we were both hungry and didn't want the beer to hit too hard. That means Buzz Bomb is good for a spot of drinking but if you want food, you'll either have to go upstairs to the Korean BBQ place or pick out one of the many places in the area to eat. I'll definitely be back in the near future to grab a shirt (and more beer)

Triple B is my second brewery today and my 299th overall. Stick with me and I'll hit 300 today. I…read morecan already tell Triple B is going to be a good stop. It's a hope in the wall kinda place with a really cool lighting fixture on the wall made out of pipes. Drop everything and go check it out! Not a lot of people here yet at 4:45 on a Friday but a few. Good music was playing and the gent at the bar hooked me up with a flight. I just told him to give me the best they've got and hopefully he did. We will find out together... The Barfight Brown Ale was up first. This is an American brown ale. This one took me back a little to the old days which got me into brewing when Pete's Wicked Ale was big. Nice brown with a bit more kick than your English milds. Helles Bound and Down is a very nice Helles lager. Not much else to say. True to style and tasty. Pennyweight Amber ale was next and honestly I didn't love it. It wasn't terrible by any means it just didn't speak my language. Last up was Walk of Shame a milkshake IPA which is a style I often enjoy. I liked this one, although it seemed a little light in flavor for a milkshake IPA. Of course it might just be my palate. Triple B is serving up some great beers. I also happened to be in just a few days after a big fire right across the street. Triple B was pulling together donations for the businesses and people affected which is so good to see. We spend far too much time arguing over politics and BS differences and not enough on what we have in common. Sad that it takes a tragedy to pull so many of us out of it. If anyone is a glutton for punishment, please, follow my brewery, and distillery, reviews from across the U.S. and beyond! https://www.yelp.com/collection/-8iscFkpiiCI563-FDfwGg and if anyone is wondering who SWPFTD is you will have to check out my review of Black Market Brewing Co in Temecula, CA to understand. Yes, you will need to read into it a little to get the joke but I have confidence in you! I hope my confidence is not misplaced.
