I do still feel like they should have been clear the first time around.

In fact, they just stopped responding. Jordon was the person who came out to assess where the generator should be placed. He provided the quote to us after a week since the visit. We had to make adjustment to the placement of the generator due to HOA bylaws. I sent him the picture couple weeks after where he stopped responding. I follow up 3 months later, Erin responds to my email in beginning of August. She said she would send me the updated quote, but she was on her way to her vacation. I told her that it was okay for her to get back to me after her vacation, but now she stopped responding. This company may be reliable once you get the installation secured, but until then, it is very difficult to get a hold of someone.

As the price was too good, I called the company to confirm the quote was accurate. I explained the issue to the receptionist again over the phone, and she told me it's gonna be quoted price for sure. On the day of the appointment, the electrician told me the $79 was just the trip fee, and the actual cost to fix the problem was going to be another $169. I told him my communication with the receptionist over the phone, but he simply said a receptionist can't quote for him and when I rejected the price, he left. I then called the company to talk with the receptionist about the incidence, she flat out denied ever telling me the price was $79. UPDATE: after putting up this review, I called the company again, telling them I have the screenshots of their " flat rate" quote. The company asked me to send them a photo of the screenshot and they will investigate and get back to me.I did. I didn't hear back until today, seeing bel-Red's unapologetic response below. I am downgrading my review from 2 stars to 1 star ONE MORE UPDATE: I noticed Bel-Red says there's a "previous communication "CANned" I am not sure what that means, but this is the whole communication I got. If he can provide any communication indicating this is only the trip with a post date earlier than this communication, I would love to see it.

Aaron was very courteous, responsive, and professional. He came prepared with a spare thermostat, even though I had already purchased one. His work was professional and he made sure things were installed level. The price for the same day service was very reasonable. $99 service entrance fee + repair time. I decided to go with Better Air NW, mainly because of their high yelp rating. Install did not go perfectly. I had concerns about excessive equipment noise. Justin (the owner) assured me that if it's not right, it's not done. Air pressure settings needed to be corrected. Due to the vibration, we unmounted the heat pump from the house. After that, it's been smooth sailing. They appear to have a strategy of cultivating customer satisfaction and confidence. If you're shopping around, these guys are a pretty safe bet.

Unlike the 80's or even the 90's you got more choices than Pay N Pak, for home improvement. From Eagle to Lowes and Home Depot, you can find just about all the lighting you would desire. I had about 30 minutes before a medical appointment across the street, so I decided to pull in to see what they offered for outside dusk to dawn lighting. I have three lights that were on my house when I bought it 16 years ago. A very nice-looking light, that I actually found while shopping at Costco about 11 years ago, so I am going to assumed they carried them for years. LED lights don't last forever, and one of the lights is flickering a lot and another is starting to flicker, so I decided it was time to replace all three. I didn't see any lights that met the description, so I asked one of the people up front and he confirmed, they don't keep those lights in stock. What kind of lighting store are you, when you don't keep all kinds of lighting in stock? Truth be told, I think the lighting section at my local Lowes is larger than this store, but if your goal is to put on a glossy show for Bellevue, I don't have faith in your ability to stay in business. He offered to show me lighting online, but I can do that myself and guess what, I'm checking Amazon, before I look at your site. I did see a fixture I liked while I was there, it was a light with a sign for your house number. It was also $1,300. You must be nuts, it was cool looking, but you could put that on sale for $350 and I'm still not buying it. All of this stuff is made overseas and the fact that you are selling it for a 10x markup might make you believe it's worth it, but I suspect contractors that drive up prices and people that believe they are too good for commercial lighting like Home Depot are the ones shopping here. I guess when you are next door to Albert Lee, you can get away with that, but my ex tried to talk me into getting appliances there and I told her, why would I pay $3,500 for a fridge Costco sells for $2,200. Her reply, because the neighbors shop there. I got the fridge and got rid of the girl. Well, only a fool pays retail and regardless of how nice the staff was, I refuse to overpay. I got 3 lights from Amazon for a total of $120. I don't think I saw a single light here for that price and I'd suspect if I returned, which I won't. I'd find the light I bought on Amazon for $40 here for at least $350.

We needed to install a new power line from PSE transformer to an entrance gate in our cul-de-sac as part of the homeowner's association common areas. It was a complex project because Puget Sound Energy (PSE) treats businesses different than consumers. As a business (homeowners association), we "own" the power line from the transformer to the meter. So, we had to figure out how to find the right place to connect up to PSE transformers, dig a 300+ foot trench, install wires in conduit, get permits, etc. Our homeowners association hired Linder Electric who served as the general contractor for the project. The project took many months but it was caused by delays with PSE energy finding the right path for the wires and doing the engineering. B.J. Brewster was the electrician and contact for the project at Linder Electric. He did a great job helping to navigate the whole project which included digging across my front yard to install the underground conduit. The actual installation only took 3 days to dig, install conduit and pull wires, get inspections and reconnect power. The project was completed by the needed due date of the end of June 2016. There were no surprises and everything came in on budget. My neighbors are happy now since we have electrical power to our gate, irrigation system and lights. I found Linder through RES Plumbing and Electrical from Komo radio advertisement. BJ called me back within an hour of my call to RES. BJ was very willing and eager to come quote the job. He takes much pride in his work. We had some surprises that potentially could have delayed completing the project on time, but BJ suggested feasible solutions. His workmanship is excellent. He brought along a journeyman (Komar), who has all the marks of being an excellent electrician, and did a fantastic job. I had exhaust fans replaced, timers added, dimmers added, recessed lighting added (above the tub and in familyroom), GFI's added, and my electrical panel serviced. I couldn't be happier with the workmanship and quality of the job. BJ will be my electrician for future needs. Finding an electrician and one who actually wants to do a good job, let alone do it at all, was a blessing. Before finding BJ, I had to fire two electricians for negligence and price gouging. Electricians are expensive. BJ was more than willing to help me at a moment's notice so I didn't squawk at the quote. read more

I was very impressed with one of Linder's contractors, Jon Williamson, who came to my house to give me a free estimate for work related to (1) breakers in fuse panels connected to my old (now dead) generator and breakers not connected to the generator, (2) rewiring that I thought I needed with a pump on a three-year-old boiler (again related to a generator issue), (3) a problematic outlet inside my home, and (4) a ceiling fan that I tried to replace but wasn't working. We discussed the work that I thought I needed. Instead of pretending that the first three items needed work, Jon checked and found that the first three items on my list did not need fixing. He figured out and showed me the solutions to those three problems and taught me loads about my breakers and outlets. The only work that he will be coming back to do is on the ceiling fan that I incorrectly shorted. I was very impressed by his honesty and knowledge. I highly recommend them. read more

I've hired Linder Electric several times over the past few years. First for a transfer switch installation - Mike did the install, very professional, spent the time to talk about which circuits to connect, finished on time, reasonable price, quality finish. Second was for adding a new circuit for heated floors in a bathroom remodel - Corey did the work, and it was a difficult wire pull. Finish work was perfect, no mess left behind, again, reasonable price. Took longer than anticipated, but, definitely a committment to getting the job done right the first time. Third was installing some recessed lights (remodel), Mike did the work, and just like the first two times I've hired Linder Electric, got exactly what I was expecting. They show up when they say they will be there, prices are always right around what I was quoted, and they guys are always very professional and polite. I have a middle aged house with 45 year old outlets and switches. After getting a new TV and having it hung on the wall for safety (CAT!); I called and/or emailed some 4 different electrical companies about dropping the cords through behind the wall and replacing a bunch of outlets. None of these companies bothered to call or email back, or one, even show up as scheduled. Linder Electric not only responded, but BJ showed up as promised at 9am and spent most of the day dropping the cords and replacing 24 outlets and switches with the new tamper-proof style, adding GFIs where needed, adding a dimmer switch, and changing out a fan timer. He was really great about making sure I knew how much things cost before install and that I was sure about what I wanted. I've had BJ come out and help us a few times now. First was through Home Depot, second, we called him on our own, making sure to specifically get him. I don't Yelp a whole lot, and sad to say, as someone who works in customer service myself, some of the ratings people give business are simply unfair due to them not fully understanding the business they are dealing with. Bj was fantastic, he was quite jovial and willing to explain just what caused the problems we were having. We've got Aluminum wiring in our house, and he's given me a few tips to help keep the house from burning down. I'd never hired a tradesman before this, and I'm pleased to say the experience was not as bad as I originally feared. BJ came out to help me diagnose and search for a solution to tripped breaker problem between my house and my shop. I thought I'd have to dig a 90 foot trench between the 2 and then figure out how to tie in the wiring up to my house panel. He immediately looked for alternatives and alertly noticed that there was power to the other end of the building of the shop. These two guys did an amazing job finishing in one day what we were told would probably be a two-day job. They were very considerate of our furnishings, covering or moving everything that might have gotten dirty. I did not select this company as it was selected by our property management company. I called them with an urgent issue and they had an electrician contact me within 20 minutes and was out to the house within the hour. Joe, the electrician, was wonderful. Couldn't ask for anything more. There was a somewhat complicated electrical issue that took quite a bit of troubleshooting. He attacked it as a challenge with a great attitude. He just moved my dishwasher circuit over to share with the kitchen lights and created a 30-50-50-30 quad circuit that's not GFCI protected for my new stove's outlet. the quad is shared with my dryer, which was not gfci protected since the circuit was installed before that was required. Now my dryer is scorching my clothes and I've been told that I shouldn't use my appliances until an electrician can come take a look. HAh. Oh, also, he didnt' get a permit for the work, either.. I'm guessing because it wouldn't have passed inspection or maybe he thought that he's smart and everyone else is dumb so he can do what he wants. Great. What a total scum bag. Not to mention he tacked on $800 to the bill from the original estimate saying that it was for the GFCI breaker and the additional cost for an outlet instead of it being hardwired (which is MORE expensive) and then he charged me $170 to install the cord to the stove, which I provided. I paid it but planned to discuss with the company to have it refunded, but alas they lost the estimate when they issued an invoice and I can't access it, either. Anyway, wow. What a total creep show.

He had novel solutions for my old house wiring that helped keep the job minimally invasive, and he was very respectful of our space, taking great care to clean up after himself.
