I have been a hobbyist of various martial arts for years. Since day 1, the environment at Rounders was a perfect fit. The people are friendly and helpful. The hours and the selection of martial arts classes are excellent. Every last coach knows their stuff, and they teach both kids and adults classes with professionalism and care. I am also always grateful that the black belts, pro fighters, and other experienced trainees are so helpful during class. Not only do you have knowledgable coaches, but your peers support you here too. I have seen multiple martial arts gyms over the years, especially in Orange County, and while all have nice things to say about them, Rounders just hits every single mark. It's a nice and spacious facility with a great setup, but the people are what make it stand out. My only complaint is that I wish I had started here sooner.

My husband and I have been coming here for a few weeks now, and I seriously cannot say enough…read morepositive things about OC Muay Thai. To start, my husband takes once a week privates and is signed up for their weekly classes. I'm currently in grad school so I take once a week privates. Let me tell you: 1.) You will never find a group of more genuine, kind hearted and caring people to teach you Muay Thai or boot camp. Neil coaches my guy and I and he is such an honest and real person. He pushes you, but always safely. David, the owner, is the coolest and he is so honest - he really cares about the people who come to stay here and even those who just come through. Hamid is an absolute joy to be around - he's always happy and energetic. Despite me entering the gym with 0 knowledge in Muay Thai, I have never once felt judged, embarrassed, or any other negative emotions because these dudes just aren't those types of people. 2.) the gym itself is pretty freaking awesome. It's large, it's spacious, the equipment is good and clean and the ring is kept clean. There's never any weird smell (I'm looking at you 24 hour fitness) and I love that their ceilings are high as hell so that there's just a ton of space. 3.) I cant speak for the classes since I haven't been, but husband LOVES them and he is always happy to go and come back from them. He tells me about how helpful everyone is and how even though people are at different stages, everyone holds each other up. There's no "me versus you" feeling. Everyone is here to learn and egos are checked at the door. 4.) The privates with Neil will kick your ass. Enough said. Neil is a lovely, personable guy and he will push you - but as I said, always safely. For example I got a foot cramp today and he stopped the lesson for a few minutes to help me breathe and stretch through it. All in all, I love this place and it's becoming a second home to my husband and I. I look forward to every day that I come in here and I can't wait to get better.

The coaching has been excellent across the board, and the atmosphere is one of the best parts of the gym. People work hard, but there's no ego or posturing--just a welcoming group that's happy to help each other improve. Most of my training has been with Instructor Marcello, and he's been outstanding. He's knowledgeable, patient, funny, and somehow manages to challenge everyone while making beginners feel comfortable. I'm also looking forward to trying some of the cardio kickboxing classes and boot camps. It's nice that there's more here than just Jiu Jitsu. If you're thinking about giving martial arts a shot, whether you're brand new or getting back into it, I'd absolutely recommend Total MMA Studios.

He loves to rough play and doesn't always know when to stop, so we wanted something that would help him build more discipline and self-control. Total MMA has been such a great fit for him. Since starting, we've seen a big difference in his restraint, focus, and confidence. He now does kickboxing before his BJJ class, and he absolutely loves it. It definitely challenges him and tires him out, but in the best way. It keeps him active, engaged, and excited to keep learning. It's also been really special because his dad started taking the adult classes too, so now they both do kickboxing and BJJ. It's become something they can enjoy together, which has made the experience even more meaningful for our family. We're so grateful for the positive impact Total MMA has had on my child.

For context, I don't have a sports background, but I do have strength training and powerlifting experience. I wanted to find something that would build real cardio capacity while still challenging me technically. When I decided to learn boxing, I searched everywhere for a place that wasn't just another "boxing-inspired workout" class. I wanted real coaching, not a group cardio session. That is exactly what Classic Boxing Coach offers. I was quick to become obsessed with boxing. If you're reading this, I encourage you to make the call. Chuck will be honest about whether the class is right for you. This isn't the kind of gym where you can just walk in and spar with whoever's around. The training is technical, and safety is a priority. You can't improve if you're getting hurt. Sparring and drills vary between technical and looser sessions, and because the groups are small, you get a lot of focused attention from the coaches. Chuck is also highly knowledgeable about diet and overall fitness. I attribute a lot of my physique progress to his advice. I weighed 234 lbs the day I walked in, and I'm now around 202 lbs and in the best shape of my life (I'm 6 ft tall). I've also worked with Coach Andrew for a few sessions, and he is great as well. Very challenging and good for conditioning. I haven't yet worked with Coach Morgan but have only heard great things. Whoever you end up training with, you'll get real coaching and a group of serious, respectful boxers who push you to get better. It is not cheap. But also, can you find A5 Wagyu at USDA Select prices? You get what you pay for. Here you get that and far more. tl;dr chunky guy walks in, lean mean fighter walks out. looked for cardio, found a new obsession and made cool friends.
