This place is awesome! I'm not too heavy into nutrition or supplements, but the staff here makes me feel welcomed and not judge. I've been coming here over a year now and I appreciate that they are always helpful and they do a lot with the community events that they host a few times a year. I wanted to check out OC Discount Nutrition. I am always passing by here on my way back and fourth from work, and I finally took the time today to stop inside and take a look. They had a few supplements I was interesting in purchasing,. So I did. I usually go to GMC, but they are way to ridiculous in price of their products. I've been coming to OC Discount Nutrition's Fullerton location for years-- until I lived abroad for a year and moved back only to find out they closed!! ;-; Luckily they have a Costa Mesa location (which would be this one), and even though it's a pretty far drive from where I currently live, OC Discount is my forever go-to. They have such a large selection of high quality supplement brands and its respective flavors that anyone's bound to find something they like-- whether it's pre, protein powder, vitamins, lifting accessories, shaker & water bottles, bags, shirts, drinks, etc. My favorite preworkout brand is Broken Arrow by Repp Sports and the only reason I was able to find out about it in the first place is because an employee from the Fullerton OC Discount introduced me to it. They have other great brands like Black Magic's BZRK & 5% Nutrition, the entire Buck'd Up line, etc. Staff are also super friendly, the only downside is that there are two guys who didn't seem very knowledgeable about the products they sell. The ones who do however, are super helpful and provide awesome recommendations. I wish they had a closer location and hope they're able to continue expanding in the future! This particular location is clutch in the OC because it is right off of the 55 freeway and 18th street. Although street parking is limited they have a bunch of free parking available in the back. I actually have never heard of OC Discount Nutrition but saw a social media post for a free give away of an EVOGEN stack (pick any 3 items). I honestly thought it was too good to be true but I actually WON! So I just want to shoutout the team at the Costa Mesa location because they were both welcoming and cheerful. I got nothing but good vibes. I did walk the store and it was actually bigger then I expected. I was excited to hear and see OCDN open a new location in Costa Mesa! The owners Chris and Tim have established themselves in Fullerton area by being more than just a nutrition store. Some of the ways I have witnessed them add value to customers: They will discourage you from buying something that you may not need and/or help you find that item that fits within your budget. They don't push you to a certain supplement company due to some backdoor deal ( that is so refreshing) They offer diet plans and are truly customer focused- they take the time to dig deeper and ask solid questions about what are trying to accomplish with your nutrition. They have events for the community with vendors and things for kids! How many nutrition places can you buy protein and have your kid take a pic with the ninja turtles??? Not to mention plenty of samples. Their entire staff is first class- I have never had any issues in the years I have been supporting OCDN. They actually have a resume that a lifter can respect ( they are all swole lol) and I alway enjoy chatting with them, over nutrition or a new exercise I learned. Their prices are just as good if not better than any other nutrition store in all of OC, and their 'budget' area for lower costing supps beats most online stores. They offer deals, contests, and giveaways on their social media accounts, check them out. Tim is a fellow devil dog and Chris is an awesome family man, I thoroughly enjoy seeing these guys when I swing by. Someone from their staff always tries to help me out taking my stuff to my truck when I am in the shop with my wild kids lol. OCDN is the type of business Yelp needs to support. I stopped by a week ago for some pre-workout, and this is easily one of the best supplement stores that I have ever visited! Ryuta was helping me, and he was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the products and brands, and he even knew things about each company that an average shopper would not know (such as which formulas have changed, and which companies have gotten in trouble for what). When I walked in, it was like going into a candy store, and I found new products AND obscure products and brands that I have not seen in a long time. It clear that the staff has a lot of love for their business, and the curate their products with great care. If there are two things to watch out for, I would say: (1) Parking can be a little inconvenient because it is located at an intersection with a lot of traffic, and (2) Because there is such a vast selection of great products, you might spend more money than you actually planned, but you will feel good about the things you buy. I will be back, but I can't stop by too often because I know that I would spend more than I mean to. read more

Nice staff. Pretty pricy despite the store name, everything was basically priced as usual. The R1 protein is one of the worst proteins I've ever tried. Mixes horrible, even in a blender. Protein nearly has broken my blender to where it almost stops turning/blending. A lot of fume as well after being mixed. Even after letting it sit 2-3 hours in fridge, still a lot of fume. I found this store as I was driving towards Newport Beach and I did a u-turn to go to it. I'm glad I did because I found the selection even more impressive with some of the old school brands I'm familiar with. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. It turns out this is a corporate store and this is the only location in OC. Prices are competitive and reasonable. I'm also very happy they carry the Mutant Line of products. read more
