I've been meaning to leave this review but just now got around to it! Our bathroom light switch was non operable so I reached out to Pete through Yelp to troubleshoot it. Pete was very responsive and set up an appointment and came on time. He was very efficient and was in and out in less than 5 minutes and that includes going back to his vehicle to retrieve a spare light switch! The reason I'm leaving 4 stars is because I felt $125 was a bit steep for a simple light switch replacement and the 5 minutes of time spent doing it. We've had Pete come out four times now and needless to say we are beyond satisfied with his punctuality, professionalism and quality of work. He responded quickly to text messages, was on time all four times, was friendly to my two young girls and always had a good attitude. So much so that I was surprised when my 1 year old walked up to him without me next to her. He works swiftly and what he charges is definitely reasonable. I should add that every one of those four visits he had at minimum 6 projects each time and was here for 3+ hours. The last "handyman" that we found from Amazon Home Services left our laundry room incomplete and never answered his phone or came back. Most of his work was a hack job and it was also the first job for Pete to tackle. He took it in stride and finished the job the other guy should never have started. Off the top of my head things we had addressed: - Laundry room including base cabinets, base sink, wall repair, sink repair. Not to mention a handful of mistakes he had to fix from the last guy. - Added outlets in a few key locations around the house and garage. - Replaced at least half a dozen can lights with LED lighting. - Installed a Ring floodlight on the front of our house, requiring conduit to be run through the garage and feed wiring through the wall to the outside. - Two flood lights, two dusk to dawn porch lights. - Chicken wire in the eve to help our Bougainvillea plant go over the archway. - Added a gate anti-slam clasp and a foot anchor for our side gate. - Increased the water flow of both toilets so that they didn't clog every other day due to the hardware inside the tank. I know there's more but you get the idea. I should also note that he won't take on a job just to do it if he feels someone else would be better, such as HVAC questions with zoning the house. I say this because the last guy we had should have told us the laundry room job was too much for him, instead he took it on when he probably wasn't experienced enough in the first place. It's really about trust and transparency and that's what you're getting here. Bottom line, I trusted Pete and his work and will happily call him again in the future. read more

MY HANDY MAN! I gave up on having my horribly installed wooden fence gate repaired after the last local "fence contractor" provided a written estimate, $1200-1600!!! That's approaching the price I paid for my WHOLE good neighbor fence! Felt lucky and tried YELP and Pete returned my call immediately. Quoted a fair price sight unseen, then came out and realized he could repurpose most of the gate; it just need a PROFESSIONAL's touch and the right hardware. So...he cut the price...in 1/2! Arrived this AM right on time. Had battery operated tools and didn't require my finding the closest outlet. In/out in less than, I think, 30 minutes!! This "project" that I've spent HOURS on trying to find the right person to even consider such a small job?! Wonderful! He used stainless steel, longer screws than were originally thrown into this arts'n'craft reject gate...in short, everything that was originally done WRONG, Pete did right.
