I spent the last ten years going to another salon in Taylor Mill. About three months ago I began to feel disrespected when my nail tech was always at least 30 minutes late if I were her first client of the day. Never an apology, and if I asked for a simple design on my nails (which is only about twice a year), it was always met with rolling eyes and "I don't have time for that!" My granddaughter and I changed to OBI and we have absolutely LOVED IT! Clean, quiet, relaxing, everything is not covered in dust (huge pet peeve of mine), ALL the staff is exceptionally nice and accommodating. If you have not tried OBI you definitely should. Norbily does my nails. I get acrylic with regular polish. Its $20 for fills. Fills with gel is $35. She is quick and knows what she is doing! Always love the shape she gives my nails. I really like that they have people wash their hands before service. read more

I have had to go to another salon in a pinch, if OBI was closed or if I was traveling-- and I always can't wait to get back to Jenny. Sometimes, it takes a while because they are a busy salon and so their best to service several folks at the same time, but it is ALWAYS worth the wait. read more

This wasn't my first time at this salon, but it will be my last. I came in for a FILL IN and I had 2 missing nails. Obviously I knew those needed replaced. She started hammering at my nails with the drill and TOENAIL CLIPPERS. She repeated slipped off my nails and hit me with the drill so many times that my nail finally snapped and she literally cut my finger. Then she proceeds to tell me that she's decided I need a new set and i will be charged in full because "my nails are falling off" which just simply was not true. So she gets another woman to come back her up, I begin to explain what happened to this new person and she CUTS ME OFF WHILE IM TALKING and tells me "just go with Tony" and sends me to another chair. Where Tony proceeds to argue with me about why I need a full set and all I was saying was that I understood if they wanted to do a new set but I didn't want to be charge in full because of what the other woman did, I just wanted a discount. Well the $25 fill in I came in for turned into a $65 rip off. Just for Tony to end the night by telling me "do you think men will like you with your head shaved?" Went to this nail salon and waited 3 hours to get my nails done. Showed the nail technician what I wanted and then when I finally sat down she said that I could only choose from two shades of blue. I showed her the picture of what I wanted and then she couldn't do it. So I settled for a simple set. When I wanted something trendy. If you are wanting a nail salon to do your nails with a picture you found don't come here. The artists cannot do it. Then they charged me as if I got the trendy nails and waiting 3 hours. Unbelievable. Didn't even cut my cuticles or use lotion either. Never going back in with the terrible service and lack of quality service once I got seen. Go somewhere else! read more

Rude! Rude! Rude! I was insulted several times. I work with ink and there is ink permanently under my acrylic nails. Won't come off unless I grind it off. Made me feel dirty when they refused to work with my nails because of the ink under them. But they were okay with cutting all my natural nails down and giving me tips. Would've walked out but they had already started destroying my nails. He then asked if I'm having a mid- life crisis because he saw my car. Wtf? How dare he say that to any woman, regardless of her age? I WILL NOT be going back here. read more

Rather than TAKE PRIDE in their work and do a GOOD JOB, the technician as well as the manager made MULTIPLE EXCUSES for the lazy, poor work, were argumentative and rude as if I was unfamiliar with a good manicure. read more

I've been coming here for years off and on now but I will no longer return ever. I once came in and needed a refill on my dip nails and I was charged $80 for a fill!!! Wtf!! No design or anything just blank yellow nails that were not even that long !! I went to a Crestview hills salon instead and I asked for a fill but they said they could take them off and give me a fresh new set for $35!!!! They lasted just as long and less than half the price for a new set and not a refill!!!! I thought I'll never be getting dip nails here but they happened to be the closest salon near me and I decided to get gel here to try it out and it is the ugliest set I have ever gotten in my life!! I asked for a white set and they looked nice for 3 days !! Then they started getting grey and nasty. I can't go back and complain bc I live in Los Angeles for college and I won't be in Kentucky until next month but I'm furious read more

Sadly this was a disappointing experience. I remember hearing good things about this place a few years ago and so I decided to stop in for a pedi. Pedicures are $30, so not on the low end of what's out there. The tech was very nice and thus why I am giving one star. I have no complaints about his personality. His service however was extremely lacking. My nails weren't shaped straight, he skipped the scrub in the pedicure and did not even use a base coat when polishing. The massage portion was rushed and not relaxing. I think at one time this was the place to go for nail services, but I think they may have gone downhill over the years. read more
