The motor for our garage door opener (18 years old) had a faulty relay. It needed to be replaced. Kris provided a quote for the parts and labor needed for the repair. The price was very reasonable. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Kris. I accidentally hit my garage door while backing out, which bent the bottom track where the rubber seal is attached. Because of the damage, my garage door would no longer close properly and it was also affecting the sensor. I started calling around trying to find someone who could come out and take a look at it, and I was honestly shocked by some of the prices I was being quoted. Several companies wanted to charge me anywhere from $100-$200 just to come out to my home, before even doing any repair. When I asked for a ballpark estimate of what it might cost to replace the damaged bottom portion, I was told it could be in the $500 range or more. Then I contacted Kris, and I am so incredibly glad I did. From the moment he came out, Kris was super kind, professional, honest, and incredibly fair. He didn't charge me a service-call fee just to come to my home, which immediately set him apart from the other companies I had contacted. He carefully inspected the damage, explained what needed to be done, and gave me a very reasonable price. Kris repaired the damaged bottom track where the rubber seal is attached for only $375 TOTAL. I received approx. 6-7 quotes for my garage door work -- which included removal of our original wood door (manual open) and conversion to new automatic garage door -- and went with Blvd Garage based on their expertise and quality materials. Richard arrived to quote the job and he impressed me with his knowledge of products but also what could and couldn't be accomplished within our small space. Richard was the first (and only rep) to educate me on the type of motor that would be needed for our space -- which meant the removal of a wall cabinet and need for a closer electrical outlet. Having this foresight allowed me time to prepare the space ahead of installation. To boot, Richard was even able to offer some price flexibility and provided a few options for me to consider. Joshua completed our installation as a team of one and after our post-installation chat, his commitment to a quality installation reassured me that I made the right choice in Blvd Garage Doors. I am so happy this is the place that answered when I was calling around trying to find a garage door repair over the weekend. My spouse accidentally reversed into our door causing both sides to go off track and dents in the top and bottom. When I called they had someone available to come out within just a few hours to give a free diagnosis and then estimate for repair. We were worried we were going to have to buy a new door and it would cost thousands. The guy arrived on time and took a quick look and then said he could fix it right then. It was only a few hundred to get the door working again, and then he recommended replacing the top and bottom bars which were dented and that was only a bit more.
