    Challah bread
    Ben K.

I went shopping today to OC Kosher market to get a Challah bread before Shabbat, went to check out and made a purchase I was asking for the receipt (which usually don't really take one) I got home and something told me to look at the receipt and I found out that they are charging almost $9 for a Challah bread of exactly same brand that I used to buy in Ralph's for $4.25 !! This place is a clear rip off I will not go back to this store and would like to share my shopping experience with you guys! Not recommend to do shopping in this RIP OFF place!!

BEWARE: This is what their "chicken schwarma sandwich with everything" looks like - nothing like what their pictures suggest. $15 with tax

BEWARE: Pictures of the food are apparently not real and the management at this place is terrible. I ordered 2 chicken schwarma sandwiches ($30) with everything and received no veggies, only the protein and the pita bread. Management replied to me over the phone that everyone makes mistakes. He suggested that the next time I come, I should make sure that I emphasize I want everything in the sandwich because saying yes to the question "would you like the sandwich with everything?" Isn't clear enough. He did not offer anything in return, not even the missing veggies that I paid for. TLDR: if you like veggies in your chicken schwarma sandwich, repeat 3 times that you want everything in your sandwich and check your sandwich before you leave the shop because this business doesn't care.

Pieces of chicken Size of a finger!!! Shame on you OC KOSHER!!!!

I really didn't want to do this bad review but after today visit I have no choice!!!! They are the only kosher market in OC so they take a HUGE advantage of that and not for the good reasons!!! Prices are extremely high on meat and chicken for no reason. But the reason why I'm putting this review it's today I went and bought a pack of chicken schnitzel paid about $12 and when I get home my wife open it to start cooking. Guess what... they put 2 big pieces at the top of the package so you think it's actually full of nice big pieces and what we actually got is 2 pieces that are not very big and all the rest of the pieces are so small size of a finger!!!! It's disgusting that this is what they do!!! To me it's definitely a RIPOFF and that's not the first time that this happened but I just don't like to give bad reviews but this is too much!!! Look at the pictures. Do your self a favor and don't buy from this place better to do the drive to LA to the Israeli market over there!

We were in the neighborhood so I popped into this place to have a look. You know that going by the name everything is kosher. They have a meat section and they do state in large letters that they have South African Boerewors (kind of sausage like thing) and Biltong (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biltong) -- I'm not a fan of the stuff. Not a big store, but they do have all your needs to get through preparing for your Passover meals.

    Buyer Beware!

Ask the Community - OC Kosher Market

Do they have bone in lamb legs or goat legs?

I think they have bone-in lamb but I haven't tracked down a good source for kosher goat anywhere in SoCal... if you are looking for halal/non-kosher goat legs I'd check out wholesome choice or one of the Halal markets on Brookhurst.

My group of friends and I were purchasing snacks and waiting respectfully in line at Register 14. Our group consisted of one African American individual and three Southeast Asian individuals. When it was our turn to check out, the cashier told us the store was closed and refused to ring up our items. She directed us to customer service instead. When we went to customer service, we were informed that the store was actually still open until 10:00 PM. What made the situation even more upsetting was that after refusing to serve us, the cashier immediately rang up the customer behind us. If the store was truly closed, why were other customers still being checked out? The entire interaction felt targeted, disrespectful, and humiliating. While I cannot know the cashier's intentions, being denied service while another customer was served moments later left my friends and me feeling singled out and unwelcome. Rather than argue, I left all of my items behind and walked out. I have shopped at 99 Ranch for years and never expected to experience something like this. I hope management reviews the surveillance footage and register activity from Register 14 around 9:00 PM on June 6, 2026, and addresses why customers were falsely told the store was closed while others continued to receive service. Until then, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

There's also a deli that makes sandwiches, and the staff member helping me was so friendly and patient. I didn't know what to choose, so they recommended their most popular item: the Great Grandpa Joe sandwich. I ordered the large to share, and let me tell you... it was the best sandwich I've ever had. Delicious, generous, and absolutely worth recommending. One thing to note: there's plenty of parking, but my phone directions took me to the back of the store instead of the front -- a little odd, but easy to fix once you know. Overall, the staff is friendly, helpful, and the whole place feels like a gem. I'll definitely be back.

The wait was made a little better because the staff came around with free deli meat samples for everyone waiting in line, which was a nice touch. We were looking for something that to eat late Sunday and her stall was opened and at first we were ready to leave because no one was around. We wanted pad Thai which was a stall next to her but they were closed. So we asked what she had. She was polite and honest saying she only had the Pho and the green curry. She was honest telling us her pho doesn't sell well and it's might be old but the curry is fresh. My mom if was hungry so we bought two bowls of curry one beef for myself and the shrimp for my wife. Both bowls were huge and my wife ate the hole thing with the white rice that came with it. The ingredients was high with strips of bamboos and round eggplants in a smooth creamy sauce being that was not too spicy. She gave chili oil to adjust for your taste. I couldn't believe it was 12 bucks a bowl including 2 bowls of jasmine rice. That is incredibly cheap and Ita better than any Thai restaurants in OC. She said she used to cook st a Thai restaurant in Irvine before opening this place. The next day we ordered her three rib bone pho because of his fever and he enjoyed it but said it was fine nothing special but he finished the broth and I had the Tom yum soup. The broth was fresh Abe good but it's on my sweeter side with a little fish sauce then it was fine. Yesterday, we ordered the yellow curry which has a creamy sauce containing onions, potatoes and carrots and slices of beef. My son orders three curry which is a little more spicy. This comes with sweet peppers, string beans and onions with beef and finished it so fast. He usually doesn't like Thai food except for Pad Thai. Definitely will be eating curry at least once a week. All three curries have a slightly different taste. Next time I'll hav r pictures.

I noticed other customers approaching staff directly for assistance, so I eventually did the same. The employee behind the counter selected four beautiful salmon steaks for me. However, while packaging them, the bag split open and all four steaks fell onto the floor. The employee quickly picked them up and took them back behind the counter. It appeared that he attempted to rinse them off and package them to sell to me anyway. When he brought them back, I asked, "Didn't those salmon steaks just hit the floor? Could you please get me four new ones?" His response, said quietly under his breath, was, "Oh, you saw that." He then selected four replacement steaks, weighed them, and labeled them for purchase. I was very disappointed that anyone would attempt to sell food that had fallen on the floor. That experience left a very negative impression and made me question the seafood department's food handling practices. The rest of my shopping experience was fine, and the highlight of my visit was one of the restaurants inside the store--a boba and milk tea shop. The service there was excellent, and I had one of the best yogurt and pumpkin milk teas I've ever tasted. That positive experience is the reason I'm giving three stars instead of one. I'll likely avoid purchasing seafood here in the future, but I would definitely return to visit the shops and restaurants inside the store.
