Obot installed several rail lights, kitchen island lights, home automation Lutron system, and a bunch of LED strips. It was a lot of work, probably 10 full days in my new condo. They teamed up with their sister tech company, Wipliance, to provide a seamless experience with the home automation and the sound system. I first met with Lee, the owner, and he gave me recommendations for lighting, fixtures, LED equipment and we came up with a plan. The space itself is very challenging, lots of acoustic hot spots and high ceilings. In the end, his recommendation was perfect, spot on. The lighting looks absolutely great. We couldn't be happier! As for the team, Josh from Obot is awesome, trustworthy, and attentive to detail. Really responsive and makes us feel like important clients. Pete from Wipliance is the tech guy and really responsive as well, has made multiple trips back to get the home automation scenes set up just how I want them. His recommendations are spot on. Overall, 5/5 experience, and I would readily recommend them to anyone. They did some complicated work, and in the end they did a great job. Had a whole-house (Kohler) natural gas backup generator installed. I got two bids, one from Obot and the other from another company. Both were in the ballpark, and authorized Kohler installers. Initially, for convenience, I decided to go with the other company because they would perform the whole job - supply the equipment, electrical installation, gas hookup and dig the 25' trench between the house and the generator - whereas Obot would only supply the equipment and do the electrical hookup. But the other company apparently had overbooked their work, and I wasn't getting any communication from them. That always drives me up the wall, so I committed to Obot, contracted the gas hookup myself and dug my own trench. (Good exercise, actually!) Brent did an excellent job. He and the Obot office were always very communicative and accessible. Best of all, the whole system worked like a charm from the beginning. (In fact, our power went out for 12 hours, less than a week after the installation, giving me an early taste of relief from the many occurrences in our neighborhood.) The inspector took one look at Brent's workmanship and passed the job without hesitation. As he was wiring the transfer switch into my existing circuit panel, he discovered all sorts of weirdness which he corrected without extra charge. read more

I have built 4 houses and done several remodels in my life. I recently completed a 5,600 sq ft very custom and complicated high end and mostly glass waterfront home in north Kitsap county. This construction project took over 2 years. Initially I hired one of the best known high end electical contractors in the Kingston area. They were an absolute nightmare. They were dishonest in their billings, incompetent, made huge mistakes and had the worse customer service of any contractor I have ever dealt with. After a careful search I was recommended to Obot Electric. Obots manager; Jeff Hope, came out to the house and reviewed the problems we had with the previous contractor and made good recommendations on how we could correct the mistakes and complete the project. We came to terms and Obot sent out electrician; Brent Hommertzheim to complete the work. Brent is an excellent electrician with good customer service skills. He was fast and efficient and corrected many of the mistakes. He did a great job of getting us through our final. Obot is a very professional company with a great team. I plan to use Obot for the additional landscape lighting. I have referred them to my friends and family. I have a large commercial project coming up and will be talking with them about that soon. A big Rave to Justin and his crew at Obot Electric! I am a 27+ year interior design professional who has dealt with a lot of electricians over the years. I seen some great work and some not so great work. But Justin and his crew did outstanding work. Trouble shooting many many years odd electrical issues at one of my client's home. They took their time time to troubleshoot the electrical issues, find better replacement parts for outdated fixtures, and a found solution to an outdated door bell with out having to rewire, repaired walls etc. In addition Justin saved the client thousands of dollars buy installing needed security lights again without damaging walls and spending extras. All around the job (it was a big retro fit job), Justin and his crew were professional. Always made appoints well in advance, followed up the night before, showed up on time and never once stepped into the clients home with shoes on. Justin with OBOT to the rescue again. Our last Russian speaking electricians set a time bomb, so to speak. When 2 different circuits were on simultaneously one of our new circuit breakers would kick off. Peculiar and upsetting. I thought I was in for some rewiring from some hidden old wires or worse, hours of labor. With some measurement tools and great knowledge of old houses, new wiring and the law he found where the circuits came together in a wall. He ended up putting in a new plastic box to house the junction of wires. Justin is polite, quiet, very clean, thoughtful and well spoken. On this trip to my house I learned how mechanical he is with automobiles and many other products. If you quietly watch at a distance you will see him methodically in an orderly fashion go about his work. This time for me he had to be a detective and electronic detective. Obot installed a natural gas Kohler generator for us that comes on automatically when the power fails and a line to hook up a gas-powered grill. We are thrilled with their work. Even the electrical inspector was impressed! I told Jeff I wanted to pay one invoice and have them handle everything and that is just what happened. They got the permits, did the job with true craftsmanship and got the inspectors out here to check the work. Brent was our electrician and ran the job on-site. They were all extremely courteous and took special care to keep our carpets clean and clean up after themselves. The electrical panels are all cleanly wired and labeled. Brent even labeled the wires coming out of the panel. Brent patiently explained it all to me and answered every one of my questions and concerns very well. I recently purchased a home that had an out building that has an in-ground pool, this building had been over run by rats and all of the electrical wires had been chewed. Brent was very helpful in informing me of what needed to be replaced and what I needed to install to help me save money with the cost of the pool. Brent was excellent to work he explained different options on how to connect the power and helped us decide the best option for our situation. Had an electrical fire on a Friday afternoon. After the Fire Department left I called around for an electrician to ensure a safe house so I wouldn't be afraid to live in the house over the weekend.
