Israel's OC Light Bright has lost me and several of my neighbors from any future Holiday lighting work. All went well with the installation in November. I sent him some drone photos to let him know that I was pleased with the install team & installation turned out nicely. The crew inadvertently took my spool that the lights are stored on of which I asked him to save and return. I sent him a text on Jan 2nd asking when they will be back to remove the lights as well as remind him to return my storage spool. He sent a boiler plate text on Jan 4th with his schedule dates starting Monday, Jan 5th through Wednesday Jan 7th. I replied 11 minutes later asking if he could come on Jan 6th or 7th as I will not be home on Monday Jan 5th. He did not respond. His crew showed up on Monday Jan 5th when I was not home to remove my lights. They were in and out in 11 minutes and did not bring the spool with them. They just left my lights at the front door. When I arrived home at 6:19 PM, I sent Israel a text and photo of the lights asking him to please call me. I followed up with a phone call a few days later of which went to his voice mail. I tried again on Friday. He doesn't pick up or return my calls or text. As a result of his lack of response, he has lost doing any future lighting business with me and a few of my neighbors that I shared my frustration with. I really wanted to like this company. We had them install our lights and they did a great job. We prepaid for installation and take down service. It is currently FEBRUARY 2nd and no one has taken down our lights. My husband finally heard back from them, they scheduled to take them down February 1st. On February 1st, my husband took the day off work to assist in storing the lights. NO ONE showed up or called. My husband sent several texts, made phone calls, I've made phone calls, messaged on Instagram and commented on Instagram posts and we have heard NOTHING. Radio silence. I highly recommend OC Light Bright. They did a very professional Christmas lights install for my two-story house. They were quick and very courteous. During the install, I asked the crew if they could provide an extended wire to my balcony so later I could have a lighted wreath hooked in with the roof lights. Not only did they do it, the crew gave me heavy duty long zip ties to ensure when I get my wreath, it would stay on the balcony. When the strong winds came in the past week, some of the roof lights came unattached. OC Light Bright came in the next day and reattached it. They have phenomenal service and communication. I know it might be a little early but we wanted to get it done before everyone was booked up. We had a consultation with Isreal and let him know what we wanted. This will be our second Christmas since we purchased this home and the first one was kind of Covidy so it didn't count. I always wanted a large wreath on the front of our house at Christmas. They suggested we get our own so we were certain it was exactly what we wanted. I think that was a great idea because now we can keep it here and reuse it next year. The guys showed up today on time and did exactly what we discussed. The light lines are straight as an arrow. For guys showed up with the proper equipment ladders and everything needed to do the job safely and correctly. My husband is a general contractor so I have an eye for this sort of thing. Hired OC light bright to install my Christmas lights and I am beyond amazed at their service. Israel and his team do a fantastic job. First the booking process was simple- I contacted Israel and he sent me a few renderings of my home with the lights on it so I could show the family a visual of how the lights would look. After agreeing on a design I booked the installation for a Saturday and paid my deposit to get my appointment locked in. The crew arrived on the time they promised and got straight to work. Installation took about an hour and half, When the crew finished they showed me how to program my timer and I paid the remaining balance via Venmo. Lights turned on when the sun came down as the timers have a solar sensor, Looked incredible!! This has been a less than stellar experience. We had a date set up for install the first week of November and the guys were a no show. We had to follow up several times before they got back to us and set up a new date. When the lights finally went up, they looked great but then a strand was already out. We notified them immediately and took pictures. They said they'd replace them when they installed our neighbors lights (a referral from us) the following week. That day came and went with no resolution or follow up. Again, we reached out to see what was going on and we were told they'd come out. Nothing. Reached out again and we're told they'd come out over that weekend, and yet again, they were a no show. They didn't once reach out to us and we had to follow up with them. As of now, we've been told that they don't have inventory and are not sure when they can resolve. They refused to refund us anything or make up for the situation. We are still waiting and, unsurprisingly, have not received any updates in over a week. We had referred them to several of our friends and we are just beyond disappointed. They are quick, professional and do a clean job. They are also very responsive should you need an adjustment or to replace a bulb. They're also licensed and bonded which gives you the additional peace of mind. If they are not comfortable doing something that may damage your home, they will tell you. They're not here to make a quick buck and run. Things went smooth getting information over the phone and setting up installation. The gentleman that had met me at my house today was very professional and kind. He went over how he was going to set up the lights. Upon looking into my second story windows he notices they had plastic frames not wood, he also mentioned that they could not put up lights on the stucco around the plastic window frame which would have been the alternative. He was trying to figured out another way but said he would not want my HOA to come back and say there was damage done to the frames. I appreciated his honesty, he made a quick call to Israel to discuss. He then came back to me w/ an offer of $100 off. I have a 1300 square foot townhome, in the front area there is not much we can really decorate so not having the windows done wasn't worth me paying $400. I appreciated the discount but it did not seem worth it to me to go through with it. When he left I received a rude text from Israel, I am so glad I did not go with OC Light Bright. I used OC Light Bright for the first time 2022 Christmas and everything was very smooth... however, I was asked to have my lights installed in mid October 2023 and pay a $100 deposit which I paid and allowed the lights to go up early as I know they get busy. At that time I was told they would send me an invoice.. it was never sent. In November when we turned on our lights, I reached to let them know we had not been invoiced... we also had 7 light not working. They never responded to me. On Saturday 1/6/24 they texted to let me know they wanted to put me in the schedule to remove my lights but I had not paid my balance. I reminded them they still had not invoiced me as promised and I had attempted to reach them in November with no response. My invoice arrived that day (not including the $100 deposit I had already made) when I advised he said just deduct and send the correct amount in which I did that same day. The next day (Sunday) they no showed after I texted him twice to find out when they would arrive. Tuesday, I texted again... no response. On Wednesday I called, Israel answered apologized he was so busy and would put me on the schedule for first thing in the morning the next day (Thursday) NO SHOW AGAIN. Saturday am... texted with no response... Saturday evening.... I posted on my local community FB page asking if anyone had used OC Light Bright and had their lights been removed? A few responses of yes... their lights had been removed Sunday/Monday. At this point I'm asking if anyone knows someone that can take my lights down. But turns out, Israel sees my post Sunday morning and texts me asking me not post negative things on FB and he would be out to remove my lights that very day.... He comments on my FB post that now that my balance was taken care of they would take down my lights..... like it was my fault! They did take my lights down on Sunday. Now after reading other online reviews I see this is not new. This company was being paid twice what I paid in the past for the same service, which I was willing to pay for someone that was responsive and doing what they say would do. I think he has taken on too much work to provide the service promised..... I have no doubt that had my FB post not been seen by him that my lights would not have been removed like many others have experienced. Israel and his team are the most professional team I have seen hanging Christmas lights. My kids LOVED their lights. They even put up our big Wreath up on our roof. All of their work was done like if it was the owners was doing it. Looks like Israel takes care of his employees because their work speaks for its self.
