I was the one on the end of the leash working the dog. My Remington was only 14 weeks old and learning how to walk across beams and other skills. But the best part of the training was that I learned a lot about myself. I was able to take that training to the next level and train my Remington to be my service. The theory is you get about 10 hours with the trainer. A dog needs about 100 hours to master all the commands you are teaching them. Do it falls onto the dog owner to maintain the training. So why not train the owner to be the trainer? It costs about $1,500 for the 10 week training but the results don't lie.

Freaking A. What incredible luck I had…read more.. So 3 years ago I met Jensen at his Malinois Jax at the sellwood food truck (before the pandemic). After chatting with him I come to find he's a dog trainer. Seeing HOW incredibly well behaved Jax was I knew that no matter what dog I would adopt next I would bring them to Jensen. Fast forward a year, I had to put down my dog and remembered how incredible Jax was. I went on the website to find Jax and Butter's is having a litter. Im so excited I call them to get on the waitlist. I speak with Jensen's wife Alina (wonderfully lovely woman) who speaks to me at length and ultimately talks me out of buying one of their puppies because we were planning another baby. I loved how honest she was and decided to put Belgian malinois as a breed for my family aside for at least 10 years. Present day, I rescued a Malinois from Texas... they said she was the most unique and calm and good family malinois there ever was. I adopted her in a heartbeat. At first I was worried because she was behaving like a typical malinois... so I quickly called huffmans and got an appointment. Unfortunately the appointment was for 1.5 months.. I asked to be put on the cancellation list and boom got a cancellation. First off get in fast, make an appointment like yesterday, they are booked out SO far. They also have several trainers who are ALSO booked out, and for good reason. They are good and they are worth it. I first met Brooke at the facility who told me who to speak with, she has Incredible energy, super friendly, I hope I get to work with her! Then I meet David who basically saved me from being dragged across their property trying to walk my very excited mal. He took my dogs leash and helped me walk her calmly back towards where I was to meet Jensen. Then I meet Jensen. Wow. I mean seriously. Wow. I've had my dog for a week and she wouldn't listen to me whatsoever. He said took her leash and within 3 minutes she was everything I wanted her to be. I learned so much in my 2 hour assessment that I was speechless when he taught me how to handle my dog. I wish there was more time for me to gush about my experience at Huffman k9 but having already met half the staff and seriously really appreciating them within such a short time speaks volumes for me. This is the place. Anyone with any type of dog needs to come here. Speechless at how quickly my dog behaved!

When you get a dog from her she is always willing to help train you on how to handle your dog. She has told me very tiny changes to make in training and it fixed the issue almost instantly. Thanks to her guidance, and incredibly well bred dogs, Roxy is already working in my classroom with children at just 4 months old and she's doing an amazing job! But my personal experience is as follows. My brother got a labradoodle from Golden Xpress and that dog was amazing in every way. She just recently passed of old age. My brother plans on getting his next Labradoodle from Golden Xpress. I myself fostered one of her labradoodles as the owner was deployed so I was simply raising the pup waiting for it's owner to return home. I fell in love. What a smart amazing dog. It was hard to hand her over. My son and his wife currently have two Labradoodles from Golden Xpress and they are just complete dolls, so incredibly intelligent, and social. My cousin is currently in the process of getting her first Labradoodle from Golden Xpress and I have met this older puppy and she is also just a complete lover. My son's mother in law is also currently in the process of getting her first Labradoodle from Golden Xpress. I met this 9 month puppy and fell in love. I held her for about an hour and she just put her little head on my shoulder and loved being loved. I wanted to take her home and add her to my fur family, but I have too many dogs right now. So, we took my son's mother & father in law to meet this pup and they fell in love and wanted her. So, I'll still get to spend time with this cutie. Stacey is a good solid reputable breeder. She only breeds dogs that the veterinarian approves for breeding. She would never keep breeding a sick dog as I saw in one reviewer say. My son's two females are in a guardian contract and he had to take them to the vet for the vet to issue full approval for them to begin to breed. My brother had also entered the guardian contract with Stacey and his dog had a difficult time through her first litter and because of that, Stacey dissolved the contract with my brother because she refused to put his dog through a difficult situation again. His girl got spay and was his free and clear so, it is complete nonsense that she continued breeding a sick male dog as stated by one reviewer. I saw a review that she sold a underweight and sick dog. I can guarantee that never happened. To that reviewer: Dogs eat poop. Google it, many groups regarding that and no vet is going say what you said yours told you. Its gross but it happens. Back to my review: Stacey doesn't have a property with 100 dogs on it. Most of the females she breeds are in guardian situations which means that someone like me can pick my puppy and that puppy will be a breeder IF her vet approves it. Once the vet approves it the female will be bred, but that female lives with her new family. It is nothing like what you see in backyard breeding situations where dogs are stacked on top of dogs, unhealthy, and pathetic, and discarded when she can no longer produce. I personally work to find these kinds of breeders and rally to get them shut down. So, I'm sorry but those couple bad reviews are just untrue. From her offerings, we chose private virtual sessions, the bimonthly puppy afterschool sessions and signed up for her membership which gives us great training videos and access to the monthly meet ups as well as the monthly q&a. I highly suggest the private virtual sessions, they were a game changer for us. Kelsey is an AMAZING positive reinforcement trainer. I would give her more than 5 stars, and think everyone could benefit from working with her - especially anyone with a puppy! She has a wealth of knowledge in dog behavior and focuses first and foremost in this area. Her training videos and 1:1 direction literally, and I mean literally, helped me so much during some really challenging moments with Maverick. She did an amazing job with socialization and basic training. I am immensely thankful for the solid foundation because my puppy is very important - she is a service dog in training. I couldn't have asked for a better person to raise my puppy. Teaching my puppy new behaviors is a breeze because her foundation with Kelsey set her up to be attentive and patient. In the past two months since bringing my puppy home we have been working with Kelsey each week in group classes as well as private and one-on-one sessions. I will continue working with Kelsey throughout our training. She is above all an observant and knowledgeable trainer, and very pleasant to work with.

Dogs are kept in empty kennels with no toys or beds. They get one thin blanket for the night. Tried to give them more but was told not to "waste" resources. One dog was whimpering and barking from boredom and loneliness, and I was trained to scream at him and spray him with water to silence him. That's the solution for any barking and whimpering, just angrily scream and spray. The "small dog park" they advertise has nothing in it whatsoever; dogs that can't play in the main park just get shunted between empty kennels to a slightly bigger empty space, are ignored except for yelling, and then put back into the kennels after fifteen minutes. They sleep overnight in those kennels, left by themselves. Terrible place.

More on the first person I met: They were pleasant and seemed to take on my dog's behavior as trainable opportunities. She could teach the other two who work there a thing or two on soft skills. With the vibe of that place though, I wouldn't be surprised if she left. Again, they were left alone with the front desk and a room full of dogs. On to the next.

He has friends. (We sign in on occasion and watch him playing through their live-stream site.) And Jessica does an excellent job grooming our adorable mixed breed pup! Well, This time we left him for weekend boarding. Barklandia is still top dog in our book! They accommodated his special diet without any reservations, and he played the entire weekend. How can we tell? He's exhausted. After his initial excitement of being home, he went straight to his bed. Yogi only does this when he's exhausted. We requested an exit bath, so of course he got one. Because he's been going to Barklandia for daycare, we had no concerns about leaving him for the weekend. It's obvious the entire staff loves dogs. They have proven to be honest and trustworthy! Trixie Pet Care/Denise's time with my girl stopped the licking and 2am wake ups. At this point i think i need Denise more than my dog. Denise is AH-mazing!! Fortunately, I found Denise at Trixie Pet Care and spent a few stress-free days out of town AND came back to happy cats! The first thing I was surprised by was Denise's instant rapport with the cats. They can be standoffish, like most cats, but when she entered my home, they ran up to her! She was completely comfortable with my giant Maine Coon children and they were not afraid of her at all. While we were out, I deeply appreciated the texts every time she was there, photos of what they were doing, and updates on their state of mind (spoilers: they were either playing or sleeping). The way they were acting in the photos let me know they were not stressed and hiding, but rather out and about, eating, and living their best cat lives while I was on vacation. Words cannot express how valuable Denise's services were and we will only use her as our pet sitter from now on!
