I've been meaning to get my wisdom teeth out for a few years now but have been putting it off due to anxiety since I've never had a surgery done before. I finally decided recently that enough is enough and it's time for me to finally get them out. I received a referral from my dentist to come to OC Max Surgery. Making a consultation appointment here was super easy and I was able to come in within the week. Upon walking in, the staff was extremely friendly and greeted me with kindness. Checking in was very simple and the wait was not long. The facility overall is very clean and well kept with lots of great up to date technology. I had my consultation appointment with Jennifer and Dr. Farshidi, whom were both great. After Jennifer helped do my xrays, Dr. Farshidi said that one of my wisdom teeth was wrapped around a nerve, which made me anxious to hear at first, but he explained very clearly his strategy to keep my nerves safe and have a comfortable procedure, which put me to ease immediately. Jennifer and Dr. Farshidi also did a great job of informing me of how to prepare before my surgery and how to take care of myself after. Leaving me with all the tools needed to make this surgery as comfortable as possible. The day of the surgery I was able to check in quickly and they took me back to the surgery room. The nurses that were getting me ready were all very nice and made sure that I had an anxiety-free experience before the operation. The days following my surgery were honestly not bad at all. I had little to no pain and swelling the first few days. By day 4 post-op, the remaining pain and swelling had completely passed and I was pretty much back to normal. The post-op instructions given to me were very clear and concise which also really helped me have a smooth post-op recovery. I just came in today for my one week post-op check up with Nancy. Nancy said everything looked great and showed me how to go about irrigating my sockets. She was extremely friendly, patient, and very willing to answer all the questions I had. At one week post-op, I feel fabulous with absolutely zero pain, swelling, or other discomfort, and that's all thanks to the wonderful OC Max Surgery team! My daughter has extreme needle phobia and the thought of getting an IV for her wisdom teeth surgery had her majorly freaking out. Post-op/Recovery: I was honestly amazed by how smooth my recovery has been. I had virtually no swelling whatsoever, only very minimal pain, and by just four days after surgery, I was already able to eat almost anything comfortably without pain!! i should say that their reception and wait times are awful. I had my 6 months follow up and they forgot about me for half an hour at reception and let someone with a half hour appointment after me be seen first, until i had to ask them if they forgot about me - this wasn't the first time they forgot either, as they did the same during my last appointment. So I'm still on the chair right now waiting to see the actual doctor when my appointment was scheduled 1 hour and 30 minutes ago.... expect long wait times and for reception to not do their job - cancel any plans you're supposed to have after :/ read more

6 and a half years later I had one brain surgery 4 years with pain specialist was on fentanyl nothing worked. I had 3 Gemma knife surgery on my right side and one on my left side. Nothing helps still in constant pain from hitting the tooth to brake it and pull it. Hope this helps read more

I had four wisdom teeth removed a little over a week ago and can't recommend OC Max enough! They have a very well-run operation. Consultation appointment was very straightforward, informative, and efficient. Dr. Farshidi was happy to answer any and all questions I had about the procedure and office staff were kind and helpful. The same held true for day of surgery. I had a less complicated case, but I wanna say the surgery itself was less than 30 minutes..?! Incredibly smooth process. Jennifer was the main person involved in aftercare and was very warm, empathetic, and helpful in giving clear directions for recovery. While recovery is never fun, I think it went as smoothly as it could. Most of my discomfort was digestive upset from having to upend my normal diet plus the high dose pain meds. Pain was mild to moderate throughout the first week. When I went in for the check-up appointment, Jennifer reassured me that it was all healing excellently. --Whew! I called late Monday to the office regarding a referral for my mother and the office scheduled us in the next day morning. We did not wait long since paperworks was done online. Amazing communication, making sure you feel comfortable. this was my first surgery, so i for sure was scared. i went to get my extra teeth removed, the doctor explained everything and im glad he also communicated to me about both options i had but also explained the comfort i would feel for each. the day of the procedure, in the beginning i went in scared, but i was calm after they were communicating with me. after i woke up feeling great. felt like i just blinked I wish i knew about this location for when i got my wisdom teeth removed.(had the worst experience with my dentist) im currently in the healing process but i will say they did an amazing job and have helped with my healing process. Buyer beware! Lots of fake reviews from this business. The doctors are well trained and do a good job. But the clinic's service is horrible. The car dealership-like atmosphere here is one to avoid. They try upselling you like CRAZY! Pushing extra services on you that you do not need and they even have salespeople walking around that try to convince you to do the optional services like taking a numbing pill for $25 LOL. Literally feels like a car dealership with the hard sells. And even a doctor, Dr. Kwon, comes in to upsell you on extra services LOL. Only Jen has been the best. I paid for plasma for my bottom wismon teeth.im sure they didnt so it, I was supposed to be put to sleep with iv sedation. THEY PUT A TOWEL OVER MY EYES STARTED TO USE A SHOT TO NUMB ME AND THEN STARTED PULLING. I kept telling THEM I WASNT ASLEEP. THEY TOLD ME TO STOP CRYING ANS SCREAM OR THEY WOULD STOP. I warned the Dr that I have severe anxiety and stress will trigger a seziure (i have epilepsy) Dr. Farzin Farshidi told me to be quiet. The nurses didnt stop him to tell him i wasnt asleep. They were all full of it and treated me like I was crazy They kept saying they were all out. Of course because of the stress I got a seizure and now im stuck in the hospital. This could have been all avoided if i was asleep!! Oh yes they refused to give any paperwork to my husband too. Im sure they didnt finish the treatmeant since the was too busy telling me to shut up. I had hope they would have been a lot nicer. My fear of dentist just got worse. read more
