This is the place to go if you're in need of a specialty pet food. We recently got 3 new Yorkie puppies and the breeder has recommended Primal, a raw food "paleo" balanced diet. This is the only store in the area that sells Primal and they carry a nice selection of the fresh frozen food. The employees know the products and are very helpful. Possibly be spoiled by nice people in Southern California?? Never thought I would say that, but compared to the rude employees at this store, yeah I'm saying it. Used to live in Washington and every natural pet store I found living there for 12 years have all put this store down to one star. First time I went in, a young women with blonde hair, no glasses helped me out. She was really nice and told me if my dogs didn't eat the NWN raw food I could exchange it. They ate the bag after not eating for a day. So next time I buy another bag and a bag of small batch. Who I'm assuming was the owner and a much older employee were both stand offish and not very welcoming. I got a look when I asked for treats with healthy grain. They did say I could exchange either bag if my dogs didn't eat it. Third time is the charm and last time I'll be shopping here. I went to exchange the NWN as they didn't touch it. The young women did not want to return the bag, and told me it would be just go to waste. I told her what she wanted me to do about that, maybe they should change their store policies as I was told twice I could exchange or return. She said yes if only the dogs refused to it. I told her again, they didn't touch a single nugget. Refused to eat the food. Not sure what the difference between saying they didn't eat the food, verse refused to eat it. Guilt tripping a customer returning food is such bad taste like Hahahah I had to sit in my car have a good wtf laugh and write this review. Onto the next natural store. Lucky for me healthy pet is closer. Let's hope they are nicer to their customers and don't try to guilt them returning product they said they could return or exchange. read more

I love shopping here! My little Morkie (Yorkie/Maltese mix) puppy (3 months old), Lando is always greeted warmly and so am I. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They take the time to answer my questions and make sure I have the right products for my puppy. They stay on top of recalls on foods and they support the diet I've chosen for Lando. They have some samples of products too, which I love! Gives me an opportunity to try something first. I love the area the store is located in as well. Every time we walk around, people stop to say hi to Lando. Some even come out of their businesses to pet him. Great area, great staff, great products and again, they know their stuff! The newest addition to the West Linn Central Village. It is actually the second pet store to open in West Linn in the past six months. And while we love our dogs in the Linn, we seem to have reached a saturation point. The four stores in town, some more focused on pet products and others on grooming, are triangulated around my fair city. I was at the grand opening last month and have returned to check out their supplies. No big surprises since I've visited some of their other locations. So this is the most corporate of the bunch, even though it is the smallest store. The space is clean and well ordered and staff is very helpful. There is a specific dietary supplement I need for my older dog and while they have about four options in stock, none of them are my brand. They offered to order it for me, but since it is stocked by my regular pet store in town, there is no need. So a perfectly fine pet store, but not sure if they will find their niche in the Linn. It is a crowded marketplace for our four legged friends. read more

We were getting a new puppy and wanted to be careful about what products to buy. Excellent help in choosing things especially toys. Also helped us by telling us about the bells for potty training. They really work and she still hits the bells when she wants out. Love their choice of products in the store and can buy knowing things are not from China and they are safe for our little girl. I think the store is great too, but I want to talk about their groomer Laura. She is so good you can't believe it! My male Lhasa Apso/Pekingees is a mean little guy who bites without warning. He loves Laura!! He knows when we're going and is chomping at the bit to get inside and run to her. I also bring my female Maltipoo who is extremely anxious and she's so caring with her. We love Nature's Pet. We moved to the NW a little over a year ago and I couldn't find my Boston Terrier's holistic food. Mason looked up the ingredient list, and we discussed my dog's activity level and issues she's had with other foods in the past. He made a recommendation, which has worked out perfectly. His food knowledge is vast. Her coat looks beautiful, no digestive issues, and she loves the taste. I also bought the same brand in the cat food for my cats. The staff is very knowledgeable about pet nutrition and the food they carry. The groomer, Ashley is great and my 'girls' look terrific (Shitzu and Havanese), plus they like Ashley! I generally let Ashley decide how she is going to 'style' them and I am surprised each time...they always look adorable. Bette Davis loves her 'sweater' cut and Nella always looks elegant...she surprised me with red painted nails today! I don't know what their 'Dad' is going to say about the nails, but I laughed my butt off when I saw them. read more

To me, part of the grooming experience is costumer service. She is the closest groomer to my house and that is why I keep trying to use her services. Although my dogs have looked fine when I have taken them there, trying to schedule an appointment has become a REAL HASSLE!!!. I'm only able to bring them in on Fridays and for the last few months it has not been possible to get them in. For example: I'm calling in July 2014 for an appointment in December 2014 and the groomer not even able to accommodate something for the week before X-mas. She reports being booked 5 months in advance, REALLY? Wow! I consider myself to be a plan freak, yet, it seems practically impossible to work something out with her. I don't know what to make out of that since her prices are just about the same as other groomers. I'm giving up altogether trying to use her services. read more

THE BEST PET STORE IN WEST LINN and surrounding area..!! Please support this local business! I buy ALL my pet items at this store. The owner is amazing!! He is very kind, and VERY knowledgeable! Don't be afraid to ask him and his staff questions about any pet items, whether they carry the item or not, they are VERY knowledgeable about the pet industry. I buy all three of my pets food at this store. I have shopped around and priced out each food that I buy. The food that I but my pets at this store is leaps and bounds better for my animals, fewer and healthier ingredients, AND affordable. I used to buy both my cat and dog food at Pet Smart. Until this store came to West Linn, and checked out there food section, read and compared the ingredients and priced it out. I actually end up saving a couple dollars on a better food, and it's closer to home! They also have a program where after you but a certain amount of bagged food you get a bag for free! How great! I also purchase random pet treats and toys here. There prices for pet toys and treats are a bit pricey, but comparable to any other large or small pet store AND the treats and toys are quality! He won't buy products or sell products that are not good for your animal. It's obvious how passionate the owner is about his business, I love this place. I even stop buy occasionally to just say hello when my pups are with me! They love going in to say hello, and they always get a treat! Lastly, I bring all my pets here for the "Good Neighbor Vet Clinic" when they are in need of any vaccinations. read more

By far the best pet store I've been to. Nathan went above and beyond, researching and trying to find the best food for my German Shepherd puppy. He often times sold me dog food that was less exspencive because it was better for my dog. I drive out of my way to come to his store and will continue to do so no matter how far it is.
